Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine The Correlation level of knowledge about disease DM patient and diet with dietary adherence in DM run. This study used a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Petala Bumi hospital with 33 respondents. The sampling method used is accidental sampling. Measuring instruments used in this study is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis that was used is univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. Result of this research has shown that from 15 respondent (45,5% of total sampel) with low level of knowledge and has not obedient are 10 respondents (71,4%), while from 18 respondents with hight level of knowledge  with degrees of significance 0,05 obtained the pv (0,027) < α (0,05) and OR point 7,000. It means that there is correlation between patients level of knowledge about the disease and meal planning with diabetes mellitus diet adherence with 7,000 greater obedient from hight level of knowledge. The results of this study can recommend the nurse to be active in providing health education programs (health education) related increase patients' knowledge about the disease and diet compliance in carrying diet Diabetes Mellitus. Abstract

  Abstract This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of aroma therapy lavender flowers (Lavandula angustifolia) to decrease pain scale client myocardial infarction. Design of the study was Quasi- Experimental with Pre test and post test desain with control group were divided into experimental group and control group. The study was conducted on clients who have pain with nursing diagnosis of myocardial infarction in the Cardiovascular Care Unit ( CVCU ) Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru hospital. The number of samples were 30 people, consist of 15 in the experimental group and 15 control group by purposive sampling with the inclusion criteria. Measuring instrument used the observation sheet Descriptive Pain Scale (Descriptive Verbal Scale). The experimental group was given treatment with lavender aroma therapy by inhalation. The analysis used univariate and bivariate with Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant difference intensity scale pain scores between the experimental group and the control group with p value 0.009 (p value <0.05), which means aromatherapy lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is effective in reducing pain intensity scale on the client myocardial infarction. Researchers suggest that administration of lavender aroma therapy can be applied to clients with experience pain myocardial infarction in hospitals and in the community. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between gender and domicile with growth of children with Thalassemia. This study used correlation method with cross sectional approach. Total sampling method was used to recruit 44 respondents in Thalassemia Center atArifin Achmad General Hospital. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate.Chi Square test showed that most of respondents (72.3%) were in school age (6-12 years old), 54.5% are male, 73.7% are primary school students, 54.5% domiciled in Pekanbaru, 52.2% had lenght of thalassemia diagnose 1 until 5 years, and 65.9% in normal growth category. There were no correlation between gender (p value=0.400) and domicile (p value=0.400) with growth of children with Thalassemia. Based on this result, it is recommended for hospital to make some policies related to gender and domicile for children with thalassemia. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to know the relationship between personal hygiene and environmental sanitation with incident of scabies of Al-Kautsar boarding school in Pekanbaru. The methodology on this research was a descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. There are 100 participants collected by using proportionate stratified random sampling. Measuring instrument used was aquestionnairesheet consisting of personal hygiene and environmental sanitation also an observation sheet consisting of signs of scabies. In this research, we use bivariat analysis with chi square test. Basic on statistical result, p value= 0.781 (p value > 0.05) it’s did not show relationship between personal hygiene with incident of scabies, and also statistical result p value=0.306 (p value > 0.05) it’s did not show relationship between environmental sanitation with incident of scabies. This research suggest to Al-Kautsar boarding school to maintain good personal hygiene and environmental sanitation so thatstudentsavoidscabies. Abstract

Abstract This research is about the relationship of parent’s knowledge about sexual health of children 7-12 years with the attitudes of parent’s in prevention of sexual abuse was conducted in 5 public elementary school in Sukajadi District Pekanbaru with 369 parent’s as respondents. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of parent’s knowledge about sexual health of children 7-12 years with the attitudes of parent’s in prevention of sexual abuse. This research was descriptive correlation research with cross sectional approach. The samples were taken used cluster sampling technique. The data taken by questionnaire that has been composed by researcher that already tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used chi-square test. The results showed a relationship between parent’s knowledge about sexual health of children 7-12 years with  the attitudes of parent’s in prevention of sexual abuse (p value 0,043 < α 0,05). This research recommends to health workers to keep conduct health promotion for increase parent’s knowledge about sexual health to prevent child sexual abuse. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify the influence discharge planning study performed by nurses among pulmonary TB patient's The method is quasi-experimental design, the equivalent control group design approach. The research was conducted in Medical General Hospital Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru involving 15 respondents. The sampling method is purposive sample. The data was colled by using a guestommaire who have been make by health departement systematic republic Indonesia. The analysis used univariate and bivariate is the dependent t test. The result showed that there is very significantly the effect of discharge planning for readiness home care among pulmonary TB Patients (p value= 0,000). The results of this study recommend the discharge planning can provide a regularly and proper conduct discharge of patients with pulmonary TB to avoid the drop out when the drop out drugs and hospital again in RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know behavioral factors that influence whiteness in women teenagers. The method of the research used correlation description with cross sectional approach.The research has done at 82 respondents in SMA Negeri 1 Rumbio Jaya using total sampling technique. The assessment thatusedquisioners.The analyze thatusedbivariat analyze using Chi Square test. The result of the research shows that there is no correlation between women teenagers knowledge and attitude level towards whiteness and for responds got p value =0,041 where p value < 0,05, it can be concluded that there is correlation between respondents respond towards whiteness.This research result is hoped can be seen for women teenagers to more be attention the problem health that happened in them especially about whiteness. Abstract

  Abstract The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of health education of cardiac rehabilitation exercise to knowledge and ability of early mobilization in patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). This study used pra-experimental methods with pre and post-test without control. This research was conducted at Flamboyan ward Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru with 30 respondents.This research used purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument of this research used questionnaire and observation sheet. The analysis used univariate and bivariate with using wilcoxon test. The results showed the effect of health education of cardiac rehabilitation exercise to knowledge with ρ value 0,004 and ability of early mobilization in patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) with ρ value 0,000. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of study was to identify the correlation between the family support and quality of  life of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Arifin Achmad general hospital Pekanbaru. This study was description correlation with cross sectional approach. Sampling technique in this study was total sampling with 105 respondents. Instruments used were questionnaires which were tested the validity and reliability. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. The result showed that pvalue = 0.002, it could be concluded that there was a relationship between family support and quality of life of CRF patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Arifin Achmad general hospital Pekanbaru. Families who have family member undergoing hemodialysis therapy are expected  to always give both moral and material support, so that the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis CRF can be maintained. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this researchwas to identify the effect of essential oil rose aromatherapy to decrease pain of the patient’s cancer stage II. This research was quasyexperiment method by used pretest and posttestdesigns with control group. It was conducted in Awal Bros Hospital and Islamic of Ibnu Sina HospitalPekanbaruwith 30 respondents, 15 peoples in the experimental group and 15 others in control group with purposivesampling technique. This reserach instrument used by observation sheet.It used univariate and bivariate analysis that Wilcoxon and M­annWhitneytest.The results showed that there was significant difference between pain after given of essentialoilrose for experimental group and not given for control group (p value 0,000 < α 0,05). This research  wasrecommended of healthy institution for applicated as one of non farmachology therapy to decrease pain especially for patient’s cancer stage II. Keywords: Aromatheraphy, essential oil rose, the cancer patients stage II
