Abstract

Nowadays, people more realize about beauty. We can see it from every events which is held by people like birthday, wedding, thanksgiving, funeral, etc. Flowers are universal beauty.  Because of that, flowers can be an alternative to answer individual needs of beauty. “Hosanna Florist and Handycraft” is one of famous florist in Mojokerto. The most important thing from the design’s shop is for change people’s mind set from florist as a flower shop become the answer of the beauty’s need. This florist interior design shows a modern naturalism style. Naturalism is shown from a flowers garden which can be seen from inside’s shop. It can make customers become comfort and being one with nature.

Abstract

The church is a building that has an image of Gods glory so that through space design elements, sacred atmosphere can formone through acoustics. The church has an unique acoustic because the church has two activities, namely speech and music. Santa Maria Tak Bercela Catholic Church Surabaya adjacent to Santa Clara School Surabaya, which at certain hours of the atmosphere will be very crowded church. With the help of Sound Level Meter, the background noise is known and the power of the sound source at this church. Reverberation time is calculated by manually sabine and computerize using program Autodeks Ecotect Analysis 2011. Having in mindthe results of the calculation of reverberation time in the field was 0.79-0.88 seconds, the church should be optimized with the goal of achieving the optimum reverberation time is 1. 4 seconds and the sound proofing leaks, by using materials such as insulation yumen board, glasswoll, acrylic, curtains, glass in sealant, rubber on the doors and closing the door hole.

Abstract

Restaurant and kongkow place are a unity when talked about residents from Medan city. These became a problem for those migrants from Medan city in Surabaya city because of the lack of places for kongkow avtivity. So there’s needs for a restaurant that also can accomodate kongkow activity. This restaurant applied interior atmosphere that adapted from street atmosphere based from Medan city residents’s habit to kongkow outside. This restaurant is espected to become a place for all Medan city migrants in Surabaya city gather up or even introduce Medan city’s food to Surabaya city resident.

Abstract

This design is aimed to educate the Surabaya’s people about equipment and physics knowledge. Remembering the general people’s circumscription about physics education. The design that I create is designing information centre as functional as possible. Physics equipment can help Surabaya’s people to increase their knowledge about physics education.

Abstract

Modular indoor booth design is an inovation on product display system for the interior of exhibition space. The aim of this booth design is to facilitate the exhibition’s organizer in setting up and disassembling the booth. Combining modular system and breakdown system in the design may provide an ease in many aspects, such as in transportation, assembly dan storage. The advantages of this display system are its capability in adapting on different situation may appear in exhibition space and creating several different forms from one set booth design. It also supports the world in overcome global warming by using material efficiently.

Abstract

The potehi puppet was a culture from Chinese be in the form of hand’s doll which played with colonial story. In the period of reformation, the potehi puppet had no permition from President wheresoever to all Chinese culture can’t show in public. Nowadays Chinese culture can show in public again. But many people had no interest for this culture because they assuming that thing so boring. Surabaya is a East Java’s capital where the potehi puppet came for the first time through market’s route ago so this place will be so compatible if there is a museum of potehi puppet. Hopefully, with this design planning people will have a place to give more acknowledges from one of Chinese culture where they were minority in Indonesia and so ever got discrimination in new orde’s period, knowing Indonesia is “Bhineka Tunggal Ika”.

Abstract

Indonesias remarkable cultural good can be typical of Indonesias identity. One example of a work of art that is Indonesia songket. Songket is a type of woven cloth which can be classed in the family woven brocades. Hand-woven Songket with threads of gold and silver and are generally worn on formal occasions. Lombok is one of the areas that produce woven songket. Kain songket sasak are already known by the beauty and subtlety of his mantle motif. The design emphasizes the aspect of informative, educative and recreative which provided the lobby area, cafe, souvenir shop, Gallery, workshop, library, maintenance and grounds of natural dyes. The concept used is The Beauty of Songket where the intended design is able to show the beauty of lombok songket cloth by using one of the motifs of songket Lombok as motif in the application layout, materials, colors, and so on. The application form used the balanced forms, geometric (rigid) and game lines.

Abstract

The needs of plywood as industrial raw materials increased along with the development of the usefulness of plywood in human life. This study took the subject of experimental of paint finishing with brush that is applied to the plywood. In wood process, finishing is a very important stage. Finishing process is commonly known as paint application process. Type of paint is varied, depends on the constituent materials, usability to location of use. Type of paint chosen in this study is oil paint, duco, latex, acrylic, and epoxy This research using qualitative and quantitative methods in which this research aims to know the character (power test viscocity, ,adhesive potensial, gloss intensity and dry resources) each type of paint on the deployment process of paint on plywood with a brush, as well as find out the most suitable type of paint applied to plywood epoxy paint which is obtained from the results of testing.

Abstract

a light system is really an important factor in establishing the atmosphere in the room. The room in which to provide or give an atmosphere or impression that will result in giving a maximum lighting arrangement. With the use of maximum lighting of the room, the room can feel 3D (three dimensional) or feel more alive than the formation of shadows caused by lighting system reflected on the interior elements, color and material of the room. In the use and placement of good lighting system can create an atmosphere and good lighting in the room and the user of the room itself can feel comfortable, with the use and placement of bad lighting system is not good or  not appropriate can give a different impression or opinion of the room as well as the interfere of feeling comfort in the terms of visual and can occur dazzle for the user in the room.

Abstract

Reading habit become more unpopular over time. It makes people become accustomed to browse their reference in the internet instead of looking for that in the books. People’s perspectives toward local library also affecting the existence of local library itself. Library are interpreted as a place with stacks of books which exist in a intrusive environment. This is also happened at Archive and Library Bureau of Moluccas. This library don’t have supportive facilities such as WiFi, photocopy machine and self reading spots for visitors. This prompted the author to re-design the library by adding some supporting facilities which are not yet available in this library. The author applying The Simple Flashy concept to this additional development. The concept using natural lighting as the main lighting source, applying dynamic layout, geometric formation and also Moluccas traditional icon as local identity of this library. This design are created with expectation to attract people to come to this library.
