Abstract

Abstract Diseasetype 2 diabetesifnotaddressedcanlead tocomplicationsrequiredroleinthe activity ofan activefamilywith adegree of independenceindependent familiesin caring forpatients withtype 2 DM. The purpose of this research is to identify the relationship between family activity and   level of independence in treating the patient with type 2 DM. Research design used in this research was an analytical survey by using cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at the health center Bumi Ayu and health center Dumai City. Number of samples 59 persons of total sample which were taken by using sampling method was in accordance with non probability sampling. It was an accidental sampling with due regard to inclusion criteria. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire consist of 25 questions which has tested validity and reliability. Data analysis methods used were univariate and bivariate with Chi-Square test.The experimental result showed that there is a relationship between family activity and level of independence in treating the patient with type 2 DM, with the value of p-value=0,002. According to the result, the family is expected to further improve family activity that affects the level of independence in caring for patients with type 2 DM.. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research was to describe behavior working mother’s exclusive breastfeeding behavior. The design of this research was  descriptive and conducted on working mother’s in Puskesmas Melur working area. 62 who were taken by using purposive sampling techniques. Measuring instrument used were questionnaires that have been tested for validity and realibility. Analysis was used univariate in the form of a frequency distribution. The results showed majorly exclusive breastfeeding behavior in working mother’s a less level (56,5%). The results of this research was recommend to every health care to giving health promotion about behavior on breastfeeding in working mother’s. Abstract

Abstract The motivation of nurses is influenced by internal and external factors that affect the implementation of the oral medication obeyed in Utama  Room of Arifin Achmad Public Hospital Pekanbaru. Job Motivation is a boost of encouragement from the nurse consist of (a sense of awareness, sense of responsibility, work interests, loyalty, discipline) and encouragement from the outside (the recognition of others, opportunities for advancement, promotion and career opportunities, a sense of security in the work, remuneration appropriate and lack of monitoring of others) that directs the actions and behavior of nurses to achieve its objectives. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of work motivation nurse with oral medication obeyed.  Design research was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The total sample of 46 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Measuring tools such as questionnaires and observation sheets. Results of univariate analysis obtained entirely of women (100%) mostly educated D3 with employment status largely honorary workers (76.1%), long work over 4 years (43.5%). While the bivariate analysis results obtained ρ value 0.004 < (α = 0.05) using the chi square test, the conclusion there is a significant relationship between motivation nurse with compliance implementation oral medication obeyed. Suggested for hospital nurses supervise compliance and further increase the motivation of nurses and provide reword and punishment to those who do not run the SOP. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to identity the relationship of smoking behavior and academic achievement of nursing students in University of Riau. This research used a descriptive correlative design. This research was conducted on 60 male students in school of nursing University of Riau by using total sampling technique. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with one-way Anova test. The results showed that there is a relationship between smoking behavior and academic achievement of nursing students in University of Riau with p value of 0.042, where p value < α (p value < 0,05). It is recommended for student not to smoke because smoking behavior has negative impact to physical health and cognitive function. Moreover, it can affect the health of the people around. Keywords: smoking behavior, academic achievement

Abstract

Abstract The dysmenorrhea exercise is an activities that can used for reducing of pain.  The aim of this research was to determinedthe effectiveness of dysmenorrhea exercise for recucing primary menstrual pain of adolescents. The design of this research is posttest only control group design. The groups were divided into experiment group and control group. The sample in the research is student of VIII class SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. The total sample were 30 people who were taken by using purposive sampling techniques by noticing to the inclusion criteria. Measuring instruments that used in both groups are numeric rating scale for menstrual pain. Analysis used forunivariate distribution of age and menarche.The bivariateanalyzesused Mann Whitney test. The statistic test show the difference of experiment and control group with p-value 0,016 < α (0,05). It means that dysmenorrhea exercise was effectivefor reducing the primary menstrual pain. The result of this research is expected to be an alternative to reducing the pain of primary menstrual. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to know the relationship of nurses knowledge about universal precaution with universal precautions application in infusion action. This research used descriptive correlation methods with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at RSUD Indrasari Rengat with 85 respondents. This research used total sampling technique. Measuring instrument of this research used questionnaire and observation sheet. The analysis used univariate and bivariate are using chi-square test. The results showed that there is the relationship of nurses knowledge about universal precaution with universal precautions application in vein insertion with p value 0,011. The results of this research recommends to the hospital to promote the importance of the application of universal precautions methods in nursing care to minimize the risk of infection in hospital Keywords: knowledge, nurses, universal precautions application, vein insertion.

Abstract

Abstract DiabetesMellitus(DM) is a group of diseasescharacterizedbyhyperglycemiaresulting fromdefectsin insulin secretion, insulin actionor both. One of thecomplications ofdiabetes isperipheral neuropathyin the form ofulcers that influence of quality of life patient's. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship of diabetic ulcers stage with quality of life in patients with type 2 of diabetes mellitus. This research using with descriptive correlation and design using with crosssectional approach. The research was conducted at the RSUD Petala Bumi Pekanbaru on 30 respondents diabetic ulcers using accidental sampling technique with inclusion criteria. The descriptive analyzed was Kolmogorov-Smirnov. The results showed p <0,05 which means there is a relationship between diabetic ulcer stage with quality of life in patients from type 2 of diabetes mellitus with p value = 0.000. This research is expected to be a guide in improving the quality of life of diabetic patients with diabetic ulcers. Keywords: DM, diabetic ulcers, quality of life

The results showed thatthe majority ofrespondentsperceiveCHDsevere disease(83.3%), CHDdoes notrequireimmediate management(53.3%), cardiac catheterizationsurgerywithsurgery(66.7%), cardiac catheterizationactions thatrequirelongtreatment(63.3% ), cardiac catheterizationmildactionthatdoes nothave afatalrisk(63.3%), cardiac catheterizationis anact ofminimalrisk(66.7%), cardiac catheterizationtreatment measuresin total(60%), prior tocardiac catheterizationneed tochangelifestyle(56.7%),andcardiaccatheterizationactionwas an actionthat wasnotrepetitive(67%). Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to determine the characteristics of people with the high risk of HIV and AIDS on VCT service program. This research method was a quantitative description of the cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in Puskesmas Simpang Tiga. The sampling method was stratified sampling of respondents 84 people. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used was a univariate analysis. The results showed that most respondents have good knowledge (53.6%), a positive perception (54.8%), a positive attitude (56%), and low motivation (59.5%) on HIV/AIDS and VCT service programs. The results of this research are expected to workers public of health, LKB cadres, and non government organization  to increase the motivation to people with high risk of HIV and AIDS on VCT service programs to increase visiting on VCT services. Measuring instrument usedaquestionnairethathas beentested for validityandreliability.The analysis usedunivariateandbivariateanalysis usingChiSquaretest. The results showed thatthere was nocorrelationbetweenknowledgeof respondentsandself-caredeficitwith asignificance levelof 0.05was obtainedp>0.05 is0.923. For motivational factor, it was found that there was nosignificant relationshipbetween thelevelof motivationandthe level ofself-caredeficitwithsignificance levelof 0.05withp>0.05 is1.000. The results ofthis studyit was expected tonursing staffinhospitalsto improve the patient’s psychomotor abilitytoperform well self-care.
