Abstract

PT X is a company engaged in the sale, purchase of computer equipment. PT X also receive services for servicing computers and laptops. PT X has a problem in the transaction data integration between service, online sales and offline sales.To overcome these problems, made an application has the following scope : the process of buying, selling offline, online, settlement of accounts payable, purchase returns, stocks of goods and services, processes accounting, and financial statements that include general ledger, sales journal, a journal purchases, cash receipts journals, accounts payable, accounts receivable reports, inventory reports, sales reports, purchasing reports, income statement, owners equity, balance sheet. This application is made by using the programming language PHP and MySQL as data storage.Applications are made to the applications test results show that the application can automatically process the purchase transaction data, offline sales, online, general journal, payment of debts, receivables and servicing. The level of accuracy, appropriateness and completeness of the financial statements produced very satisfactory application.

Abstract

Nowadays, technology develops very fast.   Especially as a support for business activity, such as administration information system which is already applied by X distributor. There are some elements to be fulfilled in order to apply the technology. However, it is important to calculate the benefits compare to the technology expenses. To help the organization in solving that problem, it needs an Information Economics as a tools to calculate the benefits and the investment.Based on that problem, there must be an analysis on the investment. That analysis can be done by calculating the ROI and IE Score. Then, the result can be a consideration whether the infestation worth to be done or not. The quantification which is divided into four categories, value linking, value acceleration, value restructuring, and innovation valuation and makes a questioner for the weighting to the business and technology domain.Because of the complexity calculation process, there was made a calculating tool which can help the organization easily get the result of ROI and IE Score. That application based on the web which is use a PHP program language and Mysql as its database. It will make the user easily access the application everywhere and every time. The weighted score from the analysis is 82.86. This score was categorized as a very great investment. Moreover, the payback period is a year 5 months and 11 days.

Abstract

One of interesting aspect in game is virtual enemy (AI) as enemy to the player. This aspect is important to give challenge to the player, especially for a single player game. One game that requires such AI is a turn-based strategy game. To be able to create an interesting and challenging AI for the player, it is require equally strong and dynamic AI.To create such AI, ID3 and Influence Map will be used as the base of the AI used in turn-based strategy game. Applications made include ID3 training software and Influence Map class inside the game that will be used. ID3 System is made to have the ability to process continuous data.The results showed that the ability to create a decision tree by ID3 is greatly influenced by the training data used. The results also showed that the propagation method used for the Influence Map system can be set to suit the requirements in the game.

Abstract

The popularity of Android based device could lead into an abundant amount of device choices from many vendors. There’s a lot factors that one needed to consider before they can decide one device on the market that fully coping their needs. Some of whice are device’s performance, size, and price. The benchmark application will put the device into trial which consists of CPU computation, JavaScript performance, Graphics, and Storage capability. Application aside, there will be a web service intended to provide service for masses in an easier and a simpler way.Based on the test results, the application can run well and can perform all of its functions. Score output are relevant and can give the user general view about the performance from the device on the market. On several later iteration of android version, usage permission for external storage are very limited. Hence, DriveSpeed2 can’t be run because the application couldn’t write on external storage freely.

Abstract

PT. X is a tobacco company. In order to support its business processes, this company uses software, hardware, network and machines for production process. However, this company is lack of monitoring of IT tools so that when problems occur, the problem solving can be delayed, and it has no plans if disaster might happen.This thesis assess IT risks and company’s business processes. This assessment uses COBIT 4.1 standard, ISO 31000, and for the calculation used Risk Rating Methodology OWASP. Risks that have Critical-High scale are no Disaster Recovery Plan, backup result is stored in the same room with the main server, no monitoring in data backing up, data backup is just done in onsite technique, no backup data recording.The responses to the company’s risk factors are that company should make DRP so that when any disaster occurs, company’s important data is not lost, backup storage should located, at different place than main server, company should backup process, and backup should be done by offsite technique, so when any data is lost, it can be easily restored.

Abstract

Toko Gypsum Mulia Jaya is a company engaged in the sale and installation of Gypsum profile, partition, aluminum and some building materials. Currently, the recording system stock in Toko Gypsum Mulia Jaya still manually so that the accuracy of the data is less relevant and seems slow. Moreover the recording for each transaction is still not done. Based on the background of the problems in Toko Gypsum Mulia Jaya. In this design an information system that can record the purchase of administration, record keeping stock, conversion of goods, sales, reports and reminders to address the needs of every record store in the business process in question. The process of develop an application using Visual Basic 2010, while for the database using Sql Server 2008. The results obtained from the manufacture of administrative information system applications, among others, the purchase of material goods can be recorded into the database. Program helps recording all trading transactions. The process of checking the stock becomes easier and faster. Helping calculation of profit / loss for the income and expenditure. Display application is good enough and easy to use.

Abstract

Santoso Material Building Store is a company engaged in the sale of construction materials. Currently recording system stock in Stores Building Santoso still manually so that the accuracy of the data is less relevant and seems slow. Based on the background of the problems in Santoso Material Building Stores. Author designing an information system applications based on client-server that can record the purchase, registration of stock, conversion of goods, sales, and reports to address the needs of every record store in the business processes that occur. The development of the application uses Microsoft Visual Basic 2010, with Sql Server 2008 R2 database. Based on the results of the testing, the application can generate the required reports, and the branches  can be connected to the database server so that the branch can access data store the goods on store and application can perform all their function.

Abstract

Procurement Department in PT. X is a department from a manufacturing company based in Surabaya, it provides needs of all departments in PT. X. Information Technology in Procurement is completely utilized to support the companys business activities and processes. However, this company has not done any risk assessment, that might causing the company does not know what impact that might occur that can choke Procurement’s performance. Therefore, a risk assessment is required to analyze the risk factors that could interfere Procurement’s business processes and provide a response to the most critical risks.This research is about to assess risks that might have happened in Information Technology and Procurement’s business processes. The steps in this risk assessment are using COBIT 4.1 standard to define the processes in the analysis, ISO 31000 as a framework in risk assessment steps, and Risk Rating Methodology OWASP as a reference for valuation and risk calculations. Based on the interview that has done, 14 risk factors have been found in PT. X Procurement. Some of them are data contracts is not stored in a database system, no written agreement regarding to devoted vendor PIC to handle related project, company does not have any contingency plan if there is a problem in the manufacture of goods/services by the vendor, Procurement has not performed IT risk assessment yet, so there is no analysis of the events might occur, no special documentation such as risk recording of each vendor, no uniformity of vendors progress report format so their points of information might not delivered completely, and no requirement for vendors to provide vendor reporting progress.The proposed response to the company are company should copy the contract and scan then store it into the system, identify and document the individuals involved in the project, providing a contingency plan in case either party to cancel the contract before the end of the contract period, make IT risk assessment, taking notes or special documentation related risk will each vendor, make format report for vendor reporting progress, and regularly schedule communication between Procurement and vendors to discuss the vendor progress.

Abstract

The development of technology can make human being to do a lot of things more simple. Teaching method currently has many variations so that the learning process is more alive. Learning by explaining the process which can be seen is very beneficial. Sometimes in a process, hand gestures play an important role in understanding the whole process. The use of webcam can be another alternative to digitize what is written by users. This thesis aims to digitize lecturing notes on paper using a device webcam.The system includes processes like image retrieval, paper detection, projection mapping, skin detection and removal, and processing results with threshold method. Paper edge detection process uses the method of canny edge detection. In paper edge detection, webcam image becomes image with white color for area of paper. Projection mapping process is used to map the image with trapezoid shape of paper into image with rectangular shape of paper. Skin detection process uses HSV and YCbCr color space. In skin detection process, hand which still appears in image becomes image without hand. The application was created using the C# programming language with Visual C# 2010 as its IDE.The experiment results indicate that the color, ink thickness, threshold value, height of the webcam, size and distance between scratches, and lighting level will affect the final outcome of the application. In addition, the hand’s position during the writing may cause a shadow on the paper. The best result of all methods which have been tried is the result of the threshold method.

Abstract

Toko Mulia Sport is a shop specialized in the sale of sport tool. Toko Mulia Sport bussines prosses is still done manually. The invoice and data inventory are written by hand. The purpose of this thesis is to produce a administration information system that can help Toko Mulia Sport administrative activities.This information system is used to store items data. Purchase and sale transactions process help to assist the sale product to the customer and the purchase product to the supplier. Product item and transaction reports help to facilitate owner in looking at the data. This information system is built using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 programming language. The  data storage system uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008.Based on test results, a system that has been created can help Toko Mulia Sport in conducting transactions or print the report.
