Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR is about commitment, contribution and awareness to public company. As one of strategy to increase corporate image is to set up and carry out CSR activities are on target. PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru as one of the companies active in the field of oil and gas in the city of Pekanbaru, trying to realize it with focus to carry out CSR activities in several operational areas. This research aims to find out how CSR activities in the run PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru, and knowing the constraints of PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru in carrying that CSR activities. This research used qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru, Jl. Jendral Sudirman No 395, Pekanbaru. With the object of research is the CSR activities of PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru and research subject which all informants that meet the needs of this research, both internally and externally through purposive sampling . Data collection techniques in this research is observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that run the company’s CSR activities in several aspects of life. That is the economic, health, environtment, and infrastructure is related to the role of Public Relations Officer and CSR Officer. CSR activities that run the company are prepared in accordance with need and condition of public (both human resources and resources of the village) and the capability of the company itself. By carryng out CSR activities as an effort to increase corporate image, PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru has been able to create good impression on the community and attract public confidence. In carrryng out CSR activities, there are a number of constraints such as, the lack of CSR officer, the limited budget and the lack of independence of the community, so that the CSR activities undertaken have not been up evenly in various aspects.Keyword: Corporate Social Responsibility, Activities, Corporate Image

Abstract

Delivery of Trans Metro Bus route information aims to make people aware and understand the existence of stop and Trans Metro Bus Route, so it can accept the existence of the Mass Public Transport Means and then motivate audiences to want to use the services of Trans Metro bus or switch from the usual use of private vehicles, be using the public transport services of Trans Metro Bus transportation as a means of transportation that can help them day to day activities The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Department of Transportation Pekanbaru in providing information on Trans Metro Bus Route and the factors that hinder and support the delivery of such information .This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Informants of this study was 4 People Pekanbaru City Department of Transportation employee, 1 stop officer, 4 people who have use the services of Trans Metro bus and 4 people who have never used the services of Trans Metro Bus services are selected using purposive sampling method and Accidental sampling. Types and sources of data consisting of primary data and secondary data. Data was collected by observation, interview and documentation. The technique of data analysis performed using data analysis and model Applebeum Anatol, and engineering data validity checking is done by the extension of participation, triangulation and checking membership.The results of this study indicate that the role performed in delivering Trans Metro Bus route information is in cooperation with the mass media and use interpersonal media, media groups, internet and outdoor media. The role is supporting factors such as the presence of a hot spot networks that facilitate employees in communicating with the public via the Internet. Then the Department of Transportation also has an official car for dissemination of information about Trans Metro Bus and Metro Bus Route Trans. Furthermore, the factors that hinder the role of the Department of Transportation which is the lack of information given by the government budget to support dissemination activities Trans Metro Bus Route. In operation, the amount of Trans Metro bus stop is still minimum, and also the distance between stops is also so far, it makes people become less likely to use the services of Trans Metro Bus.Keyword : Role, Trans metro route, Mass media, Interpersonal media, Media groups, Internet and outdoor media

Abstract

The communication strategy is determining the success of effective communication activities. PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru is one of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) need to communicate or to inform its products and services to the community so that people can recognize and be motivated to use the products and services offered pawn. Based on this, the identification of the issues examined in this study is how the communication process PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru, what kinds of messages conveyed and any media used in attracting prospective customers as well as any obstacles encountered in attracting prospective customers. The usefulness of this study as an evaluation for PT. Pegadaian (Persero) in implementing socialization strategies in order to achieve high public participation.This study uses descriptive qualitative study conducted in PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru located in Jl. Teratai No. 92 Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru-Riau, with the selection of informants using the technique of accidental, and also using purposive sampling technique. The object of this study is the communication strategy PT. Pegadaian with research subjects include customers, prospective customers, branch leaders, and employees. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation.The results obtained indicate that communication strategies PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru performed using marketing communication in various forms consisting of product, price, promotion and place. So the researchers came to the conclusion that the concept has been defined using a marketing communications strategy. Messages obtained in promoting the benefit that the process is easy and takes about 15 minutes pawn goods can be processed and secure storage, because if we are pawning in PT. Pawnshop (Persero) we should not be afraid pawned goods are not returned home following the prescribed procedure, as well as any warranties or goods that have been pawned it will be insured, if PT Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pasar Kodim Pekanbaru there is something unexpected happens concerning the goods then asuransilah will replace the pawn goods, also taking referrals, banners, brochures, signposts and electronic media to promote their products. Abstract

Nowadays, there are a lot of people who fell into the dark side of the world, drugs. There are a lot of people who started using drugs. This is such a bad phenomenon that happened in the society, especially in teenagers. This problem has affected all the activities. Using drugs is a big problem as well as fighting among people with no reason, free sex, etc. But using drugs is one of most big topics that people always talk about. In this problem, the drug addicts came from any kind of economic level. Not only wealthy people, but poor people also did this. Fortunately, In Pekanbaru, there is a place for those people who want to start a new life, a place for rehabilitation, which called Mental Hospital Tampan. But, we can still find some minus from this program. Mental Hospital Tampan still needs more psychologist to participate on this program. Psychologist, a person who can talk to the drug addicts in distinctive way, and in a distinctive room. So the drug addicts can talk about their personality without being scared of people would listen to their problems. By doing this program, we found that the number of people doing drugs decreases. This program really helpful for people in Pekanbaru. This research aims to know all the strategies that the psychologist has been using, how the psychologist talk to the drug addicts, when does the psychologist tell all the important things to the drug addicts, and what is the effect of doing this program.This research uses qualitative method, where all the data has been gotten from observation, interview, and documentation. There are 5 informant, which consist of (drug agency managers, head of the rehabilitation unit, administrator, counselor, and resident). Analytical data techniques that has been using in this research is Milles and Huberman techniques.The result of the research showed that persuasive communication in Mental Hospital Tampan has been applied some methods. One of the methods is approaching the drug addicts and giving them some motivation as well as advices that affect to their way of thinking. So they can think clearly and think about positive things. The other methods is very unique. The psychologist hand the information by movies that motivating the drug addicts, not by any electronic devices. The time the psychologist delivers the information is depends on the time that the psychologist and the resident has been determined before. The biggest aim of this program is to change the way drug addicts think and to change their attitude to a better one.Keyword :Persuasive Communication, Rehabilitation, Drug

Abstract

Intranet is a network that is built on Internet technology in which there are webapplications and data communications technology. Intranet based LAN and using TCP / IP(Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol) that enables a computer to send andreceive data based on the address of each. Thus, the intranet is very suitable for use by thePublic Relations (PR) PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai as the company's internalcommunications media.The purpose of this research is to 1). Knowing the effectiveness of PR in usingintranet, 2). Knowing how to deliver information from the company's internal PR, 3).Knowing the response of employees in the use of the intranet.This study uses descriptive qualitative approach Organizing Theory or Theory ofInformation and Organization Two way assymetrical Model (Model Asymmetric Two-Way).Data collection techniques using nonparticipant observation, in-depth interviews, anddocumentation. Informants selected by purposive sampling technique and technique ofAccidental, informants consisted of Public Relations Section Head, Chief Editor of Data &Media Publications Officer and employees of Pertamina RU II Dumai.From the results of this study, researchers concluded that: 1). PR publishing companypolicies and information well on the intranet, seen from the enthusiasm of employees inresponding it 2). PR plays a major role in publicizing information via the intranet, so that thedelivery of information is quite prevalent in the corporate environment. 3). The response ofemployees in the use of the intranet is good enough, because the employees are veryenthusiastic in response to any renewal of existing on the company intranet. currentlyexisting within the intranet Idea Generation in sub site that serves to accommodate all theaspirations, ideas, comments and so on, but there is still not a direct two-way communicationin the intranet menu.Keyword : Public Relations, Internal Communication, Media Public Relations,Technology, Intranet.

Abstract

Every region in Indonesia has natural resources of each one of them in the province of Riau. However, social issues such as education still can not overcome. Panti Sosial Bina Remaja (PSBR) Rumbai an orphanage that provides social services in the field of development and social skills to teenagers who dropped out of school. This study aims to determine the methods used by social workers to conduct persuasive communication strategies to clients, knowing the strategies used by social workers in coaching clients, and knowing the barriers experienced by social workers when persuasive communication strategies to clients. This study uses qualitative descriptive study, with the selection of informants using purposive and Snowball theory . The collection data techniques are using observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis data technique, referring to the interactive model Huberman and Miles. Where as examination of the validity of data using triangulation techniques and the extension of participation. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy persuasive Social Workers in panti Sosial Bina Remaja ( PSBR) Rumbai done emotionally and rationally, take into account the client's environment, stages purport clien and predict the way of thinking that is most familiar use by persuasive target, The method used is a method of social case work and social group work. Abstract

study was conducted to determine and analyze to identify their communication, communication media selection, assessment, communication and the role of interest komunitor role in communication for PR communications strategy Bengkalis district administration in disseminating election outright in 2015. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to identify their communication, the selection of communication media, the role of communication and assessment purposes komunitor role in communication for PR communications strategy Bengkalis district administration in disseminating election outright in 2015.This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach as a tool of analysis. This research was conducted at the Government Public Relations Office, Bengkalis District, which is the executing agency where elections simultaneously in 2015. The sample in this research that Government Relations and Community Leaders Bengkalis Bengkalis which amounted to 7 people. Data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation.The results of the study are from the introduction of targeted communication is known that prior to socialize elections simultaneously in Bengkalis then conducted the meeting in order to plan socialization which will be held as well as the objects that will be addressed, from the selection of media communication is done by making flyers or pamphlets about the elections simultaneously, from assessment purpose communication message known to the parties involved in the implementation of the socialization of the elections in Bengkalis should focus primarily on delivering the objectives of socialization and of the role of communicators in communication can be seen from the positive impact resulting in socialization election simultaneously in Bengkalis which all parties concerned can carry out their duties in accordance with the functions that have been set before socialization.

Abstract

Violations within personal nonverbal expectations assume that everyone has certain expectations on nonverbal behavior of others and the need to communicate personal distance. If these expectations are violated, people will react to give a positive or negative ratings to reflect the characteristics of the offender. The authors study aimed to determine describe and analyze the nonverbal expectancy violations within personal employee Riau Pos Pekanbaru and also to determine whether the reward valence communicator affect employee assessment toward nonverbal expectancy violations within personal in Riau Pos Pekanbaru.This study used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis approach. Subjects were all employees in Riau Pos Pekanbaru with a total of as many as 81 (eighty one) of the specified categories based on purposive sampling. The collection of data obtained through observation and interviews.The results showed that employees Riau Pos Pekanbaru takes time and personal space for solitude could not be bothered. Time and distance required to be alone addressed and included in the positive offense because of the time and personal space that is required is to seek ideas on the news. Violations expectations in Riau Pos Pekanbaru makes employees work to be uncomfortable eg employees communicate with high intonation, but for employees Riau Pos it has become a habit, let alone still around work. They do not feel disadvantaged as long as it can help clinch a job, help, correct, then it is considered reasonable. So violations are not addressed expectations negative, but positive. Abstract

Adiwiyata program is a program that implemented in school to actualize caring attitude and environment cultured on student. This program launched for the first time on 2006 by government through ministry of environment. SDN 6 Pekanbaru was success achieve three Adiwiyata awards in just two years period.AdiwiyataTeam running this program by using persuasive communication toward students by giving encouragement and example of impelementationabout caring attitude and cultured environment. This research aims to find out persuader credibility, persuasive message, and effect that camefrom the persuasive communiacation of SDN 6 PekanbaruAdiwiyata Team on actualizeAdiwiyata School.This research using qualitative research method with descriptive approach. The subject of this research was choosing by purposive technique who consists of Head Master, Chief of Adiwiyata Team, student guardian who are joined in Adiwiyata Team and students of SDN 6 Pekanbaru. Data was collected through interview, observation and documentation. Data was analyst using Interactive model of Miles & Huberman. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, researcher used the triangulation technique.According to the research’s result, SDN 6 PekanbaruAdiwiyata Team has credibility as communicatorwhich is expertness that get from socialitation and workshop with another school and also their knowledge about environment. AdiwiyataTeam also has trust worthiness by implement caring attitude and environment cultured. Persuasive messege consists of verbalmessege that includes clarity, simplicity and accuracy. Meanwhile nonverbal messege includes giving example of environment caring behavior such practice how towashing hands correctly, saving water and electricity, and also utilize second stuff that recycle into vase, pensil case and screen.Effect that produced consists of three parts, first is cognition, there are increasing, understanding, and awareness on students about environment from information that given by Adiwiyata Team. Second is affection, students start to have caring attitude of environment. Abstract

Healty is the common good internet users are wise to behave in the virtual world as it could be done in compliance with the norms, values, and customs regulations. Meanwhile family first and foremost as a vehicle for the generation of qualified growth required to prepare along with the continued development of information technology and the industry that can carry a positive or negative impact for children. The authors study aimed to determine communication patterns are applied parents of children in the surf healthy adolescents in RT IV RW XI handsome village districts Pekanbaru pomegranate and family communication in an effort to know the healthy surfing at RT IV RW XI village pomegranate Pekanbaru handsome districts. Identifikasi in the study were how is the communication patterns are applied parents of children in the surf sound at RT IV RW XI village districts pomegranate tampan Pekanbaru? How is the communication of healthy families in an attempt to surf at RT IV RW XI pomegranate village districts Pekanbaru handsome?This study used a qualititative method with descriptive approach. Subjects were 3 (three) families in RT IV RW XI village Pomegranate Handsome Pekanbaru District of the specified categories based on purposive sampling. The collection of data obtained through interviews and documentation.The results showed that in RT IV RW XI Village Pomegranate District of Handsome Pekanbaru, Communication patterns in internet usage of three family each unlike single family using communication pattern authoritarian, one family communication patterns permissive (frees), and one family other authoritative communication patterns (democratic). Third family also trying to noting public opinion on its environment. Because of environmental monitoring also needed to provide browsing activity limitation on environmental public citizen, to use technology to things that good and healthy for life.Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Keluarga, Internet Sehat, Kelurahan Delima
