Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of health education on the number of elderly visit to the elderly health center in Puskesmas Sekijang. This study used quasi-experimental methods with pre and post-test without control (self-control) approach. This research was conducted at Sekijang health center with 33 respondents. This research used accidental sampling technique. This study used an observation sheet to measure the elderly visit. The analysis used univariate and bivariate using Wilcoxon test. The results showed that  health education was effective to increase the number of elderly visit to the elderly health center with p value 0,018.It isrecommend forhealth workers forprovidehealth education aboutelderly health centre to ederly usingaudiovisualmedia so thatthe knowledgeandmotivation of elderlyto visitsthe elderlyhealth centre can beincreased.   Keywords: elderly visits, health education, elderly health centre

Abstract

Abstract Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the most common medical problem in the world. The purpose of this descriptive correlational research on Type II Diabetic patients was to determine the relationship of knowledge, perception and effectiveness in the use of insulin therapy. This research was conducted in Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital of  Pekanbaru. Involving 78 respondents. The sampling method is purposive sample. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate. The results revealed that perception (p value = 0.000) and the effective use of insulin therapy (p value = 0.000) for patients with Type II DM compliance in the administration of insulin injection but there is no correlation between knowledge (p value = 0.211) in the delivery of insulin injection. Nurse is able to do many things in order to control the effectiveness the use of insulin on Type II DM. . Abstract

Abstract This aimsof this research is to determine the factors that influence of the incidence of premarital sex among female adolescents. Methodology on this research was a descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The sample in this research are 118female adolescents in Senior High School 1 South North Pagai Mentawai Islands with stratified sampling technique.Measuring instrumentwas useda questionnaire. The analysis was usedunivariateandbivariateanalysisbyChi-squared test.The results showedthat effect ofpressurefromfriendswith p-value0.025andpovertyinfluence onpremaritalsexwith ap-value<0.05, namely 0.002, while the influenceof pressurefromboyfriends, parental attitudes, shiftingcultural, moralandethicalas well asknowledgehas no effect onpremaritalsex. This studysuggeststo theSenior High School 1 SouthNorthPagaiMentawai islandstogiveeducationandinformationonreproductivehealthandsexualityeducation. so expecta teenagerto knowthe effectsof premarital sexandraise awareness of theinfluence offree associationin public life. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to identify the reationship between cadre performance of elderly posyandu and elder motivation to visit Elderly Posyandu. Research method used in this research is corellation descriptive with cross sectional design. This research was conducted in the Technical Implementing Service Mangement Department (UPTD) health clinic of Koto Baru, Singingi district Kuantan Singing Regency. Sampling method used in this research was proposive sampling. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire which has tested validity and reliability. Analysis methods used were univariate and bivariate with Chi-Square test. The result of Chi-Square test was, p value = 0.209, showed that p value > α 0.05, therefore it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, so then the researcher can summed up that there is no relationship between cadre performance of elderly posyandu and elder motivation to visit elderly posyandu. The result of this research is expected that it can be an input to any relevant institutions, particularly The UPTD health clinic of Koto Baru to plan programmes to raise awareness on the urgency of elderly posyandu for elders as health services to undertake health examination, such as mental status, nutrition satus, and physical health on a regular basis, so then it can be detected early in case of there is health problem.   Key words : Cadre Performance of Elderly Posyandu, Elder Motivation

Abstract

Abstract   Pulmonary tuberculosis (PT) is one of between two diseases (tuberculosis extrapulmonary) which includes 80% of the overall disease events PT. Control efforts TB nationally by implement strategies DOTS. DOTS strategy recommended WHO globally because result in the case finding and successful of high treatment.The purpose of this study was to determine the factors influence successful treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Harapan Raya 2013. The research is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The number of sample were 43 respondents taken by total sampling with data collected tool was patientsregisters TB data retrieval using with retrospective. The data collection was analyzed by univariate and bivariate using with Fisher's Exact test. The univariat results showed that the agesofmajority respondents was age of productive (83,7%), male (69,8%), compliance of treatment (69,8%), smear-negative for tuberculosis (76,7%) and used drug of cathegory I (95,3%). The bivariate analyzed showed that significant relationship between compliance level and smear-negative for tuberculosisand age with type of treatment (ρ value 0,000 < 0,05 and ρ value 0,023 < 0,05). The results showed there was not significant relationship between age and smear-negative for tuberculosis, sex and smear-negative for tuberculosis, sex and type of treatment, and compliance level with type of treatment (ρ value 0,656 > 0,05, ρ value 0,237 > 0,05, ρ value 0,086 > 0,05, dan ρ value 1,000 > 0,05). Based on results of this study, it is suggest to people who have awareness, willingness, and ability to improve the knowledge and compliance in completing treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.   Keyword: age, level of compliance, pulmonary tuberculosis, sex,smear for tuberculosismicroscopic examination after treatment, type of treatment

Abstract

Abstract This study aim to assesthe relationship of nutritional status with the incidence of anemia among irl adoleccent in SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. This studi used a descriptive research design with cross sectional method. This study conducted on 86 middle girl adolescent in SMAN 8 Pekenbaru using purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument used in the weight scales, height measurement and hemoglobin multi function monitoring system. The analysis in univariate and bivariate analysis with fisher test. The result showed that there was no relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girl with a significance level of 0.05 was obtained p value < 0.512. It is suggested to the school of to do monitoring the Hb level among student in the school. Keyword: Anemia, young women, nutritional status.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to identify the correlation between knowledge and habit of consuming fast food with nutrition status in teenage. This research used a cross sectional design. The sample was 83 teenage were taken by using technique of proportionate stratified random sampling. The measuring instrument used was questionnaire as its measure system which was designed by the researcher herself and has been proven by using validity and reliability tests. The analyses of this research were univariate and biavariate analysis by using Chi Square test. The result showed knowledge on nutrition status was obtained p value > alpha (ρ0,80>α 0,05), so it was got no significant correlation between fast food and nutrition status in teenage. Type of the most frequently consumed fast food was non-traditional fast food (55,4%), there was no significant relation between. The frequency of fast food consumption and nutrition status in teenage (ρ0,347>α 0,05). Frequency of eating fast food are in the category of frequent (55,4%), there was a significant association between the frequency of fast food consumption and nutrition status in teenage p value < alpha (ρ0,029<α 0,05). Based on this research, researcher suggested that teenage had a better concern and able to choose food that is safe for consumption. Keyword: fast food, habits, knowledge, teens

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure at the point of the pericardium 6 to decrease the frequency of vomiting in patients with dyspepsia. This research design was Quasy Experiment with "Non - Equivalent Control Group." Total sample were 30 people, 15 of the respondents were the experimental group and 15 respondents a control group using a sampling technique by simple random sampling with regard inclusion criteria. Measuring instrument used the observation sheet. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. The Mann Whitney test showed no significant difference between the frequency of vomiting after acupressure given in the experimental group and the control group was obtained p value = 0.08 (p value> 0.05). While based analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed the influence of a decrease in the frequency of vomiting with p value = 0.004 (p value <0.05). Based on the results of this study, we researchers expected to provide information to develop further research about the other benefits of acupressure at the point pericardium 6 on health with more samples. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on insomnia in patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).This research desain was a quasi-experimental design with the equivalent control group design approach. The study was conducted at the General Hospital Arifin Achmad to 30 samples 15  for the experimental group and 15 for control group using purposive sampling technique with regard to inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with dependent and independent t-test.The results showed that  progressive muscle  relaxation technique took effect to insomnia with p value = 0.000. The study recommends health workers to teach  progressive muscle relaxation techniques to reduce insomnia in patients with CHF.   Keywords: Congestive heart failure, insomnia, relaxation techniques.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research to identify the relationship of family support with anxiety level of chemotherapy patients in Anyelir Ward General Hospital Arifin Achmad Riau Province. This research is descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The samples taken from patients with cancer who followed chemotherapy in Anyelir Ward GeneralHospitalArifin Achmad Riau Province with 39 respondents through purposive sampling technique. The data taken by questionnaire that already tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used univariate and bivariate with chi-square test. The results showed p value was 0,022 (p value < 0,05), which means there is a relationship between family support with the anxiety level of chemotherapy patients. The results recommend to health workers to improve the psychosocial nursing care and remind family the importance of family support to minimize the anxiety on chemotherapy patients.
