Abstract

AbstractThe research has been conducted with the aim of analyzing complex expressions in the poem "Wekwekwek" in terms of paradigmatic relationships. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The paradigmatic relationship is a correlation between the morphemes or the alternating words in one such poem structure and has the same function. Paradigmatic relationships in complex phrases which can be seen by using linguistic tools of inflection, auxiliary words, word order, and comparative form. To understand the intentions conveyed by poet in poetry "Wekwekwek" by Mustofa Bisri can be known through paradigmatic relationship. Thus, in order to understand the intent and message the poet wishes to convey in his poetry, we can interpret the complex form of the poem by the paradigmatic relation.Key Words: Complex Expression Form, Paradigmatic Relationships, Poetry

Abstract

The teacher faced problems in teaching about learning scenario containedactive learning, creativity, and pleasure. There where results from someworkshops for enhancing learning quality through learning media. However,the use of learning media did not effective in elementary level. The teacherteach in conventional way in teaching their students, the example in teachingstructure, the teacher used conventional board. Wheras, some media weremade and enhanced for learning success, such as using picture card. Throughthis media, active, creative and pleasure learning with Islamic valve will become true.Keyword: Picture card, Structure.

Abstract

Abstract TThis study aims to analyze the meaning of associations in the novel Negeri 5 Menara as alternative teaching materials semantic courses on students PBSI FKIP UNIKU. This research method is descriptive qualitative, that describes the meaning of association in Novel Negeri 5 Menara and its conformity with the principle of preparation of teaching materials. After examined and analyzed and conducted the discussion obtained the following conclusions. 1) Text in Novel Negeri 5 Menara of A. Fuadis work has the meaning of association consisting of the meaning of reflection, affection, connotation, collocation, and stylistic. Among these meanings, the most dominant is the meaning of affection and reflection, and 2) The text in the Novel Negeri 5 Menara  can be an alternative teaching material in the Semantic Subject course on the meaning of the association because it meets the requirements of relevance, consistency, adequacy, conformity with the language development of learners, and in accordance with the characters values.    Keywords: Association meanings, Instructional Materials, Semantics

Abstract

This study aims to know and describe social stratification elements that  found in the Novel” Gadis Kretek” by Ratih Kumala. The study can be a valuable lesson in daily life. This study used qualitative method. The result shows that in Novel” Gadis Kretek” by Ratih Kumala discovered  values, social life in society, and the existence of status dissimilarity from high class to low class that caused social stratification  system of status  distinction in society. Classification of social society level viewed from dimension of wealth, power, honorary, and knowledge resulted in economy field competition.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions and motivations of students in choosing astudy program at the Department of Language and Art. This is a descriptivequalitative study with a sample size of 50 students. The data were collected throughquestionnaires. The results showed that the students perceptions of the study programin the Department of Language and Arts included are considered good. The studentsperceptions of the quality of study programs, lecturer’ s knowledge, the curriculum ofthe study programs, and the graduate of the study program has been good. However,the students perceptions of infrastructure and tuition fees are still low. The student’ smotivation in choosing a study program at the Department of Language and Arts fit ineither category. Things that motivate them in choosing a study program at theDepartment of Language and Arts among others: the desire for developing theirinterests and talents, the aspirations to become a teacher, the desire for quicklygetting a job after graduation, the ability to compete with graduates of otheruniversities, the reliance of the knowledge learned can be the foundation of life in thefuture, Unila status as the State Universities, the certification of teachers, the lecturerswho teach have good quality, and the curriculum in the study program fit the workingworld..Keywords: perception, motivation, Department of Language and Art Unila

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the cultural value in Candhikala Kapuranta novel as an alternative to dehumanization settlement in IoT era. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data source used is Candhikala Kapurantas novel by Sugiarto Sriwibawa. Data collection techniques used is the technique of referring note, while the technique of data analysis using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the research that has been done, the results of his research as follows. First, the cultural values in Candhikala Kapurantas novel include religious values and social values. Second, dehumanization in the IoT era is individualism, pornography, and intolerance. Thirdly, the cultural values contained in Candhikala Kapurantas novel as an alternative to dehumanization settlement in the IoT era.Keywords: Cultural Values, Dehumanization, Era IoT, Novel

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the values of humanity in the novel Shoes Last Toni Tegar Sahidi. The method used in this research is a descriptive method. The novels are analyzed and interpreted based on existing theory, then described in accordance with the objectives of the study. From the results of data analysis, there are eight human values, namely: human and love, human and beauty, human and suffering, human and justice, human and responsibility, human and life view, human and anxiety, and human and hope.Keywords: literature, novel, human value.

Abstract

This study aims to know students’ reading comprehension using SQ3R Method for the third semester students of Indonesia Language and literature education major of STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung. The research sample was 40 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used triangulation tehcnique ( observation, interview, and documentation), and test technique. Validity test data used triangulation technique by checking the data in the same resource. In analysing the data, the researcher employed data triangulation (reducing the data, dicplaying the data, and verifying). The research procedure was implemented in four steps: plan, action, reflection,and evaluation. This study was done in two cycles. The result shows that SQ3R method can improve students’ reading comprehension. In the first cycle, 16 students or 40% students were not  pass in reading comprehension. Then students’reading comprehension was improved 100% in the second cycle.

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of the study is to describe writing of deductive paragraphs into Lampung script. This research used qualitative descriptive method including collecting and analysis data. The first step, researcher used written tests and notes as the main data. The data analysis in this research is Padan method. The researcher got the result data. First, inaccuracy the use of the script "a, nga, nya, and ya", letter rejunjung "ar", keleniah "ah" and tekelubang "ang", and use of fullstop. Second data cannot distinguish datas bicek "e" and  datas hulan "e", the use of "a, ya, and ha" script, the use of rejunjung "ar" and redatas "an", and disappearance of word “will, of and stay ". In data 3 inaccurate use of "a, nga, ha, and ya", rejunjung "ar", tekelubang ”ang”, bitan "u" and datas hulan "e" and fullstop. Abstract

This study aims to describing the lexical cohesion reiterasi in the Buku DongengNusantara 33 Provinsi and its implications for learning Indonesian at junior highschool. The data in this study is the text contained in the Buku Dongeng Nusantara 33Provinsi numbered 39 text. The result shows that the use lexical marker reiterasidivided into two, repetition and hyponymy. Reiterasi divided into three types, namely afull replay, replay another form, and repeat with the replacement / synonyms.Repetition in the form replicates another form is divided into replicates other formsthat have the same basic shape and replicates other forms that have the samereference. Repetition in the form of synonyms divided by shades of meaning, iesynonyms based on additional meaning, value sense (emotive), and the prevalence ofthe use of the lexeme.Keyword: lexical cohesion, reiterasi, folktale.
