Abstract

This paper would like to see how the customs ('urf) became one of source Indonesian Islamic law. Fiqh Indonesia as reflected in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) in Indonesia contains important fiqh ruling, which not only represents not just the Shafi'i schools, but also madhab four. In addition, another important thing is that it contains KHI customs consideration as a legal basis so that the product appears Gono-gini fiqh treasures which are clearly different to the treasures of fiqh outside Indonesia. Basing on the 'urf is based on the fact that the law change with time, place and circumstances.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamic relationship between Islam and local tradition in Indonesia with special reference to Java and Sulawesi. Based on historical and anthropological sources, the article seeks to understand variety of interpretation and application of Islam among local Muslims within their particular context. With this aim, the article tries to examines the intricate process of religious change as world religion interacts with local forces. The article argues that since the “localization” of Islam was continuing nature in the expansion of Islam beyond the Arab homeland, the same development in Southeast Asia can be expected. By focusing on the frameworks of ‘practical Islam’ rather than ‘normative Islam’ and both accommodation and conflict between shari’ah and adat as a whole system, rather than as separate entities, the article found a common feature of Islam as it is interpreted and applied by local Muslims in Java and Sulawesi. In this two region, Islam became the dominant force but did not completely obliterate the indigenous beliefs and practices. Despite this common feature, Javanese people have been more diverse than Sulawesi people in terms of religious spectrum particularly due to the fact that animism, Hindu-Buddhism, and Islam have been incorporated into Javanese cultural system.

Abstract

Lack of concern towards ethics in politics is a major problem occurring in political practice. This, indeed, opposes the noble mission of politics as an art of state management. Hence, it needs a commitment to deal with political ethics as a behavior synergic with political acts. Moreover, it is necessary to consider that political ethics should ideally become political identity. Based on this, this article will discuss political ethics in contemporary Islam based on Mohammed Arkoun's perspective. Through content analysis of his works, this article will explore Arkoun's criticism toward established concept of "Madinah State" particularly in its relation to political ethics. According to Arkoun, epistemology in Islam should be considered as historical product which is merely applicable in a particular time. Product of thought may not be relevant in all conditions and space; therefore, it cannot be implemented without time constrains. Most of Muslim intellectuals firmly believe that Madinah State is an ideal model of Islamic state. In Arkoun's viewpoint, this belief may only be applicable during the Caliphate periods, approximately between 622 AD. and 1258 AD. He emphasizes that there are no Qur'anic or Hadith texts enforcing Muslims to obey the system of Madinah State. The most important one, in his opinion, is political ethics due to its very essential and universal entity. What has happened along the history of a state may be applied to improve and influence its established political system. In this context, political ethics is not merely about whether a state is either Islamic or secular, but it is about a state that consistently implements ethics in its political system.

Abstract

AIDS is a bunch of deseases sympton to those who are affected by virus (HIV). Up to now, the researchers have not yet found the medical solusion to tackle the virus. In relation to that, there are a number of strategies which are immediately required like acceleration program. The main objective of this research is to understand the influence of HIV intensive programs regarding the knowledge dan the attitude of labor workers. This research employs quantitative approach through pre-test and post test design. The authors come to conclude that there are any intervention influences after using peer education, and showing movies. There are many changes among the labor workers in terms of their knowledge. Their started to realize the huge impact of spreading virus HIV. However, according the research, showing movies to the object of research is more powerful than the others. It is hoped that the sustainability programs can increase the knowledge regarding HIV and AIDS.

Abstract

This writing describes the concept of “ahl al kitab” on the context of political aspect in Indonesia. The main purpose of the writing is to show the existence of ‘ahl kitab’ in relation to the political stage in Indonesia. The methodology of the writing is using normative approaches in order to be able to find out the extent of ‘ahli kitab’ on the context of political aspect in Indonesia. It is show that Islam gives a response to the existence of other religions. Muhammad prophet states that Islam is a continuity of previous religious. The discourse of ‘ahl al Kitab’ on political aspect in Indonesia is related to existence of this statement as a position in between secular and Islamic state. It is realize that the extent of ‘ahl kitab’ concept that covers all religions in Indonesia is still have a problem concerning the existence of religion and believe school that still illegitimate.  In fact, the Muslim scholars in Indonesia are attempt to extent the concept of ‘ahl al Kitab’ in order the existence of other religions are accepted as will religions, including inter married religions.

Abstract

This paper was originally an investigative study focusing on the famous hadith Malays in society. The purpose of this research is to collect the famous hadith (hadits masyhur) in the Malays, then assess the level of hadith to the Malay community concerning the status of hadith which spread among them, especially the fake hadits. The collections of hadits masyhur may be obtained from a variety of sources, such as reading books , local books, magazines, newspaper, jumat speechs, and a collection of recorded religious lectures like Forum Perdana Ehwal Islam Malaysia TV1 and so on. This research employs a critical approach in looking at hadis as the second source of Islamic teaching. It refers to the critical methodology of Hadith scholars who had been instrumental in developing the science of hadith. This study is expected to impose the Islamic community about the importance of sorting hadis which have been implemented among the society in order to apply hadis sahih. Furthermore, Muslims also can avoid the distortions to al-Sunnah or Hadith. Therefore, studying the science of Hadith is strongly important to Muslims, especially among the Malays for keeping the Islamic religion, especially the second source of Islamic teachings, namely al-Sunna or Hadith.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah; 1) Untuk mengetahui isu-isu penelitian yang paling banyak diteliti oleh mahasiswa program magister pada kurun waktu antara tahun 2012-2013, 2) Untuk mengetahui isu-isu penelitian yang memungkinkan untuk diteliti lebih lanjut oleh mahasiswa program magister pascasarjana UIN Alauddin Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengikuti langkah-langkah; 1) mengumpulkan semua data yang dibutuhkan dan terkait dengan penelitian baik yang bersifat primer maupun sekunder; 2) data tersebut kemudian diseleksi kevalidannya; 3) kemudian data tersebut dianalisis; 4) dan selanjutnya data diurai atau diklasifikasi dalam kategori-kategori untuk dijadikan kerangka demi memudahkan dalam membuat sistematika penelitian. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa hasil kajian tesis didominasi oleh penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan dan keguruan. Sementara itu kajian dalam bidang hukum atau syariah menempati urutan kedua. Selanjutnya penelitian tentang tafsir dan hadis dan pemikiran Islam serta ekonomi Islam menempati urutan berikutnya. Sedangkan penelitian dalam bidang dakwah dan sastra Arab masih sangat jarang dilakukan. Implikasi dari penelitian adalah bahwa dengan adanya hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa masih terdapat kajian-kajian yang sangat menarik yang dapat dijadikan obyek penelitian oleh para mahasiswa pasacasarjana UIN Alauddin Makassar.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan ulasan tentang pemikiran tasawuf seorang pemikir kontemporer Iran, yaitu Murtadha Muthahhari. Dengan focus pembahasan pada relasi dan kesatuan ilmu, ima, dan akhlak dalam bingkai pemikiran tasawuf. Murtadha Muthahhari menganut pandangan tasawuf falsafi atau irfan yakni pandangan tasawuf yang didasarkan pada asumsi-asumsi rasional filosofis dalam memahami realitas alam batin (ruhani) atau irfan ilmi (teoritis) dan pada praktek-praktek penajaman intuitif dengan menempuh jalan suluk atau irfan amali (praktis). Proses perjalanan suluk diulai dari ma’rifat yang bersifat filosofis (ma’rifat ilmi) dilanjutkan dengan pengamalan syariat, tarekat, hakikat, hingga menggapai ma’rifat yang sesungguhnya. Konsep tersebut adalah konsep irfan sebagaimana yang dipahami dalam dunia spiritual mazhab Syiah. Orang yang menempuh jalan irfan disebut arif. Dengan menempuh jalan suluk, maka seorang arif akan semakin tertempa kesadaran jiwanya untuk semakin merealisasikan perbuatan akhlak secara praksis. Irfan dibangun di atas fondasi filsafat tentang teologi dan teopani sebagai pembentuk kesadaran spiritual yang diaktualisasikan lewat amaliah dan akhlakul karimah. Maqamat  yang dicapai dan dilalui adalah apa yang dicapai oleh seorang arif melalui upayanya, Sedangkan hal adalah apa yang menghinggapi kalbu seorang arif. Dalam irfan ada enam maqam yang dilalui, yaitu maqam nafs, maqam qalb, maqam, ruh, maqam sirr, maqam khafy, dan maqam akhfa.
