Abstract

has been conducted in April 2016. The aim of this study was to know the effect oftemperature and frying time and it’s interaction to produce the best quality of theshredded fish. The method of this study was an experiment method, that usingtemperature and different frying time. The quality parameter used theorganoleptic analysis (colour, smell, taste and texture) and the proximate (water, protein, fat and ashes). The analysis of variance (Completely RandomizedDesign/CRD) has been used to set the evaluation of the research, with factorialthat consist of temperature 1000C-1150C (S1), 1100C-1250C (S2), 1200C-1350C(S3) as the first factor and the frying time is 7,5 minutes (W1), 8 minutes (W2), 8,5minutes (W3) as the second factor. The result of this study showed that the bestquality of the shredded Little Tuna was S3W3 (1200C-1350C, 8,5 minutes), such asyellowish-brown, very specific and special smell, very delicious and very tasty, soft and crispy. The content of water was 9,65, content of protein was 39,45%,content of fat was 25,47% and content of ashes was 8,2%.Key word : shredded, little tuna, temperature and time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the amount of fermented cassava leaf meal the diets on growth, feed efficiency, feed digestibility and protein retention of Jelawat (Leptobarbus hoeveni.). Five isonitrogenous (30% crude protein) experimental diets was formulated to contain 0, 10, 15, 20, and 25% fermented cassava leaf meal and 100, 90, 85, 80 and 75% soybean meal (P0,P1,P2,P3,P4, respectively).Completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this exsperiment. The result showed that a diet containing 10% fermented cassava leaf meal and 90% soybean meal (P1) support a good specific growth rate (1.61%/day), feed efficiency (20.70%), feed digestibility (42.01) and protein retention (13.62%). It this concluded that soybean meal can be substituted with 10% fermented cassava leaf meal in the diets for jelawat.Key word: cassava leaf, diet, fermentation, growth, Leptobarbus hoeveni

Abstract

The research was conducted in February 2015 in the North Coast Bengkalis Island, Bantan District. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlations between the concentration of nitrate, phosphate and silicate as well as an abundance of diatoms, to provide information about fertility waters seen from the content of nitrate, phosphate and silicate as well as an abundance of diatoms in the water, so it can be used as a reference for the development of fisheries and the preservation of ecosystems in a sustainable manner, The research was used purposive sampling method with 3 stations and each station there are four sampling points. The results showed that the concentration of Nitrate, Phosphate and Silicate i.e 0.0747 mg/L; 0.0586 mg/L; 0.0542 mg/L . Diatom species were found 11 species i.e: Rhizosoleniaalata, Rhizosoleniadelicatula, Skeletonemacostatum, Lauderia borealis, NitzschiaSeriata, Isthmia SP, Biddulphiapulchella, Rhizosoleniaindica, Aulacoseria granulate, Lepctocylindrusanmeus and Ceralaulinadentata. An abundance of diatoms at Station 1 , Station 2 and Station 3 as much as 1916.67 Ind/L ; 1316.67 Ind/L ; 3241.67 Ind/L. The results of Regression test showed that nitrate concentrations correlations with diatom abundance of very strong correlation with the value of r (correlation coefficient) = 0.946. Relations with the abundance of diatoms phosphate concentrations are very strong correlations with the value of r (correlation coefficient) = 0.988. Relations with the silicate concentration of diatom abundance of strong correlationss with the value of r (correlation coefficient) = 0,550.Keywords: Nitrate, Phospate, Silicate, Abundance Diatoms,

Abstract

This research was conducted from December2015 until January 2016 at Technology Research and Development Center in Riau Balitbang.Thepurpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with addition bacterial dose in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and two replications, fourare P1 : 10 mL/m3 bacterial dose, P2 : 15 mL/m3bacterial dose, P3 : 20mL/m3bacterial dose. The result showed that african catfish with addition bacterial dose in bioflocs techniques affect significantly on the growth of absolute weight, the specific growth, but does not affect absolute length growth and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment P2 with 15mL/m3 bacterial dose, with value growth of absolute weight 50,15g, growth in absolute length 13,97cm, specific growth rate 3,39% and survival rate 98,16 %.   Keyword : african catfish, Dose bacteria, Bioflocs technology

Abstract

The upstream the Umban Sari River was inhabit by numerous fish species. Information on these fish, however, is almost none. To understand the biodiversity of fish in that river, a study has been conducted from September to October 2015. The fish was sampled using several net types (mesh size 0.1 – 1.0 inch), electrofishing and scoop net. Data were then analyzed to find the relative profusion (Kr), fish occurrence frequency and the presence fish (Fi). The fish sampled were identified based on Kottelat (2013). Results shown that there were 15 species (8 families) present. There were Osteochilus hasselti, Parachela oxygastroides, Cyclocheilichthyes apogon, Esomus metallicus, Rasbora cephalotaenia, Rasbora trilineata, Clarias batrachus, Oreochromis niloticus, Channa striata , Trichogaster trichopterus, Trichogaster pectoralis, Trichopsis vittata, Pterygoplichthys pardalis , Xenentodon canciloides and Monopterus albus. The most common fish was Esomus metallicus. Trichogaster trichopterus and Channa striata were distributed evenly along the river, as they were found in each sampling area (Fi 100%). Besides the endemic fishes, there were 5 exotic species (Fi 37%) present, namely E. metallicus, O. niloticus, T. pectoralis, C. striata and P. pardalis.Keyword: fish biodiversity, Umban Sari River, Pekanbaru, Riau
