Abstract

Da'wah is an activity to spread Islam at the same time as an effort to answer various Islamic problems that require the maximum possible effort in carrying it out. But in the midst of these efforts, there are still many challenges that must be faced, one of which is the issue of religious plurality debate. This paper tries to formulate the da'wah and debate of religious pluralism and then offer an alternative solution. Therefore this paper raises the issue of the debate on religious pluralism that is being faced by Muslims today and the preaching solution to the problems of the people. The discussion begins by identifying the problem, then formulating the preaching solution to the problems of the people in the form of preaching through a strategic da'wah format by emphasizing the increase in preaching resources in explaining the teachings of pluralism in Islam as something that has become sunnatullah in the life of mankind.

Abstract

This paper relates to the brief history of Sheikh Yῡsuf al-Makassary as well as his brief role in the Spread of Islam in Gowa-Makassar as his birth land.Sheikh Yῡsuf was born in 1626 M and grew up among noble families of Gowa-Tallo Kingdoms and then travelled to seek and deepen his Islamic knowledge from Aceh, India to the middle East (1645-1668) or for around 23 years and then he became a great ṣῡfῑ and left many of his treatises for Islamic community, especially for his followers, which are most of them still preserved at Universiteit Bibliotheq Leiden and the national museum of Jakarta at the present day. The main concept of Islamic mysticism of Sheikh Yῡsuf as one of his reform in the spread of Islam in Gowa-Makassar is the purification of belief (‘aqῑdah) in the Oneness of Allāh or in the Unity of God (tawḥῑd). This is his attempt to explain God’s transcendence (Ilāh) on His creatures. In a quoted al-Ikhlash verse (QS. 112:1-4) and al-Shura’ verse of al-Qur’an that there is nothing comparable to Him (QS. 42: 11), Sheikh Yῡsuf emphasized that the Oneness of Allāh is infinite and absolute. Tawḥῑd  is the essential component in Islam. Moreover he compares “the immaculate tawḥῑd with a leafy tree; Gnostic knowledge (ma‘rῑfa) is its branches and leaves, and devotional services (‘ibādah) are its fruit.” Further he said that if you got the tree, you will get its branches and leaves, and if you got them, you will even look for fruit of the tree. If you did not get its branches and leaves, it is impossible to get its fruit. Therefore, tawḥῑd without ma‘rῑfah is like a tree without branches and leaves, and it is impossible to get its fruit, except if the branches and leaves of the tree grew up again, then its fruit can be hoped. In other words, only a man, who has tawḥῑd  with ma‘rῑfa, could perform devotional service well to God. This teaching was used as the basic reform ideas in the spread of Islam in Gowa-Macassar, South Sulawesi and then brought a big changing to the cultural of his society and then made Muslim in Gowa-Makassar to be a more fervent Muslim. Therefore, one of the reform movements in his homeland was that he tried to pull out and then to release the people of Gowa-Makassar from the bad habits such as activities in serving idols / idols places, alcoholic beverages, cockfighting and gambling in crowded places. Because those can be a great danger to his native land; he said that the collapse of an empire because of the weakness of the faith of its people. On the other hand, the strength of an empire can guarantee the enforcement of sharῑ‘ah h. But it also depends on the leader. A good leader / ruler is one who able to enforce the Islamic law or sharῑ‘ah h in the middle of his society. Thus the main priority in the renewal of his mystical teachings for Muslims believers especially in Gowa Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia is the purification of confidence by implementing ṣῡfism which is more oriented to the sharῑ‘ah  , where he tried hard to reconcile sharῑ‘ah  and ḥaqῑqah. Among the various types of ṣῡfῑ orders affiliated with him, Ṭarῑqat al-Khalwatiyya is the famous one, which is later more popular with Khalwatiyyat al-Yῡsufiyya that has found fertile land especially in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

The realization of the sakinah mawadah warahmah (samara) family is the ideal of every family. Some parameters for the realization of such a family are a wife in a household that is 'Alimah, Zahidah,' Abidah, Murabbiyah, Khaddimah and Da'iya. Many methods can be applied to make it happen, in this study focused on the method of khuruj fisabilillah masturah jama'ah tabligh. This method jama'ah husband and wife out of the house in a few days to do da'wah and study religion specifically. By analyzing the method, it was found 79.16% increase in the number of samara family parameters achieved by the family carrying out the activity.

Abstract

Communication has a very important role in every relationship, one of which is a family relationship. Both in families who live in one religion or who live with different religions. Differences in beliefs do not have such a large impact on the harmony of a family if previously the family already had a commitment to respect each other's beliefs. It is indeed more difficult to maintain harmonious relationships based on religious differences compared to relationships with one religion. But in a family, if parents already trust and respect each other in matters of religion, then parents will also give confidence to their children to choose their own religion so as not to interfere with the establishment of communication between family members. The frequency with which communication occurs frequently between parents and children affects the emotional closeness between parent and child. The more frequent communication occurs within a family, the familial relationship will be more intimate and bring about mutual openness among family members. Because of the communication style given by parents to children can have an influence on the pattern of development of children's thinking.

Abstract

Psychic health is sometimes a problem that is often overlooked in human life. Though psychological health or mental health is as important as physical health. Psychic health in Islam includes the notion of Al-Mutmainnah, which is a peaceful heart, also Al-Sakinah, which is clean. Islam views mental health not only as a harmonious human interaction in worldly interests but also in the context of perfect faith integrity. To treat mental patients need counselling and psychotherapy. There are five things given by the Koran, namely in the form of guidance, wisdom, healing, light, and spirit. Counselling therapy and Quran therapy is a process of assistance to facilitate individuals to overcome their problems on a spiritual journey to God and need to tawadduk humble themselves by hoping for God's forgiveness and mercy.

Abstract

This paper discussed Prejudice and Communication Ethics as Conflict Resolution in Indonesia. It will explore both Muhammad Quraish Shihab and his interpretation of Quran Sura Al-Hujurat: 11-12. Muhammad Quraish Shihab is one of Mufassir in Indonesia. Most of the conflicts had occurred because of the wrong and negative prejudice about someone or specific community. It has happened in Indonesia. There are many conflicts that reasons are simple. But, it had a big effect because of misscommunication and negative prejudice. Moreover, conflicts are in social media. So, the Quran has the solution to it. In Quran Sura al-Hujurat: 11-12, tell us about Ethics of Communication and Prejudice, that was explained by Muhammad Quraish Shihab in his Tafsir, Al-Misbah.

Abstract

Popularity becomes crucial for politicians in the direct elections event. High popularity is the capital to achieve electability. Popularity requires massive political work, including the use of media, one of which is television. Television has the advantage of being able to present messages in the form of audio-visual so that it gives a big influence. This study aims to examine the use of television stations for campaign advertisements for legislative candidates in the 2019 elections. The television stations that are in focus are the two local television stations in Makassar, Fajar TV and Celebes TV. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The informant is a candidate who has experience as a TV broadcaster. The study findings were astounding, where the candidates recognized the greatness and influence of television, but instead did not use it to hoist its popularity. Legislative candidates turn to social media.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Sakinah family coaching with a perspective of Da’wah Fardhiyah in Borong Village of Manggala District of Macassart City. This paper  investigates the issue by addressing it elaborates the Da’wah Fardhiyah methods for Sakinah family coaching. The  factors are related to  economy and aqida (faith). The aims of this issue is “How  the method of Sakinah family coaching with a perspective of Da’wah Dardhiyah in Borong Village of Manggala District of Macassart City.In investigating the issue, this paper employ field research design by using personal communication approach and interpersonal da’wah approach. Furthermore, the samples for this research were selected using purposive sampling technique. This research collect primary and secondary data using interviews, observations and documentations. It  processes the research data qualitatively through data reduction and conclusion. The data validity is achieved through four data triangulation methods, namely method triangulation, triangulation between researchers, data source triangulation and theory triangulation.Conclusion of Sakinah family is an ideal concept of a happy family. This research implies that Sakinah family can be achieved by maintaining strong will as well as good relationships with Allah, family members and show mutual love, undertanding, respect and helpfulness  and good  community members.

Abstract

In the era of democracy, the issue of diversity becomes interesting to be discussed given the importance of maintaining the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). One of the roles of the media is to be a bridge to convey the discourse of diversity in a pluralist Indonesian society. Through diversity journalism, the media has a role in bringing messages of peace and not confusing the atmosphere of conflict through reporting. News dictionaries play an important role in constructing people's perception of an event. One of the diversity journalism was applied by Fajar Daily through the reporting of the Chinatown Culinary Area (KKP) in Makassar. The consistency of peaceful reporting makes the area visited by interethnic residents. The long-term goal of this research is to find out how diversity journalism reconstructs people's perceptions so that they are motivated to create harmony in the midst of multipluralism. It also serves as a guide for the media and journalists in maintaining messages of peace through the news. While the specific target to be achieved is to test the agenda-setting theory and the theory of discourse analysis in the preaching of the KKP in Fajar Daily.

Abstract

Abstract This paper try to describe about the system of relational connection in the guy couple. This connection analyzed by it’s theory to get a conclusion. Actually, in the relational connection, there are the dialectic of centriphetal and centrifugal in which centriphetal energy pull inside to the center of connection. It’s diffirent from centrifugal energy that pull outside from the center of connection. Both of that energy dominate connection one to the other. Because of that, the principle duty of each couple is harmonize both of the diffirent energy for balance, but not make disappear centrifugal energy. Certainly, destructive energy of centrifugal is not avoided. That energy is not be passed away, but it’s has to be compromised and communicated well, so it’s relation can be composed powerfully.  Key word : dialectics, dialogue, centripetal, centrifugal, relational.
