Abstract

This study aims to analyze efficiency and revenue in soybean farming. In order to attain the objective, this study uses primary data that are collected from 72 soybean farmers taken purposively. Production factor analysis using Cobb Douglas production function to analyze factors that fect soybean production showed that Male Labor, Seeds and Land Area variables had positive effect; meanwhile, Women Labor had negative effect on soybean farming. Based on the analysis of soybean farming revenue in Garut district, farmers can still earn the cash revenue compared to the cash cost as much as Rp 2,027,455.92 and earn revenue from the total cost of Rp 968,474.41, with R/C ratio of 1:35 and 1:14. R/C ratio value indicates that soybean farming in Garut is still feasible and profitable when cultivated. Efficiency is obtained from a comparison between the Value of Marginal Product and Marginal Cost. The results showed that the production inputs in soybean farming are not yet efficient. MaleLabor and Manure should be reduced from 89.76 HOK; 591.04 Kg to 80.67 HOK; 115.52 Kg. In addition, Female Labor and Chemical Fertilizer should not be used since it causes more losses due to using these inputs. Pesticides, Seeds and Land Area inputs shall be increased from 709.70 ml; 77.27 Kg; 0.35 to 241.98 ml; 297.43 Kg; 9.77 Ha.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of ownership structure on firm performanceand GCG, the effect of on firm performance, and GCG as the mediating variable between ownership structure and firm performance. Ownership structure was proxy by public ownership. Firm performance was proxy by ROA and ROS. The sample was selected by using purposive sampling which included 43 observations from 20 companies listed in CGPI rating and listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during 2009-2011. By using Partial Least Square (PLS), the result of this research shows that (1) public ownership directly reduces performance as measured by using ROA and ROS as well as GCG; (2) GCG implementation doesn't improve ROA; yet, it increases ROS; (3) GCG is not able to mediate ownership structure toward firm performance as perceived from ROS measure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the co-integration relationship and causality relationship betweenmacroeconomic variables and IHSG in BEI (Indonesia Stock Exchange). Study's sample consists of 84 organizations which are taken from January 2005 to December 2011. The analysis technique is Vector Autoregression (VAR). The analysis result shows that there is a co-integration relationship between inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and stock index, but there is no similarity between the movement of theGDP, money supply, and stock index. In addition, there were no two-way causality between macroeconomic variables and stock index. The analysis shows that there are some one-way causality relationships between macroeconomic variables and stock index during the period of the study.

Abstract

The problem statements of this research were whether the factors of LAR, PAR, CCr, and ROI gave significant influence on aid fund repayment at BKM Maccini Salewangang PNPK Makassar, and which factor that influences the aid fund repayment dominantly. This research aims to analyze the role of LAR, PAR, CCr and ROI variables on aid fund repayment at BKM Maccini Salewangang, Makassar City as wellas to analyze the dominant variable which influences aid fund repayment at BKM Maccini Salewangang, Makassar City. The result reveals that the partial influence among LAR, PAR, CCr, and ROI variables on the aid fund repayment particularly at BKM Maccini Salewangang demonstrating that LAR and PAR variables give negative influence on the aid fund repayment as high LAR and PAR causes the aid fund repaymentbecome low. The result of the regression test indicates that the dominant variable which influences the aid fund repayment is ROI as the higher the ROI, results in more current aid fund repayment particularly at BKM Maccini Salewangang.

Abstract

Banks is an institution which its main activity is fund raising from society then revolves the fund for thepurpose of generating revenue. Therefore it is important for bank to maintain public trust because the business activity hardly relies on the public trust. This research aims to prove the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Net Interest Margin (NIM) toward Standard Deviation of Return on Asset (SDROA). The object of this research is the private generalforeign-exchange banks which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2007 - 2011. The analysis technique used is census as all of the population's members are involved as research sample. The samples are 20 private general foreign-exchange banks in Indonesia. The data are retrieved from the annual financial report from each bank's official website since 2007 to 2011. The analysis technique is multipleregression analysis. In addition, the data are secondary data. Thus, to determine the accuracy of model, it is important to test some classical assumptions underlined the regression model. During research period, it is found that the research data are normally distributed; it indicates that the available data have fulfilled the assumption to operate multiple linear regression method. The result of the hypothesis test reveals that CAR,NPL, LDR, NIM, and SIZE simultaneously and significantly affect SDROA. Among the four independent variables, only CAR, NPL, and NIM variables that have partial significant effect toward SDROA for go public general foreign-exchange banks.; thus, only LDR variable which does not bring significant effect toward SDROA.
