Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas hubungan kekerabatan bahasa Minang dan bahasa Sundadengan menggunakan teori linguistik bandingan historis dan leksikostatistik sebagaimetodenya. Leksikostatistik adalah metode yang digunakan untuk menemukanhubugan kekerabatan dua bahasa tau lebih. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah seratuskata bahasa Minang dan bahasa Sunda dengan 100 kata dari N. H Kern sebagai glossatau kata dasarnya. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah kosakatabahasa Minang dan bahasa Sunda yang sama semua fonemnya adalah 4 kata.Jumlah kosakata yang memiliki kemiripan leksikon secara fonetis antara bahasaminang dan bahasa Sunda adalah 34 terdiri atas kata-kata yang memiliki variasikonsonan berjumlah 18 kata, dan variasi vokal berjumlah 16 kata. Persentasehubungan kekerbatan antara bahasa Minang dan bahasa Sunda adalah 38%, hal itumenunjukkan bahwa tingkat kekerabatan bahasa Minang dan bahasa Sunda adapada tataran keluarga (family).

Abstract

This study aimed to clarify the effect of the method sugestopedia andhigh motivation and low motivation to learn the ability to write a short storySMA. The population was SMA. Sampling totaled 40 students conducted bypurposive sampling. Questionnaire used to see students' motivation andperformance tests conducted to determine the ability of students to writeshort stories. Analysis and discussion of the data is done in accordance withthe descriptive-analytical study concept experiments. Based on the results ofthe data analysis we can conclude the following four things. First, the abilityto write short stories that taught using methods suggestopedic better thanstudents taught by conventional methods. Second, the ability to write shortstories of students who have high motivation are taught using methodssuggestopedic better than that taught by conventional methods. Third, theability to write short stories of students who have low motivation are taughtusing methods suggestopedic better than that taught by conventionalmethods. Fourth, there is no interaction between learning motivation andlearning methods in affecting students' ability to write short stories.Keywords: method sugestopedia, learning and motivation, short story writing ability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis evaluatif butirsoal yang digunakan pada Ujian Sekolah Bidang Studi Bahasa Indonesia TingkatUnggul Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kota Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan teknik dokumentasi. Datapenelitian berupa instrumen soal dan lembar jawaban siswa, analisis data dilakukandengan menelaah butir soal secara kuantitatif berdasarkan tingkat validitas,reliabilitas, serta tingkat kesukaran soal, daya pembeda soal, dan tingkat pengecohsoal berdasarkan kekhususan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan soal belummemenuhi aspek validitas atau memiliki tingkat validitas rendah, tetapi tingkatkoefisien reliabilitas tinggi, tingkat kesukaran soal menunjukkan dominasi soal berkategori mudah pada sekolah teknik dan nonteknik, akan tetapi tingkat kesukaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh pengelompokkan sekolah berdasarkan rumpun teknik dan nonteknik, banyak soal berkategori mudah ini mengakibatkan tingkat daya pembeda soal rendah dan tingkat butir pengecoh kurang efektif. Dengan demikian penyusun soal US baiknya menyusun soal ujian sekolah dengan tingkat kesulitan soal lebih tinggi dengan mempertimbangkan kesesuaian rumpun sekolah.

Abstract

Kritik dapat diartikan sebagai penilaian terhadap suatu fenomena yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Kritik sastra feminisme merupakan salah satu ragam kritik sastra yangmemanfaatkan kerangka teori feminisme dalam menginterpretasi dan memberikanevaluasi terhadap karya sastra. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ilmiah ini untukmenuangkan gagsan penulis dalam perkembangan kritik sastra. Selain itu jugauntuk menambah karya tulis yang bisa bermanfaat bagi pembaca.Rumusan masalah dalam artikel ini yaitu; 1) untuk mengetahui ragam kritik sastrafeminim, 2) untuk mengetahui perkembangan kritik sastra feminis dalam karyasastra Indonesia, dan 3) untuk mengetahui perkembangan kritik sastra feminis darisudut pandang Islam.Gerakan feminisme mempunyai relevansi yang sangat erat dengan tulisan-tulisanperempuan. Kritik sastra feminis juga berupaya untuk melindungi penulis-penulisperempuan yang diabaikan dan berupaya untuk menginterpretasi kembali tulisan-tulisan wanita dalam perspektif yang berbeda. Kebebasan berekspresi yang dituangkan dalam sebuah tulisan oleh kaum wanita tetapi tetap harus menyadarikodratnya sebagai wanita.

Abstract

Skills of listening, speaking, and writing is a skill that must be dominated by theIndonesian students in learning at school. Mastery of language skills listening,speaking, and writing in school we aim to make the students to have the languageskills to be productive and receptive. The objectives will be achieved whenimplementing learning activities performed well, quality, and in accordance with theobjectives to be achieved. The purpose of this study is to provide tretmen (remedial)as well as appropriate follow-up to increase the ability of students who havedifficulty in learning the language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.This study uses a case study (case study). From the results of a study of samples ofunknown samples is difficult to concentrate in learning activities, still influenced bythe local language (mother tongue) under their control. It is also influential in hiswriting. In addition, samples were not yet have a basic material way the use ofpunctuation, capitalization, and conjunctions (conjunction).

Abstract

In foreign language context, English is taught mostly in classroom. Providing a lot of exposures should be considered by the teachers. Textbook is one of the way canbe used in the process of teaching-learning English. This study aims to investigatethe strategies used by the teacher when she or he choose an appropriate and idealtext book which is fit in with thr situation and condition of the student. To collectthe data, the researcher make same analysis to 20 books title “Kecil Kecil PunyaKarya” (KKPK) and make some interviews with the writer and the readers of thesebooks. The findings revealed that this book effective as a part of textbook we used inthe classroom. This study indicated that there some improvements of students`English ability in terms of quality such as effectiveness, content, vocabulary. Therespondents said that the love this textbook because the story is the reflection oftheir life. And it makes the interesting to read it. The research shows that KKPKinclude in the category of “appropriate” and “almost appropriate”, with the lowestpercentage 53,57 % dan the highest percentage 76,19%. So we can conclude thatteacher can use KKPK as one of the English textbook in the classroom.

After analyzing forms tomix code in lingual contact among local society with immigrant and visitor,therefore we can see how big immigrant influence and visitor to mix code and deeplingual contact.
