Abstract

Hotel Istana is a hotel located in Jember, East Java. The current system is still not standarized. There are several business processes that have been computerized but some are still not computerized so there are still many shortcomings in record keeping. An example is the shortage of hotel revenue making bookkeeping errors can occur because of the missing memorandum that created the income statement is not accurate. For hospitality that made this system for the development of the old system.In this paper, the development process begins with analysis of the design with DFD, ERD, DocumentFlow. To determine the design of the field survey is needed first. Applications reservation system, check in, check out, a new report will be implemented at the Hotel Istana for the system in the hotel becomes more computerized and existing data can be stored in the database. This reduces the risk of data loss and also errors in the calculation. This thesis was made using Vb.net 2010 and Sql Server 2005 as the database.This application has been created with the features according to the system at Hotel Istana as check in, check out, reservation. Report feature has been able to assist owner monitoring development of business processes. Based on the questionnaire, this application has obtained 73.1% satisfaction rate.

Abstract

PT. X has grown to be a company of  papermaking which has several division to run enterprise business processes. Nowadays information system that support enterprise business processes have inadequacy due to fully unintegrated. That information system only support accountancy, whereas another business process mostly use non electronic. Based on that reason, therefore company need analysis and information system design which is enterprise architecture planning framework. Furthermore, exploring company business processes need analysis of business model and business strategy. Thereby evaluating the condition of information technology, the problems faced and the need of information technology in the future.As a result, the design of data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture are made. The design of data architecture for company consist of several sub system. Moreover, the major applications from design of applications architecture are human resource information system, sales and marketing information system, logistic information system, manufacture information system, warehouse and quality control information system, purchasing information system, accounting and finance information system. Technology architecture purpose use client/server architecture pattern and service oriented architecture data services.

Abstract

On this current situation, UD. 88 is not using transaction recording system with good information flow. All transaction recording still done in manual way, it makes UD. 88 very susceptible to exposure and loss caused by overstock and stockout costs.Based on this background, we designed a structural accounting information system with inventory control that can overcome the problems. That system was build using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and MySQL as database.The result obtained from the system are master recording, purchase and sale transaction recording, inventory control, stock report, purchase report, sales report, general ledger, and financial statement such as income statement and balance sheet.

Abstract

There are a lot of card games or card games circulating today and demand a lot of circles, one of which is CardFight Vanguard. But some enthusiasts of this game wants to play but with the price of the card is quite expensive so often they only see or borrow from others.With the use of smartphones are widely used today by children and adults, an application designed to help these card players.This application provide cards that can be used by users of this application to make a deck that will be used to play, by using Wi-Fi technology users can play with other users during both connected to the same network connection.Based on testing, this application can run the DeckEdit function where users can create decks and functions as the original game on the Play menu where the user can play with other users.

Abstract

Academic records of student candidates and students of Petra Christian University (PCU) which have been stored so far have not been used to generate information. PCU’s Top-level management needs a way to generate information from the records. The generated information is expected to support the decision-making process of Top-level management.Before starting the application development, analysis and design of the student academic records and the needs of Top-level management are done. The design stage produces a number of modeling that will be used to create the application.The final result of the development is an Academic Decision Support System application for PCU. The developed application includes Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), customizable graphs, and user maintenance features.

Abstract

PT. X is a private company that commercially operated since 1991. It becomes the first company which produces Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) in Indonesia. In order to support the business processing, PT. X only have a program holds its warehouse and also the general ledger. The program is lack of information system which is not whole integrated.For this reason, in this thesis, the analysis and design of architecture data information system is made for the company. The process begins by analyzing the business model and business strategy. After that, analysis the information technology in this company recently, then understanding the problem and looking at the need of information technology in the future. Next, making the design of architecture data which is suitable with business strategy and company's business process.

Abstract

Procurement Department in PT. X is a department from a manufacturing company based in Surabaya, it provides needs of all departments in PT. X. Information Technology in Procurement is completely utilized to support the company's business activities and processes. However, this company has not done any risk assessment, that might causing the company does not know what impact that might occur that can choke Procurement’s performance. Therefore, a risk assessment is required to analyze the risk factors that could interfere Procurement’s business processes and provide a response to the most critical risks.This research is about to assess risks that might have happened in Information Technology and Procurement’s business processes. The steps in this risk assessment are using COBIT 4.1 standard to define the processes in the analysis, ISO 31000 as a framework in risk assessment steps, and Risk Rating Methodology OWASP as a reference for valuation and risk calculations. Based on the interview that has done, 14 risk factors have been found in PT. X Procurement. Some of them are data contracts is not stored in a database system, no written agreement regarding to devoted vendor PIC to handle related project, company does not have any contingency plan if there is a problem in the manufacture of goods/services by the vendor, Procurement has not performed IT risk assessment yet, so there is no analysis of the events might occur, no special documentation such as risk recording of each vendor, no uniformity of vendors progress report format so their points of information might not delivered completely, and no requirement for vendors to provide vendor reporting progress.The proposed response to the company are company should copy the contract and scan then store it into the system, identify and document the individuals involved in the project, providing a contingency plan in case either party to cancel the contract before the end of the contract period, make IT risk assessment, taking notes or special documentation related risk will each vendor, make format report for vendor reporting progress, and regularly schedule communication between Procurement and vendors to discuss the vendor progress.

Abstract

PT. X is n new express delivery company which was established in 2010 and still using the traditional business system. PT. X needs information system strategy and information technology (IT) to support its business processes so it can survive and compete in this modern business world. The information system strategy and IT that will be applied adjusted to the vision, mission, company’s strategic, and company’s need.In effort to produce information system strategic and the IT for PT. X analysis is performed using information system strategic planning which is started with porter value system analysis methods, strength, weakness, opportunities, and threat analysis (SWOT), and TOWS analysis. Finally, the analysis is continued using balanced scorecard analysis (BSC) and critical success factors (CSF).From the research conducted, informations about the company’s conditions, company’s needs, and the company’s competitive forces are produced. The company’s CSF can also be known from this research. In the end of this research the most suitable aplication portfolio with the company’s vision mision, strategy, and company’s need are produced for the PT. X.

Abstract

CV.XYZ is a small size company that works on software engineering.The worker in this company is not many, between 5 – 8 people only. The problem in this company is there are no identification of risks that can happen. The examples of the problems are the clients suddenly request some features for their software, no milestone on the project, no data about clients’ system and no monitoring on the ongoing projects. These things can hold back the company’s performance. Thus, risk analysis is needed for analyzing risk faktors that can disturb software development.In this thesis, identification on how the company works is performed, analysing for any existing risk and response for those risks. The risk assessment process is done based on NIST 800-30 that explains about ten steps of risk assessment, determining risks based on ISO 29110 about how to create software on a company that works in software engineering with less than 25 workers in it, and OWASP Risk Rating Methodology about determining the value of every risk based on certain criterias. OWASP is used as guidelines for determining weight of each risks that has been found using ISO 29110. Based on analysis, those methods used are useful for searching and responding existing risks. Result shows 1 high risk, 2 medium risks and 19 low risks. For high risk there  is no risk identification on the company that makes the company does not know what risk can impact them. The response is avoid by doing risk identification.

Abstract

Santoso Material Building Store is a company engaged in the sale of construction materials. Currently recording system stock in Stores Building Santoso still manually so that the accuracy of the data is less relevant and seems slow. Based on the background of the problems in Santoso Material Building Stores. Author designing an information system applications based on client-server that can record the purchase, registration of stock, conversion of goods, sales, and reports to address the needs of every record store in the business processes that occur. The development of the application uses Microsoft Visual Basic 2010, with Sql Server 2008 R2 database. Based on the results of the testing, the application can generate the required reports, and the branches  can be connected to the database server so that the branch can access data store the goods on store and application can perform all their function.
