Abstract

The low yield of mathematics learning in SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih due to the liveliness and motivation of students in participating in learning is still not visible .. Low and high mathematics learning outcomes are also influenced by several factors, including the students learning style. One effort that can be done to overcome these problems is to use cooperative learning model snowball throwing.The purpose of this study was to determine the results of students mathematics learning through cooperative learning model snowball throwing in terms of students learning styles.The population of this research is all class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih totaling 285 students, divided into 9 classes. The sample was 70 students consisting of 35 students to a class of 35 students for the experimental and control classes were obtained bytechnique. cluster random samplingThe instrument used was a questionnaire and student mathematics achievement test. Data analysis techniques used in this study is a party t-test and t-test two parties.Based on t-test calculation of the two parties to the students learning style extrovert, shows thitung = 3.07 and ttable = 2.021 at significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (3.07> 2,021), then H0 is rejected and H1 received. For the t-test of the parties to the students learning style extrovert show thitung = 3.07 and ttable = 1.684 at significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (3.07> 1.684), then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. T-test calculation of the two parties to the students learning style introvert show thitung = -0.87 and ttable = -2.069 at a significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (-0.87> -2.069), then H0 is  rejected and H1  accepted. For the t-test for students learning styles  introvert  show thitung = -0.87 and ttable = 1.714 at significance level of 5% that  thitung <ttable   (-0.87 <1.714), then H0 is   rejected and H1 accepted. Key words: snowball throwing,learning style, ekstrovert, extrovert

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research were to know the difference of  achievement and improvement in mathematical critical thinking ability of students that given problem posing approach with students that given conventional learning. The method used in this research is the experimental method, with the design of pretest-posttest control group. The population is all students of vocational school in Cimahi, while the sample is chosen selectively from two classes of one of vocational schools. Then from these two classes, it is determined randomly as to which class is assigned into experimental or control class. In analyzing the data, the test of two mean differences is done using non-parametric statistical test Mann Whitney and the t test. The results show that (1) mathematical critical thinking of the students who received problem posing is better than that of those who received conventional learning; (2) Improvement in mathematical critical thinking ability of the students who received problem posing approach is better than that of those received conventional learning Keyword: Mathematical critical thinking, Problem posing

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to reveal the differences in student learning outcomes before and after applied in the learning group learning activities through pretest and posttest. Achievement test done twice, in order to determine student learning outcomes before being treated and determine student learning outcomes after being treated through group learning activities. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on observations and data analysis research concluded that the use of group learning activities in learning can improve student learning outcomes. So learning where there are group learning activities can be used as an early alternative to improve student learning outcomes. Keywords: Group learning activities, Learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract In the academic year 2015-2016 for the first time STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung (STKIP MPL) implementing Applied Internship program (MT). Applied internship is mandatory for students after graduation internship Basic (MD) and the Advanced Apprenticeship (ML). MT This is a new program and the suspect will be perceived together with Field Experience Practice program (PPL). The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematics education students perceptions about the implementation of MT by STKIP MPL. The population in this study were all students STKIP MPL trainees applied consisting of four courses. Determination of the study sample was using technique purposive sampling. Retrieved mathematics education courses as a sample followed by 60 participants. To obtain data on students perceptions conducted questionnaire. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively. Abstract

AbstractStudying and tracking the metacognitive characteristics of students is necessary to be able to choose the strategy or learning method that will be used. This study aims to see how the characteristics of metacognitive profiles of students in the completion of high-order mathematical problems (high order thinking) in terms of mathematical disposition of students and to see the effect of learning that focuses on metacogntif on learning outcomes. Based on the result of the research, it is found that students with high disposition category are able to finish each stage of solving of high level mathematical problem, whereas in low category students still not complete complete problem stages. Stages passed by the students of the low disposition category is the stage of evaluation is to check back the results of answers. In the calculation results using statistical tests also obtained that students who applied learning that focuses on more have a higher learning outcome value when compared with ordinary learning. Keywords: Metacognitive, High Order Thinking, Disposition Mathematics

Abstract

ABSTRACT Each lecturer gives a college contract at the beginning of the lecture meeting, one of the contents is about the timetable for collecting tasks. It  found  that there are students whose job values are low because they often delay the collection of tasks. Because delays in the collection of tasks have an effect on the low value of student assignments, then it needs to be analyzed more about the factors causing delay of academic duty of student. This study only consists of one variable and its descriptive nature taken without formulation of hypothesis. Population in this research is all student of mathematics education force 2014 and 2015 STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung which amounts to 66. The sample of the research is the students who are indicated to have delayed academic task. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the factors causing academic procrastination internal factors include students attitudes toward learning, factors of learning concentration, and study habits while the external factors include the factors of facilities and infrastructure. Internal factors are more dominant as factors of academic procrastination, this means that the cause of academic procrastination or postponing behavior comes from within the student. Keyword : Academic procrastination, factors of academic procrastination.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the relationship of teacher teaching skills according to the perception of students with learning motivation and student learning outcomes. This research uses documentation and questionnaire method, where documentation method is used to obtain learning result data, while questionnaire to obtain teacher skill teaching data according to student perception and learning motivation. The population in this study are students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Banyumas academic year 2017-2018. Sample determination by random sampling technique Data analysis using correlation analysis of pearson product moment and multiple correlation. From the results of the analysis shows that there is a relationship between teaching skills of teachers according to students perceptions. There is a relationship of learning motivation with student learning result of mathematics. And there is correlation of teacher teaching skill according to student perception and learning motivation with student mathematics learning result.Thus the teachers teaching skills and student motivation need to be considered to improve students mathematics learning outcomes. Keywords: teaching skills, pupil perception, motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract Graduation on time is the goal of every student. However, in reality there are obstacles in completing the study in time. One of the causes is the time consuming in writing of thesis which can take more than one year, whereas ideally writing thesis is 6 months. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors of student difficulties in writing thesis. The populations in this study are students who are writing thesis more than one year on mathematics education department in the academic year 2016-2017. The statistical test used is multivariate analysis to find the dominant factor from seven factors that are suspected to be the cause of the student difficulties in writing thesis. The results of this study obtained that motivation becomes the dominant factor which becomes the student constraint in writing thesis. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the student’s mathematical reasoning ability of 7th grade of SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja in learning with the active learning strategy of firing line. This type of research was a quasi-experiment with post-test onlycontrol group design. The population of this study was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling technique. Data on students mathematical reasoning abilities was obtained through a description test. Data analysis uses one-party t test that was right side. The result of the hypothesis was rejected and show that the ability of mathematical reasoning of 7th grade SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja which is taught by active learning strategy of firing line better than students who taught with conventional learning. It can be concluded that the active learning strategy of firing line has a positive effect on students mathematical reasoning ability.Keywords:active learning strategy of firing line, mathematical reasoning ability.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the development of mathematics teaching materials on matrix materials using Microsoft Visual Basic media that is easy to understand learners and quality according to expert materials and programming experts. Based on the assessment of material experts, these teaching materials are included in the criteria very well, with a feasibility level of 87%. Based on the assessment of media experts, this resource is included in very good criteria, with a degree of eligibility of 88%. Based on the results of the test on the learners, this instructional material is included in the criteria very well, with a feasibility level of 86%. Based on the assessment of educational practitioners, these teaching materials are included in very good criteria, with a feasibility level of 86%. So it can be concluded that the end result of the development of this resource is suitable to be used as teaching material of Algebra Liner on matrix material. The final product of this resource is a product that has passed the first and second revision stage. This resource is software that runs on Windows XP, Seven, 77 and Windows 8 and the name "SolusiMatrix".Keywords: Matrix, programming, Microsoft Visual Basic..
