Abstract

Research studies is about the application of vintage style in some cafe in Surabaya aims to determine the application of vintage design styles contained in the interior of the cafe Carpentier Kitchen , Canary Cafe , Daily Sweet Cafe , and Stilroad Cafe . Research studies of vintage style design will be carried out in Surabaya with a case study that some cafe in Surabaya that meets the criteria of vintage design styles , including the Carpentier Kitchen , Canary Cafe , Daily Sweet Cafe , and Stilroad Cafe . The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method . Since the purpose of the study was to determine the application of modern design vintage style cafe on the interior of each of which became a case study research . In collecting the data necessary literature studies , interviews , and direct observation to study the object . After the data is collected then proceed with data analysis methods and conclusions drawn in the end

Abstract

Along with the development of the times that occurred in Indonesia, the car that was once considered a luxury and only for certain circles only now turned into a means of transportation that is almost used and owned by all community groups. Therefore, many automotive brands are competing to offer their vehicle products with various advantages each and has a showroom facility along with a workshop that can accommodate both vehicle owners and potential buyers of vehicles. This is of course realized by the brand of Honda as one of the leading automotive brands from Japan which has a name that is well known in the community because of the car products offered a large power but still efficient. Honda has many showrooms scattered throughout Indonesia, one of which is Honda Surabaya Center located in the center of Surabaya that accommodate the public to be able to buy a car, setting up the car, to perform maintenance and service on the car owned. The purpose of this design is to create a showroom that can provide a new experience to visitors who come and staff and has a characteristic of Honda itself. The method used in this design process is design thinking are (1) Discovery, (2) Observe, (3) Emphatize, (4) Leverage Stories to Discover Insights, (5) Frame & Reframe, (6) Ideate, (7) Decide, (8) Prototype, (9) Validate Your Idea, (10) Iterate.

Abstract

Coffee consumption has become a trend and lifestyle, not only in Indonesia, but all around the world. Indonesia is known as the 4th largest coffee producer country after Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. The higher the rate of coffee consumption in Indonesia, the higher the coffee waste will be produced. This research was conducted with the aim of reducing coffee waste to maintain environmental cleanliness in Indonesia.This research is an upcycling process of coffee pulp using quantitative approach techniques and experimental methods to find the percentage of material content so that it can be made into an alternative material in interior products. The material will use a combination of coffee and wood powder and resin gum. This material can be applied into 3 interiors, namely forming space, filling space, and decorating.

Abstract

Human needs an entertainment space that can accommodate the activities of socializing with others to cause feelings of pleasure.  Various kind of entertainment space can be mall, amusement park, movie theater, and one of them is a karaoke room and lounge bar.  Botol Musik in Makassar is a entertainment space as karaoke room and lounge bar that has been established since 15 years.  Botol Musik requires a new design concept for keep the visitors ' satisfaction so as not to get bored with the old interior design and it is expected that Botol Musik has its own brand as a corporate identity that will make its special than the other entertainment space in Makassar.  The design of the new interior design is using a unique concept with two different circumstances on the Customize a karaoke room and a lounge bar in the same building one.  Design method is using qualitative methods applied through the process of data exploration until the final design.

Abstract

The introduction of the characteristics possessed by coconut wood before further processing into a furniture for home stay is very important. Some coconut wood shortage that must be addressed is the coconut wood has a moisture content that is quite large, easily attacked by fungi or insects, prone to rupture and easily weathered fibers when exposed to water. Not only that, the selection of the proper construction and finishing are also factors that determine the quality of a furniture. Based on these characteristics, several steps were necessary to improve the quality of coconut wood. The home stay is where most of the community to spend time. In residences needed comfort and safety in use and take advantage of a furniture. The size and amount of furniture that aan placed in a chamber that is determined by the amount of space. That will be a discussion of the types of research that houses, furniture standard sizes for these types of homes, furniture formation as what is appropriate to the character of coconut wood, construction can be applied, until the appropriate finishing that can be used. While finishing the most appropriate is to use polyurethane, while not suitable for melamine melamine can close the wood fiber.

Abstract

Beauty clinic is a place that provides professional services related to beauty and skin care, including skin rejuvenation process, enlightenment skin, and correct any deficiencies that appear on the skin. Design beauty clinics that implement Eco-Design is a clinic which in technical terms and activities hold the principles of eco-design. For example, the formation and stylish design, the atmosphere in the interior space, material selection, lighting systems, ventilation systems and other interior support system has been certified eco-friendly. Designed facility includes lobby, waiting room, doctor's consulting room, examining room, treatment room, laser room, VIP room, service area employees, offices, meeting rooms, and a cafeteria area. Concept design eco design.Desain taken is environmental friendly, hygienic, and easy in terms of design perawatan.Tema used is clean and sejuk.Karakter clean design embodies the impression of a clinic in general, while the impression of a cool space adapted to the tropical climate in the city of Surabaya.

Abstract

Lifestyle of modern people use some time to move out of residence (public space) makes the most of the private activities can not be fulfilled. It is an idea and the idea of creating a space that can meet the needs of the private in public spaces with small dimensions. Private space in the design of the library is housed in Petra Christian University Surabaya as space scope of small private space (minimal private space dimension). The creation of small private space in the interior of the library can be considered fulfillment activity is private and academic support activities at the Library of Petra Christian University in Surabaya.

Abstract

Nowadays, tattoos have been growing rapidly in Indonesia, especially Surabaya. But there are still a lot of stigma and the negative will be the art of the tattoo itself by the people of Surabaya. People assume tattoo art is taboo and tends to smell a criminal. The concept of Black and Grey selected because it has a much different meaning from a negative image to the tattoo. This concept is taken from the first tattoo in the world is Black and Grey. This concept is different from the concept of Kent Gallery Tattoo studio and give the impression of a creepy gothic. Expected with the application of Black and Grey Tattoo studio at Kent Gallery in Surabaya can change people's negative views of tattoo art.

Abstract

Golden age period is a period where children between age 2 until 6 years old increasing their psychology, physical, and brain development in maximum. In this preiod children can recieve information as much as possible. One of tool that can help children is preschool. Preschool itself is a tool for learning and playing for children. Preschool has a curriculum be in the form learning method to support learning process. Beside that, preschool has to have a good environment school. One of the effort is by applying curriculum into the classroom layout. The goal of this reseacrh is knowing how curriculum be applied to classroom layout in Surabaya Grammar School (SGS) preschool. As for results of the conclussion from this research, curriculum is not only be applied to learning method only, but in classroom layout too to support child’s needs.

Abstract

Interior design cafe Basillico in Lombok is a commercial facility design projects that can support the level of tourism for a trip to Lombok. Basillico cafe where design will also reflect the culture of the island of Lombok, so that the visitors can enjoy the natural charm than dishes on offer and can also know the culture of Lombok unique and interesting, from diverse cultural arts Lombok. While the design concept cafe itself Basillico applying traditional concepts and philosophy of traditional buildings and art Lombok. Therefore, in the design of the cafe is using the theme Identity of Traditional Lombok, so the design of this cafe many uses materials such as wood in order to reinforce the design theme. The design and use a lot of broken formations as dominant, tekas lines and solid circles are applied to each room, so that the unity and attractive in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
