Abstract

PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia is an exploration company oil and gas fields, which is one of the combustible material. Therefore, the risk in case of technical and non-technical disruptions that could generate sparks it will be very fatal. One interference that may cause a threat to life safety of the workers is the arc. Large arc energy generated depends on the working time safety system due to short-circuit current interruption, the incident energy calculations will be used as a reference in determining the appropriate safety equipment for workers. From the calculation results based on the IEEE 1584 2002 obtained the magnitude of the incident energy is varied, depend on fault clearing time of protection system.Keywords : Arc Flash, Incident Energy

Abstract

The development of telecommunications technology based on Internet Protocol (IP) is now growing with the competitiveness of the telecommunications company to improve the quality of service to consumers. It can be obtained by increasing the quality backbone network using Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS). MPLS is a new technology to forward the packet to the backbone network without changing the existing network structure. The main idea is to construct a replacement MPLS paths using label switching and distribute traffic into it. This paper compare the Qualty of Service (QoS) on Non-MPLS backbone network to MPLS backbone network with OSPF routing protocol on the PT. Telecommunication Indonesia, Tbk. Witel Ridar Riau. The Software simulation using Graphical Network Simulator (GNS3) is analyze by observing QoS are delay, packet loss, throughput, and jitter with Wireshark. In this research, there are two scenarios that will be analyzed. The first scenarios analyze the customer site make deliveries to one another customer site and the second scenarios analyze two customer sites make deliveries to the customer site simultaneously. The results show that the highest delay in the first scenario is better MPLS backbone network at 0.029999 s and 0.0124 s in the second scenario than Non-MPLS backbone network. It Followed by the highest value of packet loss on the network backbone MPLS and non-MPLS are equal 0% and in the second scenario, MPLS is better 0% than non-MPLS. The Throughput has same trend with the highest value in the first scenario MPLS backbone network is better 0.0085 Mbps and 0011 Mbps in the second scenario than Non-MPLS backbone network. Meanwhile the highest jitter values in the first scenario MPLS backbone network is better too at 0.3595995 s and 1.544403 s on the second scenario than the non-MPLS.Keywords : MPLS, OSPF,GNS3, QoS, Wireshark.

Abstract

Concrete has significant deficiencies, which have a low tensile strength. The addition of fiber is one alternative to overcome these shortcomings. Bamboo fiber is a natural fiber that is readily available and relatively fast growth of bamboo. Fibers made of bamboo on the skin without the book.This study aimed to examine the effect of fiber length of bamboo bark against concrete compressive strength, tensile strength of concrete, and the flexural strength of concrete. The study was conducted by making a diameter cylindrical specimen of 150 mm and a height of 300 mm and a beam with a length of 600 mm, width 150 mm, and a height of 150 mm. Used fiber content is 0.5 wt% of aggregate fraction with variation in the length of 2.5 cm (BS-2.5), 5 cm (BS-5), and a 7.5 cm (BS-7.5). Concrete without fiber (BN) is also made as a comparison.The results showed BN compressive strength is 26.97 MPa, BS-2.5 32.82 MPa (up 21.68%), BS-5 27.73 MPa (up 2.80%), BS-7.5 25 , 18 Mpa (down 6.64%), and BS-10 31.69 MPa (up 17.48%). BN tensile strength is 2.31 Mpa, BS-2.5 2.92 MPa (up 26.53%), BS-5 at 2.92 MPa (down 1.02%), BS-7.5 2.07 Mpa (down 10.20%), and BS-10 2.59 MPa (up 12.24%). BN flexural strength was 5.20 MPa, BS-2.5 4.77 MPa (down 8.28%), BS-5 5.13 MPa (down 1.31%), BS-7.5 4.69 Mpa (down 9.80%), and BS-10 of 5.88 MPa (up 13.07%). From the results of this study concluded that the effect of fiber length 2.5 cm can increase the compressive strength and tensile strength respectively 21.68% and 26.53%. In the flexural strength testing biggest influence fiber length is the length of 10 cm that is equal to 13.07%.Keywords: Concrete fiber, long fiber, bamboo skin, compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength

Abstract

Substation as a component of power system plays an important role in the continuity of the supply of electric to consumers that continues to increase each year. If the electrical load is borne by the substation is greater than the capacity of the substation, the substation will experience overload which resulted in the supply of electricity to consumers stalled. These condition must be anticipated as early as possible by PT. PLN (Persero) Pekanbaru CityArea as the provider of electric energy. In this thesis, the author conducted an analysis the existence and development of 20 KV distribution substation in City of Pekanbaru to evaluatethe existing condition which includes loading the transformer and a broad service area on the substation-substation in the city of Pekanbaru then be combined with forecast informationpeak load growth in every district, the density of the total load and peak load in Pekanbaru Resulsts in development of substation Garuda Sakti occured in 2015 with up rating andaddition of 1 unit transformer, in 2016 the development with addition 1 unit transformer, in 2019 the development with made planning construction of new substations. Results indevelopment of substation Teluk Lembu in 2020 with the addition 1 unit transformer and in 2023 made planning construction of new substation. With the construction of the newsubstation will take over most of substation loading on Garuda Sakti and Teluk Lembu.Keywords : Load growth forecast, Transformer, Develoment of substation

Abstract

Artificial geopolymer aggregates is one of many methods on making aggregates in case for substitution of natural aggregates. The main ingredients of thisgeopolymer is a material that contains silica and aluminium in a great numbers. In the province of Riau fly ash (FA) and palm oil fuel ash (POFA) are waste materials that until this time did not get utilized optimally whereas this materials are verypotentially for geopolymerization. NaOH and Na2SiO3 are used as alkaline activators, NaOH molarity (0, 8, 10 and 12M ) used as variation on sample composition. The highest compressive strength based on variation is using as the next sample artificial aggregates composition with 1-2cm size of diameters. Researchshowed that 12M variation results the highest compressive strength, that is 2,8 MPa for FA and 9,9 MPa for POFA. Based on that composition artificial geopolymer aggregates were made and then tested by its specific gravity, gradations andabrations.Keywords: artificial, aggregates, geopolymer, fly ash, palm oil fuel ash

Abstract

The advancement of technology in remote sensing sector has provided an alternative solution of data availability in hydrological modeling by satellite data appearance. However, the satellite data still has a weaknesses which is probably caused by several factors such as weather condition and the existence of other objects so that data quality is not good. Therefore, the aim of this research is to model the hydrological rainfall-rainoff with three types of rainfall that are satellite rainfall, ground rainfall and modified rainfall using IFAS program in Rokan Sub Watershed, Riau Province. At the verification phase, advanced and backwards simulation will be done respectively in 2005 and 2006 to test the reliability of the model. The result shows that hydrological modeling at calibration phase in 2006 has a better result in satellite rainfall than that of ground and modified rainfall, with coefficient of correlation (R) value 0,574, volume error (VE) 2,985%, and coefficient of efficiency (CE) 0,876.Keywords: rainfall-runoff modeling, satellite rainfall, ground rainfall, modified rainfall, IFAS.

Abstract

On this study to review the rainfall-runoff modeling of GR4J (Ge'nie Rural a`4parame`tres Journalier) on Watershed (DAS) Indragiri Bagian Hulu. In this study using two methods:by modeling GR4J and length of the data elaboration method for calibration and verification. This GR4J models using input data including daily data of rainfall at the Lubuk Ramo stationand daily data of evapotranspiration potential is the result of a program CropWat within input data is climatological data at Sentajo stations, modeling results is tested using daily data of discharge observations on the Pulau Berhala station. This modeling to optimize four free parameters such as Maximum Capacity Production Store (X1) is 1200,00 mm, Coefficient Changes in Ground water (X2) is 3,00 mm, Maximum Capacity Routing Store (X3) is 20,00 mm, and Peak Time Ordinate unit hydrograph (X4) 24,75 days. In the second method, performed of calibration in certainly year and verification in thereafther. As a determinant of the model’s success is use dequation NashSutcliffe Coefficient (R2) and the correlation coefficien tmethod (R) to calculate the deviation occurs.Keywords : GR4J, Calibration, Verification.

Abstract

Research was conducted at a location in Pekanbaru city. On this location has two test line at a distance from each other as far as 3 m, which for each testing line will be tested by using 2D geoelectric Wenner and dipole-dipole arrays then performed data processing by software Res2dinv. In addition, there will be handbor and laboratory testing for the soil in depth 1, 2, and 3 m to determine the soil classifications. And then, this result will be compared or matched with geoelectric result. Generally, the geoelectric (soil resistivity) results from the both arrays is sufficient to represent the actual potention of underground conditions. That can be evidenced with have suitability result between geoelectric, handbor, and laboratory test. In this result, Wenner array gives better result than dipole-dipole array. Wenner array gives resistivity range more closer and layers of the soil are easier to interpret than dipole-dipole array.Keywords: Resistivity, Geoelectric, Wenner, dipole-dipole

Abstract

Clean water obtained by the population of Sabak Auh up until now is still very limited. Raw water is taken from Bunga Raya and processed in Bunga Raya water treatment installation which is then the clean water is transmitted to Sabak Auh. Therefore, an alternative of transmission pipe is needed to fulfill water requirement pipe in Sabak Auh. Calculation result shows that water requirement after twenty years is 31 liters/second. Clean water transmission from Bunga Raya to Sabak Auh is 18925,1 meters in length. This research used 4 alternatives, 3 alternatives of Transmission pipe using booster pump and from the relation of discharge and head obtained, it can be conduded that the pumps used in this 4 pump alternatives are Grundfos pump with 2-pole and 4-pole. Clean water transmission system simulation for Sabak Auh is expected to be a guide for the design of transmission of PDAM Bunga Raya.Keywords: EPANET, transmission, clean water, PDAM.

Abstract

This study discusses the behavior of fire-resistant mortar strength with the addition of palm sugar. The purpose of the addition of palm sugar is to increase the fireproof mortar strength at high temperatures. Palm sugar content variation used was 0,10%, 0,30%, and 0,50% of the weight of the cement. The test object made in this study were 48 units with details of 12 pieces of mortar OPC+0,10% palm sugar, 12 pieces of mortar OPC+0,30% palm sugar, 12 pieces of mortar OPC+0,50% palm sugar, and 12 OPC mortar normal as a control. Mortar burned at a temperature of 250○C, 500○C, and 750○C for 3 h at 28 days and then tested compressive strength. The results of research and compressive strength before being burned at a temperature of 250○C showed that normal OPC has the highest compressive strength. But at a temperature of 500○C and 750○C a compressive strength of palm sugar mortarOPC+0,10% higher than normal OPC.Keywords: Mortar fire- resistant, palm sugar, OPC, compressive strength,
