Abstract

AbstractThe research has been conducted with the aim of analyzing complex expressions in the poem "Wekwekwek" in terms of paradigmatic relationships. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The paradigmatic relationship is a correlation between the morphemes or the alternating words in one such poem structure and has the same function. Paradigmatic relationships in complex phrases which can be seen by using linguistic tools of inflection, auxiliary words, word order, and comparative form. To understand the intentions conveyed by poet in poetry "Wekwekwek" by Mustofa Bisri can be known through paradigmatic relationship. Thus, in order to understand the intent and message the poet wishes to convey in his poetry, we can interpret the complex form of the poem by the paradigmatic relation.Key Words: Complex Expression Form, Paradigmatic Relationships, Poetry

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the cultural value in Candhikala Kapuranta novel as an alternative to dehumanization settlement in IoT era. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data source used is Candhikala Kapurantas novel by Sugiarto Sriwibawa. Data collection techniques used is the technique of referring note, while the technique of data analysis using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the research that has been done, the results of his research as follows. First, the cultural values in Candhikala Kapurantas novel include religious values and social values. Second, dehumanization in the IoT era is individualism, pornography, and intolerance. Thirdly, the cultural values contained in Candhikala Kapurantas novel as an alternative to dehumanization settlement in the IoT era.Keywords: Cultural Values, Dehumanization, Era IoT, Novel

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of the study is to describe writing of deductive paragraphs into Lampung script. This research used qualitative descriptive method including collecting and analysis data. The first step, researcher used written tests and notes as the main data. The data analysis in this research is Padan method. The researcher got the result data. First, inaccuracy the use of the script "a, nga, nya, and ya", letter rejunjung "ar", keleniah "ah" and tekelubang "ang", and use of fullstop. Second data cannot distinguish datas bicek "e" and  datas hulan "e", the use of "a, ya, and ha" script, the use of rejunjung "ar" and redatas "an", and disappearance of word “will, of and stay ". In data 3 inaccurate use of "a, nga, ha, and ya", rejunjung "ar", tekelubang ”ang”, bitan "u" and datas hulan "e" and fullstop. Abstract

AbstractOn its using, language has diverse variation. Language in formal situation will be different from the informal one. Likewise the language for advertisement is different from scientific paper. In Sociolinguistics, the application of a language variant is called as Register. The food recipe discourse is one type of the register for it has specific characteristics in particular grammar and structure. This writing tries to review the application of the register in Blue Band  food recipe discourse. The result of the research indicates that it comprises vocabularies, morphology of derivatives and phrases, and also clauses. The finding register shows ingredients, tools, processing, and, serving.Keyword: register, food recipe discourse, sociolinguistics, vocabulary, morphology

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine whether Cooperative Integread Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model can improve the students’ ability in telling impressive experiences. The esearcher used classroom action research design with data retrieval method on the test in the form of test. The learning model used is Cooperative Integread Reading and Composition (CIRC). Subjects in this study are the first semester students of class VII, MTs Negeri Sukoharjo academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 34 students. From the result of data analysis, it is known that telling impressive experience in writing in cycle I obtained the average value of 72,74 and the complete student reaches 64,7% while in cycle II it is obtained the average 80,55 and student complete 100%. Thus the use of appropriate learning model such CIRC can improve students learning ability in telling the written story.Key Words: Cooperative Integread Reading and Composition (CIRC), written story.

Abstract

AbstractPiil Pesenggiri is the life philosophy of Lampung society. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of Piil Pesenggiri in Pantun Nyekhahkon Maju. Pantun nyekhahkon maju  is one of the rhymes conveyed in the procession of nyambai activity by the indigenous people of Saibatin  in West Lampung. Qualitative method is characteristic of this research. The object of this research is the written verbal word in the form of pantun. Oral analysis technique is stylistic study that is about meaning and function. From the results of data analysis obtained the description of the content of Piil Pesenggiri values in the nykhahkon pantun, first, the whole contents of the pantun illustrates the philosophy Piil Persenggiri detailed in the supporting points. Second,  bejuluk beadek, the family dream can be achieved with hard work. Third, nemui nyimah, which is the behavior of politeness is the key to the success of social life. Fourth nengah nyappur namely, in married life must be good at respecting fellow, support and tolerance. The fifth, sakai sambaian, which is signed  by mutual cooperation in solving all problems.Keywords: values, piil pesenggiri, pantun nykhahkon maju

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe expressive speech acts of PMI Unila Volunteer Corps members in WhatsApp Group and its implications in Indonesian language learning. This research uses qualitative method. Expressive speech acts commonly used by the members of PMI Unila Volunteer Corps are inform of sympathy, condolence, praise, congratulations, apologies, and thank you. Speech act of sympathy represents volunteer help, compassion, and caring. Speech act of  condolence represents sorrow, prayer, and loss. Speech act of praise represents appreciation, attention, and recognition. Speech act of congratulating represents the expression of success and joy. Speech act of apology represents worries and politeness. Abstract

AbstractThis is the follow-up study which is done by the researchers previously. The researchers focus on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in Bahasa Indonesia subject of Junior High School in Klaten Regency. From the result of that, it is known that one obstacle faced by the Bahasa Indonesia teacher in implementing Curriculum 2013 is learning strategy. Based on the problem above, this study focuses on the Bahasa Indonesia learning strategy by taking the population of Junior High School in Klaten Regency. The aim of this study is to describe the language learning plan and strategy in of Junior High School in Klaten Regency. This research design in this study is case study. From the data analysis, it can be seen that Bahasa Indonesia’s teacher of Junior High School in Klaten Regency used conventional strategy (indirect) and it is not relevant to the Curriculum 2013. Those strategies are as follow (1)Classical Learning Strategy;(2)Indirect Learning Strategy; and (3)Heuristic Learning Strategy.Keywords: Learning Strategy, Bahasa Indonesia, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

AbstractLearning media is important element in the learning. Teachers must be able to choose, prepare, use, and develop the learning media for the achievement of learning goals. This study examines the effectiveness of portable e-comics as an innovative alternative media in Indonesian Language learning in grade 7th. The research method  is R & D (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The effectiveness of portable e-comics used validity tests: relevance, consistency, adequacy, and attractiveness. The results of statistical tests that show the average value of the increase from pretest to postest (N-Gain) is 0.8187. It is mean that the level of understanding of portable e-comics material has increased with high category. So, based on the results of this study, portable e-comics effectively used as an alternative media in Indonesian Language learning in grade 7th. Keywords: portable e-comics, media, innovation
