Abstract

Recently, the main focus in research and development are pointing to multimedia data, including audio. The method used for indexing and retrieval of multimedia data is known as MIRS  (Multimedia Indexing and Retrieval System). MIRS differs from traditional database management system since multimedia data has different characteristics compared to alphanumeric data. In this research a method for indexing and retrieval of audio file is developed and evaluated. The number of samples of the data used in this research are varied, but the sampling rate and the numer of bits per sample are the same. An audio file is represented by a number of features extracted from the file and stored in the system’s database. The features used for this research are average enegy, zero crossing rate and silence ratio. The three features are used for matching between query audio file and audio file in the database either individually or simultaneously. The experimental results show that the succes rate of this system to find audio files depends on the feature used and the threshold used for measuring the similarity between query audio and files in the database.  By using Euclidean Distance, the average energy gives 90% succes rate, the zero crossing rate gives 77% succes rate, the silence ratio gives 90% succes rate and the combined feature gives 90% succes rate. This succes rate percentage showed that the features used to recognize similarity between query audio file and database audio file is appropriate.   Keyword :  MIRS, average energy, zero crossing rate, silence ratio

Abstract

Classification techniques with the formation of the decision tree is a data processing technique enormous able to present the data into information that is easily understood by almost everyone didandingkan in table form. Usually, the results of data collection is in table form. But not everyone is able to read the tables quickly and accurately as you wish manufacturer, especially if the data is very large. Data in this study hundreds of data presented in tabular form. All prospective students information collected in one table with a lot of items, ranging from personal data, parents to home school. The resulting table will be difficult to understand so that the absorption of information becomes old and inaccurate. Presentation of information in the form of a decision tree into a proper alternative for the data very much. By using an application RapidMiner 5.1, the making of a decision tree data from prospective students to more easily and quickly so that the university management can see and know what are the factors that make potential students to continue the registration process to become a student. Keywords: data, information, decision tree, RapidMiner 5.0 application.

Abstract

Geographic information system, as computerized tool can be used to map and analyse existing object or occurance on earth surface. One of the implementations of geographic information system is clinics deployment and contraceptive users in Bandar Lampung. During this time, informations about clinics deployment information and contraceptive users in Bandar Lampung, is spread out by pamphlets from BKKBN, and so far, there is no particular application to help people to get information of clinics deployment by map. This research is meant to build a Geographic Information System about clinics deployment and contracetive users in Bandar Lampung. Data that required building geographic information system development are spatial data and non spatial data. Spatial data is data of Bandar Lampung map that contains of informations of districts in Bandar Lampung. While non-spatial data is administrative data that contains of informations of clinics deployment and contraceptive users in Bandar Lampung.Keywords: Geographic Information System, Contraceptions, Clinic Deployment.

Abstract

Aim of the research is to design information system for Penetapan Angka Kredit (PAK) of functional Lecture grade based on computerized system. This system produces a report of PAK, and has facilities for data entry and searching, so that, it produces of information: accuracy, timelines, and relevancy. This research uses paradigm of system development life cycle, shish covers the activities of gathering data through observation, interview and literature study; system analysis uses flow map ; system design uses context diagram, data flow diagram, data dictionary, entity relationship diagram, file relationship, file structure, program structure, input design, output design and menu structure.

Abstract

A quail is a type of poultry which producers meat and egg that are rich protein and nutrients in it. Various efforts undertaken to improve the productivity of quail in the scale of cultivation, such as the addition of hormones, feed manipulation, as well as providing additional light with the ultimate goal of optimal growth so that better productivity. Light is one external factor that can spur the growth and control of various biological processes in the body poultry. This research’s aims are to create a tool that is able to increase the quantity and quality of quail eggs by controlling the light requirements in accordance with the needs of the quail, the illumination using monochromatic light blue by 15-25 lux for 14 hours per day. The method used to made Light Intensity Control System at Quail’s Cage Based-on Arduino Uno, it is starts with collecting information, design tools, making tools, testing tools and conclusions. Based on the results of tests that have been performed on prototype instrument control systems in the light intensity quail cage conclusion that the tool is able to work well in accordance with the design.

Abstract

Development of Internet technology has demonstrated the communication that occurs does not require face to face directly. Safety factor becomes an important issue in the communication using the Internet network. Various attempts were made to keep the information security and confidentiality can be maintained. Steganography and cryptography techniques present as a technique to achieve data security. This research attempts to develop an application that can be used for communication by using two techniques. In this study steganography method used is the Least Significant Bit (LSB) whereas cryptography method used is the Caesar cipher. From the research that has been done can be generated an application that has been able to perform encryption and decryption of secret messages that can be hidden in a digital image color (24 bit). Abstract

A company is surely careful in selecting the prospective employees which are going to be promoted as employees in the company. A mistake in selecting employees will certainly give a negative influence on the employee performance. Besides evaluating the technical competence, the company also needs to evaluate the personality of the prospective employees. Therefore, it is needed a systematic method and right selection in selecting prospective employees. This research uses Process Hierarchy Analysis (AHP) method. The system does an evaluation on psychological test of the prospective employees’ personality, assumed to include the criteria as follows: honesty, loyalty, motivation, self-confidence and adaptation or cooperation. The system then will do analysis and evaluation on the test result of the prospective employees’ personality. The result of the research is a decision support system model of prospective employee selection based on the psychological test result, so the right selection of prospective employees can determine the real employees of the company as to the position needed. Through the research it can be made a conclusion that the system is feasible to be used by the users and good to be applied.Key Words : AHP, Personality, Employees, Selection, Decision Support System.

Abstract

Have been conducted a research of web based library information system development on-line at Darmajaya. At this time, Darmajaya`s Library has 4551 eks with 1993 titles, 86 eks Journal with 44 titles, 660 eks of final assignments,  186 eks of Skripsi and 443 eks of KP report, and this will be continued to increase along with the program of book levying coming from student. Donation and also form institution. At this time data of book`s catalogue at Darmajaya`s Library still using Microsoft Excel Application, and final assignment report data, skripsi, and KP report recorded at main book. This system, will have major influence with Darmajaya Library Services to members. With this Research Result can facilitate all library member to access the book information, Journal, KP report, Skripsi / Final Assigment, and GBPP through Internet. This Library Information System can improve Darmajaya Library services and represent one of place for the publication of scientific innovation / creation for all lecturer or student.

Abstract

Fuzzy logic is a branch of artificial intelligence to build expert systems. Fuzzy logic is often used as problem solver in a system that does not use numbers, but linguistics or unobvious variables. One of the implementation of fuzzy logic is decision making in determine the topic of final assignment, especially bachelor thesis. IBI Darmajaya has some study programs in the faculty of Computer Science. One of those study programs is Informatics Engineering. The study program of Informatics Engineering leads the students to the specialization of Web Development and Multimedia, Software Engineering, or Expert System for their bachelor thesis. During this time, the specialization that taken by students is not actually what they expert in or the grade they earn from each subject. Usually, students take the specialization because of many students take that field. As the result, they have difficulties to finish their bachelor thesis. This research uses Fuzzy Inference System of Mamdani with 12 input variables, 37 rules, and 3 thesis specializations. This research aims to generate a fuzzy system as a decision maker to determine the thesis specialization. Key words: Thesis Specialization, FIS-Mamdani
