Abstract

Tanjung Village Koto Kampar Sub District Hulu Kampar District has been awarded God with interesting tourism resources to visit. Rural development is geared towards integrated and comprehensive development activities by tricking every component of the community in order to improve the development of each village. The purpose of this research is as follows: To know community participation in the development of tourism village in Tanjung Village Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar District, Riau Province, To know the tendency of community participation in development of tourist village in Tanjung Village Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Research uses quantitative methods. The study took place in Tanjung Village Koto Kampar Hulu Subdistrict of Kampar District. The population of 5.205 people using the Slovin formula is the total sample of 104 people spread in VII hamlet. Sampling method with probability sampling. From 10 (ten) questions asked in the research, it is concluded that: Tanjung Village society Koto Kampar Hulu Subdistrict of Kampar Regency tends to agree Tanjung Village is used as a tourist village, tends to hesitate to have ideas / input in the development of Desa Tanjung as a tourist village, - invited to participate in a meeting about Tanjung Desa development planning as a tourist village, tended to disagree with the meeting about the development of Desa Tanjung as a tourist village, tends to disagree directly involved in the development of Tanjung Village as a tourist village, tends to agree to benefit after Cape Village is made tourist village, tends to agree there is a lack of facilities in the development of Tanjung Village as a tourist village, tends to disagree on the development of Tanjung Village as a tourist village in accordance with the results of the meeting, tending to hesitate to follow gotong royong in the development of Tanjung Village as a tourist village, The endorsement disagrees with the management of the tourist village in Tanjung Village. Abstract

This study was conducted at Kecamatan Tampan. The purpose of this research is to analyze the distribution of income of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The focus of this research is the social and cultural conditions of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The technique of determining samples by Snowball Sampling and setting the number of subject as many as 10 people. The author uses qualitative descriptive method and Instrument data is observation, interview and documentation.Research conducted, the authors found that the social and cultural conditions of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru are: State Family Child Labor, children who work as scavengers come from poor families. Child Labor, most of the children who work as scavengers, are children who are ostracized from their peers. The Workplace Child Labor Environment, most of them live in very modest homes. The Everyday Activities of Child Labor, the child who works as their scavenger collects used goods for a long period of time in a day, they work over 4 hours a day. The Education of Child Labor, most of the children who work as scavengers, are children who are in school age. Distribution of child labor income as scavengers in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City is: All Revenues For Parents, most of the income earned from scavenging is handed or handled by parents. Revenue Shares With Two Parents, some of the proceeds from the sale of second-hand goods are shared for two with his parents.Keywords: Children, Workers, Scavengers, Economy

Abstract

The competition in the economic sector is very diverse, especially in the industrial world in order to ensure the sustainability of the business, many companies no longer rely on marketing strategies, but also to prevent the occurrence of losses on aspects of occupational safety and health (OSH) and environmental protection. EMP conducts Instructional Communication activities that are implemented in SHE Talk activities, ie Toolbox Meeting and Pre Job Safety Meeting prior to perform the work at field. This study aims to determine the credibility of communicators, what are methods and instructional communication media used in SHE Talk activities as an effort to prevent the occurrence of occupational accidents and illness.This research uses qualitative research with descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of 9 persons selected using Purposive Sampling technique, based on predetermined criteria.. Data collection techniques in this study with in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and documentation. The technique of data validity in this research is extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the credibility of communicators can be seen from the expertise. Safety Officer, must follow some International qualifications, one of them is OHSAS 18001: 2007 Certified Lead Auditor, and follow Modern Safety Management Training to become Supervisor and Superintendent. In addition, the belief that is visible from the assertive and clear attitude when leading the activities of meeting toolbox and pre job safety meeting and have extensive knowledge. Instructional communication method used the command , question and answer method, where Safety Officer, Superintendent and Supervisor lead this activity by giving directions about what work will be done today, what are the risks, and how to prevent accident. Abstract

This is a study about the role of United Nation Agency International Developtment in marine conservation Anambas Island, Riau Island Province. USAID is United Nation’s federal agencies that assist to other countries on the event of democracy, enverionment, gender, education etc. USAID has been engaged in marine conservation development in Anambas Island.This script uses the conceptual base with the concept of international cooperation where in USAID and Anambas become the focus of study. It is also supported by the range or nation-state, pluralism perspective and Green theory. The concept directs to the qualitative methode and literature study as the resource of the information.The role performed by USAID were give a fund grant to Indonesia, cooperation with Indonesia’s MPAG and zoning or mapping conservation ragion in Anambas Island, Riau Island Province.Keyword : Role, USAID, conservation.

Abstract

Human Resource Management is very important in a company, one of which is engaged in the hotel industry. The Company provides fair and reasonable compensation to employees is expected to motivate employees to improve their performance. The purpose of this research are: (1) to know the compensation policy given to the employees by the management of Grand Central hotel Pekanbaru; (2) to find out the general description of employees performance of food and beverage at grand central hotel; (3) to know the compensation relationship to employees' performance of food and beverage department at grand central hotel Pekanbaru. Data processing is done by Product moment Correlation test from Pearson. From the results of the study concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between compensation with employee performance in the company. Shown with the results of correlation coefficient test (R) of 0.836 with a significance of 0.000.Keywords: compensation, employee performance

Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research was to know Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti local government coordination of tidal flood prevention in Desa Alahair, Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi in 2011-2015. The main problem found in this research was less of communication that occured in the handling of tidal flood prevention in Desa Alahair meanwhile the area affected by tidal flood was getting worse due to the abrasion. The theory used in this research was government management, government coordination and disaster management. This research used analytical descriptive method with qualitative research type. The type of data used in this research was primary data and secondary data generated through the results of direct interviews with informants who knew and understood the problems in the field, documentation and observation.Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the relationship affected the implementation of tidal flood prevention were several interrelated functions namely planning and coordination, organizing and coordinating, directing and coordinating which included human behavior, human relations, communication, and leadership. Position and coordination, control and coordination.In addition, there were factors hampered tidal flood prevention in Desa Alahair such were unrealized planning, unharmonious communication, and lack of budget of local government of Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti.Keywords: Coordination, Prevention, Flood.

Abstract

This study was conducted at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know the strategy of motorcycle taxi driver to fulfill family economic need. The focus of this research is the characteristics of motorcycle taxi drivers at Kecamatan Tampan. The technique of determining samples in a purposive sampling and set the number of samples as many as 5 people. The author uses qualitative descriptive method and Instrument data is observation, interview and documentation. Research conducted, the authors found that the strategy of adaptation of motorcycle taxi drivers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru in meeting the family's economic needs include: Adaptation, Research Subjects in fulfilling their needs as much as possible to familiarize themselves with the current economic limitations. Goal Attainment, Research Subject has a certain motivation in balancing the economic life of the all-well-off. Integration, the subject of research relies on the relationship and solidarity with fellow motorcycle taxi drivers at the motorbike base. Latency, the subject of research in an effort to keep customers looking for a good relationship. Characteristics of motorcycle taxi drivers in Tampan District are as follows: Knowledge of Traffic Rule, Research conducted found that not all research subjects know the traffic rules. Driving Skills, The general subject of research is skilled in operating the vehicle when mocking. Abstract

Elephant Flying Squad is a conflict mitigation team consisting of four elephants, two males, two females and 8 mahouts . This team has been operated since 26 April 2004 and placed in Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. In carrying out its duties and functions, the team uses persuasive communication to the public by providing information, socialization, and giving examples to minimize conflict with elephants. This research goal is knowing the credibility of persuader, persuasive messages, communication channels, and effects of persuasive communication which done by the Elephant Flying Squad to minimizing conflict between human and Sumatran elephants in Tesso Nilo National Park.This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects involved in this research are chosen based on purposive sampling technique consist of Communication Module Leader of WWF Indonesia Central Sumatra, Elephant Flying Squad Mahout, and people of Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using interactive data Miles model and Huberman with the validity checking of the data is done by using extension participation techniques and triangulation.The results shows that Elephant Flying Squad has credibility as a persuader which is expertness with 6 months training, experience discussion about conflict mitigation, being responsible and dedicating to work and care with elephant existence. Second, it is trust worthiness, the team always do routine patrols for conflict mitigation and drive away the wild elephants and also have quick response if there is report from people. Persuasive messages that used is verbal messages including clarity, assignment and accuracy. While the nonverbal messages by giving some lessons of conflict mitigation, expulsion and practice the way of making a mitigation tool. Communication channels used is personal channels (direct communication) and non personal (mass media). Abstract

DotA 2 game is one of the online game played by millions of people around the world. That vast scale led to the birth of huge online community so that the only way for them to communicate with each other is through virtual communication. Dota 2 players assume that winning the game is their priority so that they will do various way to be win, one of those is by applying psywar strategy that means war by words through the chat and interaction through the web. This study aimed to fiind out the meaning dennotative, connotative, and myth then how it applies in psywar strategy of DotA 2. This study methods is Roland Barthes semiotics analysis which consist of the meaning of dennotation, connotation, and myth. Data collected by used documentation study, observation study, literatur study, online data searching, and interview. The object being analyzed is the screenshoots in DotA 2 game as much as 5 unit analysist. The results showed that there are three meanings according to Roland Barthes semiotics. The meaning of denotation is the words conveyed by the players by using the English phrase, The meaning of connotation is a hidden meaning and not in accordance with the meaning of chat that the players delivered literally, while the myth is a habit of DotA 2 players around the world that result in conventions through Their experiences during the game DotA 2. Psywar strategy implementation is done by instigating, insulting opposing players, and pretending to surrender or known as fake GG.Keywords: semiotic, game, DotA 2

Abstract

The problem of housing and settlement is one of the problems that untilnow is still common in Indonesia, especially in large cities that have a large population and the limitations of residential land. One of the efforts to handle housing and settlement problems is to build a simple housing vertically or commonly called a rental apartment (rusunawa). However, the realization of the rusunawa program is not fully successeful as expected because of the skills and skills in socialization as well as insufficient funding support to provide facilities for socialization. The purpose of this study is to identify, describe, and analyze the socialization of Rusunawa Program conducted by UPTD Rusunawa Pekanbaru by forming a technical team.This research use grand theory of Harold D. Laswell (Effendy 2005:10) which is there are five indicators on it: 1) Who ( who said), 2) Say What (what message to say), 3.) In Which Channel (the media), 4) The Whom (to whom is’s addressed), 5) With What Effect (effect/impact).After research, it’s found that the socialization who is done by the technical team is considered still not optimal. Because after the socialization of many people who don’t know about Rusunawa Program, the information is not up to that, affect the success of socialization of Rusunawa Program for low income communities in Kota Pekanbaru.Keywords: Socialization, Rusunawa, Program
