Abstract

This research was conducted on 25th May until 7th June 2012. This study aims todescribe the general business management, total investment, profits, profitability, and returnsthe length of venture capital invested in the Ricky fishing pond. The method used in this studyis a case study method with four respondents.The results of this study indicate that the total investment by the business owner Rickyfihing pond of Rp 713.039.000. Gains derived of Rp 100.271,500. BCR of 1,21. Abstract

This research was conducted on 28 July to 14 August 2013 in the PerhentianLuas Village, Logas Tanah Darat District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province.This research purposed to investigate the characteristics of fish farmers, knew theattitude of farmers towards government assistance, knew the relationship betweencharacteristics of multiple variables with farmers attitude towards governmentassistance. This research used survey method. Respondents in this research was fishfarmers who received government assistance.Results of farmers attitudes toward government aid analysis was mostly good,namely 64.29%. Farmers attitude towards farming activities also showed a goodattitude at 50.00%. Results of farmers attitude analysis with some characteristicsvariables obtained after correlated have known that the relationship between age didnot correlate perfectly to the assistance with rs 0.062 its smaller than the value of P(0.832). While on production value greater than (0.344) P (0.228) mean age hadeffect on tilapia farming activities. Education was not perfectly correlated to the aidand on production with a value of 0.125 Spearman rank correlation value less than P(0.670) and the value of correlation Spearman Rank. While income was not perfectlycorrelated to aid with rs 0.212, less than P value (0.466), as well as on aquacultureactivities, it’s smalleer than P (0.744) that’s mean income didn’t have effect onaquaculture.Kata Kunci : Attitude, Government assistance, Aquaculture.

Abstract

This research was conducted from April 29th until May 6th 2013 in theDistrict of North Padangsidimpuan Padangsidimpuan City of North SumatraProvince. The purpose of the research was to describe and analyze thecharacteristics of consumer demand for fresh fish as well as determine how themagnitude of the factors that influence household consumer demand for fresh fishin the North Padangsidimpuan District.Basically the level of consumer demand for a product is determined byseveral factors. On fresh fish products, the factors that affect the price of freshfish such as itself, the price of substitutes (chicken meat), income, dependents, andconsumer taste. The results showed that the dominant gender consumers arewomen with ages ranging from 41-50 years, the majority of formal education ishigh school, and her work as a housewife. Based grouping of income, the majorityof consumers belonged to the upper middle class. Consumer demand for fresh fishis influenced by economic and non-economic factors. The most influential factoris the price of chicken meat was 2.068 (highly significant), whereas the otherfactors do not affect the demand significant fresh sea fish.Keywords : Demand Analysis, household consumers, Fresh sea fish

Abstract

This research was conducted on 17th until 24th June 2013 in the GulfKepenghuluan Hulu Island Wilderness Crossing District of Rokan Hilir RiauProvince. The purpose of this study was to: Describe and analyze the relationshipbetween the fishermen form the employer and Analyze advantages anddisadvantages of fishermen and a relationship with the employer when theemployer in the Upper Subdistrict Kepenghuluan Jungle Island Bay Crossing.Further analyzed in the form of descriptions using descriptive analysis reveals aproblem, situation or event as it is.Pattern of relationships with the employer fishermen in the GulfKepenghuluan Hulu Island interwoven harmoniously without harming next party,because the two are mutually beneficial. Pattern of the relationship is not only thepattern of labor relations, but also the pattern of social relations, patterns ofemotional relationships and patterns of cultural relations. A relationship can notbe separated from the profits and losses incurred by fishermen and employer.Fishermen advantages was financial insurance by loan from employer. Employeradvantages was fish stock by fishermen catch. Disadvantages of this relationshipwas fishermen’s interdepedence to employer. Because of close relationship bothof them, fishermen was not be able to affect sale price of that fish. On the otherhand, employer got worst quality of fishermen’s catch when the catch wasabundant and loss of cost when was little catch.Keyword : Fisherment, Employer, Teluk Pulau Hulu, Patron Client Fisheries

Abstract

This study was conducted on March 10th until March 20th, 2013. This study aims to determine the public perception about the use of the Siak River fishermen. The method used in this study is a survey method and determination of the respondents in this study is "Simple Random Sampling" by 24 respondents.The results of this research is the public perception of the use value of the Siak River and at the same level of perception, seen from the value of the public perception of the use of the Siak River 18 respondents (75%) stated that the Siak River is not safe to be used for the needs of fishing communities, at the same level of perception is in the category of less secure in the range of 1040-1455 which means the Siak River water can only be used for Industry, Fisheries, Transportation, Agriculture and Settlement.Keyword: the perception of the fishing community, the use of the Siak River

Abstract

This studywas conducted inDecember 2012inthe village Pisang Berebusdistricts ofGunung Toar RegencyKuantanSingingiRiauProvince. The method usedin this studyisasurveymethod. Respondentconductedthe census. Respondentsin thestudywerefarmers,Oreochromis andPangasius sp, amounting to 15people.The purposeof this study were1) Knowingthe roleof leadershipinfarmers'groupfishfarming inthe villagePisang Berebus, 2) Knowingthe function ofleadershipgroupsoffish in the village Pisang Berebus.The resultsoftheseresearchesshow thatthe roleandfunction ofleadership offarmer groupsBatang Bunai in the village Pisang Berebus using thefrequenciesinquestionareexpressedqualitatively ieVeryGood,Good,less Good, No Good, Very NotGood.Furthermathematicalcalculationshowed that theleadershiproleof fishfarmer groups in the villagePisang Berebus areinthe category of "Good"thoughtful, responsible, andfairwith a totalof399scores, andthe function ofleadershipis inthe category of "Good"canguide themembersofthe groupina business carried onwith a totalscore1204. Decreased production offishinthevillage ofPisangBerebuswere not causedby a decrease inLeadershipRolesand Functions ofthegroupbutbecause of the highproduction costsof fishfarming.Keyword :Role, function, leader,farmer groups

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the condition of african catfishbreeding in tarpaulin pool at hangtuah village and the development possibilities inthe future discussed on the financial side, and also to know the proper level ofAfrican catfish breeding effort at hangtuah village.The applied method in this research was survey method. Respondents inthis research is farmers who do breeding the African catfish in tarpaulin pool athangtuah village, where the populations is 330 people and the number ofrespondents who where taken as much as 5% of the total populations of thefarmers as many as 16 respondents. Taking as much as 5% of respondents dobecause the majority of populations at hangtuah village have the same job(homogen).The average of stated financial used by the farmers at hangtuah villagewas Rp. 4.239.375,00 per month. The average of total cost used was Rp.2.450.895,00 per month. The profit range got by the farmers was Rp.1.788.479,6,00 per month. BCR values were 1,84 for this fish breeding. It meantthat this breeding effort deserve to be continued cause the BCR values >1,meanwhile the PPC values range at 5,02.Keyword: African catfish, tarpaulin pool, hangtuah village

Abstract

The research was conducted in July 2014. This study aims to examine the factors that affect the group dynamics of each group of fish farmers and to determine the level of group dynamics in each group fish farmer. The method used in this study is a survey method with each group of respondents 10 respondents.The level of group dynamics in the Maju Bersama group is in the dynamic category with a score of 660 while the category Rezky Air group less dynamic with a score of 439. The results of this study indicate that factors the differences between the Maju Bersama groups and the Rizki Air group is the most important group goals. At the destination factor Maju Bersama group members and administrators want to jointly build a better business by way of aligning the price of fish production as well as a desire to grow their business. On Rezky Air group has a goal to get government assistance.Keyword: Group of farmers, less dynamic, dynamic score

Abstract

This research was conducted on June to August 2014 in the Laboratory of Parasitesand Diseases of Fisheris and Marine Science of Faculty Riau University Pekanbaru. Thepurpose of this research was to determine the structure of (Mystus nemurus) liver that werefed with feed added with Psidium guajava and Andrographis paniculata Ness. The methodused is an experimental using 3 treatments with 3 replicated. The treatment used in thisresearch was Kn (Fishes were not receive any treantent), Kp (Fishes were not receive anytreatment but were infected with A. hydrophila), P1 ( Fishes were fed with feed added with10 g of Psidium guajava and 10 g of Andrographis paniculata Ness and were infected withA. hydrophila (0.1 ml of 108 of A. hydrophila culture), P2 (Fishes were fed with feed addedwith 20 g of Psidium guajava and 20 g of Andrographis paniculata Ness and were infectedwith A. hydrophila (0.1 ml of 108 of A. hydrophila culture), P3 (Fishes were fed with feedadded with 30 g of Psidium guajava and 30 g of Andrographis paniculata Ness and wereinfected with A. hydrophila (0.1 ml of 108 of A. hydrophila culture). Fish organ (liver) wereprocessed for histological studied (formalin fixed, alcohol series, 6 sliced and HE Stained).Result indicate that the structure of liver of the treated fish showing abnormality symptoms,such as necrosis, fatted degeneration and hemorrhage. It can be concluded that feeding offish with 30 g of Psidium guajava and 30 g of Andrographis paniculata Ness is able to treatA. hydrophila infection on Mystus nemurus.Key word : Liver, Mystus nemurus, Psidium guajava, Andrographis paniculata Ness.

Abstract

This research was conducted in September 2014 which took place in Nagari Sungai Antuan District of Mungka subdistrict Limapuluh kota West Sumatra province. The population is fish farmers as much as 20 people, and 1 extension. So the method of sample collections using the census method.Extension officers visit the fish farmers in the Nagari Sungai Antuan carried out 3-4 times a month, according to the needs of fish farmers. Of the three elements of behaviour change can be seen that fisheries extension activities in the Nagari Sungai Antuan in groups of fish farming in ponds has been effective. It can be seen from each element of behaviour change, the element of "knowledge" in the fish farmers ponds had been at the level of “analyzing” there are 15 people (75%) and the level of “integrate” there are 2 people (10%), fisheries extension in the Nagari Sungai Antuan has reached the stage of 85% effective. On the element of “attitude” fish farmers already on the level of “judge” there are 12 peope (60%) and at the level of “organize” as much as 5 people (15%), fisheries extension workers in the Nagari Sungai Antuan has reached the stage of 75% effective. On the element of “skill” they‟re level of “familiar” there are 12 people (60%) and the level of “skilled” there are 2 people (10%) and the level of “adaptation” as much as 2 people (10%) fisheries extension workers in the Nagari Sungai Antuan has reached the stage of 80% effective. It can be concluded fisheries extentension activities in the Nagari Sungai Antuan on each extension element has reached expectations.Keywords : The effectiveness of counseling, fish farmer rroup in swimming
