Abstract

ABSTRACKResearch on consumer perception of fish water at morning markets Panam city of Pekanbaru had been done in february to april 2018 in morning markets Panam city of Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research to know consumer perception of fish water based characteristics and consumer behaviour in identifying the attributes of fish water. The data collection had done by observation, interviews and recording then data measured using a likert scale and descriptive analysis. The attribute of the fish water in the morning market at Panam its very good. It is seen at the price, offered, The convenience of consumers, and the distance that must be taken by the consumers. Is not to far away. The quality of the fish marketed is in accordance with the wishes of the costumers. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study attempts to evaluate the objectives of the fishermen wife empowerment program and household income of fish chip crackers in Bukit Batu Village, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The result of the research shows that the implementation of fishermen wife empowerment program is good, it can be seen from the condition of fish cracker processing business which has changed after the establishment of program by Marine Fisheries Department, among others: 1) the existence of business capacity improvement, 2) the improvement of business quality, 3) and the institutional strengthening that occurs in fish cracker processing business.In addition, the fishermen fishermen empowerment program also affects the income of fishermen households who participate in the empowerment of fishermen fish cracker empowerment program, on household income shown in 2017 household income outside fishing fish cracker business processing amounting to IDR. 135.600.000. and fish cracker business income revenues increased revenue amounted to IDR.59.510.400. resulting in the addition of household income of fishermen amounting to IDR.195.110.400. in 2017.And the contribution of fishermen's wife's income was 44% of the income received by fishermen's households processing fish crackers in Bukit Batu Village, Bengkalis Regency in 2017 Keyword: empowerment, fishermen’s wife, processing, income

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe fishing gear used by Tiku V Jorong fisherman is gill nets, the use of gill nets by fisherman even reaches the age of use for more than 15 years. Because of this, research was to knowing the changes that occurred after using gill nets after several years. The research was conducted in April 2018 which was held in Nagari Tiku V Jorong, Tanjung Mutiara Subdistrict, Agam Regency, west sumatera. The goal of the research to determine the technical age of using gill nets and to see changes in the physical properties of net gills such as changes in mesh size, elongation and decreasing breaking load after several years of use. The method used in this study is a survey method that is data collection and materials in the research location and method of measurement experiments in the laboratory of the Department of Fisheries Resource Utilization, Riau University. The results of this study indicate that the age of using a net results in a decrease in diameter of yarn mesh, breaking load and elongation with the equation YD (Yarn diameter) = -0.0005t + 0.1840, BL (Breaking Load) = -0.0008t + 0.1889 and ME (Mesh Elongation) = -0.0316t + 10.6161 while the mesh size has increased with the length of life with the equation MZ (Mesh Zise) = 0.0252t + 44.4602 and from the data that has been analyzed the technical age of the gill net is 10 years. Keywords : gill net, mesh size, physical properties, technical age, usage age

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in April 2018 in Buluh Island, Bulang District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. This study aims to determine the profile and activeness of KUB on Buluh Island. In addition, this study also aims to determine the performance of the Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) by looking at several aspects, namely the Institutional Aspects, Economic Aspects and Environmental Aspects of Buluh Island. With 34 respondents, namely the chairman, secretary and group members.The results of this study indicate that all Joint Business Groups are always actively participating in carrying out the big day activities in Buluh Island by distributing KUB members to take part in the implementation of activities in Buluh Island, one of the activities carried out in Buluh Island is compensation orphans, Republic of Indonesia Anniversary, religious activities (such as Isra Mi'raj celebrations), coastal reforestation and participating in trainings held by extension workers (such as BIMTEK). In general, the performance of the Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) can be categorized both at the level of KUB members and the community and can be seen from community participation so that the institutionalization of the Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) activities in Buluh Island, Bulang District, Batam Island Province. Keywords: Performance, Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama), Fisherman Community.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEpilithicdiatom are one of the diatom that can withstand waves and currents, attached to hard substrates or rocks. This research was conducted from March 2018 - April 2018 located in Buo Bay Area, Padang,West Sumatra. Thegoal of this research are to determine the water quality and the structure community of epilithic diatom in Buo Bay Area, Padang, West Sumatra. The survey method was appllied in this research, sampling location were set up purposively which divided into 3 stations. Water quality measurements are carried in each station which consists of physical parameters specifically temperature, current velocity, brightness and chemical parameters consists of salinity, dissolved oxygen, acidity. Based on water quality measurement at buo baycan support the growth of epilithic diatom organism. The result showed that there were 15 genus of epilithic diatom in buo bay padang. The highest average abundance of epilithic diatoms is in station 2 was 3340.22 individual/cm2 and lowest section  is in station 3 with the average of abundance value was 2741.97 individual/cm2. Key Word: Water Quality, Community Structure, Abundance, Epilitic Diatom

Abstract

ABSTRACT    This research is about the analysis of Tenggiri fish cracker (Emy Atom Cracker) business, aims to find out the acceptance, profit and analyze business feasibility by using business profitability. This research was conducted in April 2018 in Malang Village Meeting of Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The research method uses a case study method, the respondents taken in this study are Emy Atom Cracker business owners. The results of this study show a total investment of IDR.265,119,200, the total production cost of IDR.44,853,120, with a fixed cost of IDR.1.439.920 and a percentage of income of 3,2% and a fixed cost of IDR.43,413,200 and the percentage of income of 96,7% profit of 1 month emy atom cracker business of IDR.34,446,900.               Analysis of Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR) business profitability in Emy Atom Cracker business of 1,7 in accordance with RCR Criteria shows that the Emy Atom Cracker business is feasible to be developed, Payback Period Of Capital (PPC) in Emy Atom Cracker business is 7,6 which means it takes time for 7 year 6 month for the return of investment by Emy Atom Cracker entrepreneurs, the Profit to Investment Ratio (ROI) in the Emy Atom Cracker business of 13% as with the ROI criteria which means this effort is successful to be developed. Keywords: Crackers, Mackerel Fish, Business Analysis

Abstract

The objective of the study was to obtain the chemical compositions and amino acids of male and female mudskipper (Periophthalmus sp). This study using the comparative experimental with  T-test consists of two treatments that was male and female mudskipper. The data was obtained presented in table form, analyzed descriptively and statistically with average standar deviation of the variables T1 and T2. The chemical characteristics of male and female mudskipper meat of water, ash, fat, protein, carbohydrate were 81.92, 80.00%; 10.21, 12.21%, 2.00, 2.04%; 86.68, 84.774%; 1.13, 1.01% (DW), respectively. Amino acids content on male and female mudskipper were 48.31, 42.88% (WW), respectively. The sex of fish has a significantly affect on the value of water, ash, fat, protein and amino acids content.

Abstract

ABSTRACT            Research was carried out on the 13 April to 22 May 2018 in the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The purpose of this study to determine the amount of molase for the growth of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) the biofloc. The research method which is using method of random (RAL) by a factor which consists of four stages of treatment used the C 10 (Molase 21 g), C 15 (Molase 35 g), C 20 (molase 48 g) and C 25 (molase 62 g). For the next 40 days the maintenance of the best in the provision of molase 62 g in the growth of seeds is absolute of 6,38 g, the length of the absolute 6,62 cm, the growth rate of specific 4,56%, efficient feed of 95,43%, survival rate  to 51,11% and volume floc 8,57 ml/l. And the quality of water for research which is the temperature 26-29,20C, pH 7,1-7,4, dissolved oxygen 3,63-6,63 ppm and ammonia 0,003-0,033. Keyword :Clarias gariepinus, Biofloc, Molase

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was aimed to determine of chemical compositions, yield, the best of acid solvent extraction, and mineral content of skin meat of sea cucumber (Holothuria atra). The method used in this study was an experimental method which extracting of skin meat of sea cucumber with 8% concentrations of different acid solvents using non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatment levels: HCl (P1), HNO3 (P2), and H2SO4 (P3). The parameters tested in this study were moisture, protein, fat, ash, carbohydrate, yield and mineral content of calcium, potassium, sodium, and iron using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed that the chemical compositions of skin meat of sea cucumber were  10.05% (WW) moisture, 53.16% protein (DW), 3.64% fat (DW), 32.85% (DW) ash, carbohydrate content 10.35% (DW) by difference, and the yield of flour in skin meat sea cucumber was 20.79%. The use of different acid solvents have a very significant affect on mineral content, wherein the best acid solvent was HCl (P1) which contained 7.53% calcium, 2.87% potassium, 0.93% sodium, and 1.79% iron. Keywords: Mineral, Holothuria atra, acid, solvent

Abstract

ABSTRACT               This research was conducted from April to June 2018 for 42 days at the TIU Improvement (Technical Implementation Unit) Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Riau University. The purpose of this study is to in vestigatedifferent form of container with recirculation systems. Water treatment from tarpaulin with a capacity of 80 L in air volume. Fish stock was 20 fish/tank. The research method was the experimental method with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatments was : P1= Circle Shape, P2 = Square Shape, P3= Leg Length and P4= Triangle Shape. The results of this study can be concluded that the different forms of container are not significant to the growth of red tilapia, but the forms of containers are significantly different for the survival of red tilapia. Growth performance of round shape, square shape, rectangular shape and triangle shape, each of which has given weight growth 9.12 g; 10.04 g; 8.95 g; and 8.49 g, then the growth of a double length of 4.30 cm; 4.56 cm; 4.13 cm; and 4.03 cm, daily growth rate of 4.29%, 4.67%, 4.43% and 4.34, feed feed 82,04%, 91,47%, 83,61% and 79,66%, and the rate of life is 85.00%, 96.66%, 90.00% and 85.00%. The measurement results of water quality are still in the optimal range in the maintenance of red tilapia, namely temperatures of 26-29.3 ° C, pH 6.3-6.8, DO 4.5-6.1 mg / L, and ammonia 0.26- 0.17 mg / L.Keywords : Oreochromis sp, recirculation system, different shape of tank survival rate
