Jurnal Sosial Budaya ini merupakan media yang memuat kajian-kajian ilmiah dalam bentuk hasil riset dalam bidang ilmu sosial/humaniora, seperti pernaskahan, pranata-sosial dan sejarah untuk membangun dan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Tamaddun Melayu dalam kawasan regional Asia Tenggara. Jurnal Sosial Budaya diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Juli dan Desember yang berusaha menempatkan hasil penelitian para peneliti, akademisi, pemerhati dalam keilmuan terkait. Jurnal Sosial Budaya juga memberi perhatian bagi publikasi hasil penelitian interdisipliner berbagai pihak yang memiliki perhatian serius untuk merancang, dan merajut tatanan dunia baru Tamadun Melayu.

Abstract

Riau Malay manuscripts in the exact amount is not known except those stored in the museum, while the Malay manuscripts that saved by the people of Riau is predicted so much, it's just not known. It is important to note that in the Riau Malay manuscripts remain the property of the people of Riau. Lately, hunters Malay manuscripts from the neighboring country has managed to conserve the Malay manuscripts to be used in their collections. This situation needs attention because the manuscript was prone to lost or changed hands to outside parties. Actually, several agencies have been doing conservation in Riau Malay manuscripts by doing convention script, but convention that has been done was not received from the community owner or depositary because the rewards are not in accordance. This activity should be a concern of Local Government that aims to make Riau as a center of Malay culture. UIN Suska Riau as a partner in the field of education is responsible for human resources of the various aspects of science. Thus the Law no.43 of 2007 the law on Scripts should be understood and applied through study centers so socialized. Thus UIN Suska Riau can be a mediator even became a facilitator in manuscript conservation in Riau. In connection with this, then this paper attempts to examine the extent of UIN Suska Riau role in implementing the mandate contained in the legislation.

Abstract

The institutional Islamic education progress need an open system from superior to subordinate. The longer bureaucracy has to be passed in an education implementation cause the smaller effectiveness and efficiency achievement. Therefore in improving institutional Islamic education management is applied society based management and school based management. The society based management gives large chance for learning community also its general to form Islamic education purpose and education policy that multi-benefit. Thus school based management as a result from the autonomy law so that managers have authority to manage sources and human resources for achieving the objective of institutional Islamic education.

Abstract

Pacu Jalur tradition is an event that became the pride of the community of Kuantan Singingi. Each year the event was held and the people welcomed enthusiastically. It is marked on the height of the public who attend or watch the course of the race. In addition, winning this race is an honor for the people who have these lines. Spur track involves not only the physical elements, but also things that smells of magic. Shamans become one of the important elements to win the race. Therefore, it is necessary to do in-depth study of the magical element contained in track racing tradition. The study used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Information related to this study was obtained from key informants, namely: shaman path, artisan lane, children runway, track officials, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community leaders. The results found that magical element present in almost every process in the tradition of spur lines. The persistence of magical elements in this activity because people believe that the power of influence in winning the race

Abstract

The objective of this research was get an idea of a comprehensive and holistic understanding on the implementation and functions ofbaghandu song of the community of Siak Hulu   Kampar regency in the implementation of IPS in elementary education. This research used Qualitative method. Data was collected by observation, interview and documentation. It used snowball sampling. The subjects were the elders of suku Pandan, the humanists who work at Melayu traditional organization at Siak hulu Kampar regency, Rebana groups and teachers who teach at elementary school of Desa Kubang Jaya of Siak hulu Kampar regency. The research finding showed that (1) implementation of community singing baghandu Siak Hulu Kampar regency was originally done by mothers who euthanize the children, singing bagandu also be held on the aqiqah (2) the function of Baghandu songs are: (a) for the moral formation (b) for educational transformation (c) for identity formation (d) as a bastion of the influx of foreign cultures (3) the application of Baghandu songs: (a) the means for national identity formation (b) increasing the quality of history and social sciences or learning resources, (c) as a means of preservation of local cultural heritage, especially the local Malay culture Kampar.

Abstract

This study is intended to find problems of communication in missionary activities in taklim. Da'wah is an activity that can not be separated from communication activities. Even the missionary activities in the broadest sense is the communication itself. From the perspective of science "propaganda" and "communication" departing from efistemologi respectively, but the implementation side there is a meeting point, where propaganda can utilize communication theories to complement the theoretical need for development in the science of propaganda. At this level of study the problems of propaganda in taklim can be done from the perspective komunikasi. Penemuan theories about the problematics of communication in general be part of the problem of propaganda invention, communication problems in taklim, is also a problem of propaganda.

Abstract

Temeran's fishing communities are mostly muslims malay. Tameran village has considerable potential of marine resources, but its people are still poor. The main focus of the study is a comprehensive study of the factual situation and social conditions, population, diversity of ethnic and religious groups, educational profile, system and community structure, management and management. The results of this research can be known that the Tameran villager has human resources with a formal education is still low. The Malay population who work as fishermen in the village of Tameran shares 187 people, consisting of: boat owner 18 people (9,6%), cano owner 42 people (22,5%), owner of pond 3 people (1,6%), As a fisherman laborer there are 80 people (42,8%) and others/working assistant of fisherman 44 people (23,5%). The community structure shows the pattern of "Patron-Client" condensed relationship with the coating system of the community: rich-poor, owner, the worker/worker of the fisherman. While organizational and social institutions are associated with the basic needs of human life.

Abstract

This study wants to find answers about how the existence of stsudy of the yellow book (kitab kuning) at pesantren Darun Nahdhah, Darel Hikmah, and Babussalam within the scope of social change. In general, the three pesantren have responded positively to social change, to make changes and adjustments to the education system, including in order to maintain the tradition of the study of the yellow book. In other words, the identity of pesantren with yellow book still attached at their respective schools. However, its existence is different. Among them, there were made studies of yellow book as co curriculer, together with other curriculum, then there is also making it only limited additional or extra curricular activities.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik individual, perilaku komunikasi, nilai-nilai islam, aktivitas komunikasi untuk pencegahan kebakaran hutan dan lahan oleh Masyarakat Peduli Api di Bengkalis.Selanjutnya dipaparkan analisa perilaku komunikasi pada penangguhan api di Sepahat Bengkalis, dan menganalisasi dampak dari nilai-nilai islam pada aktivitas komunikasi untuk mencegah kebakaran hutan dan lahan di sepahat Bengkalis. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Sepahat Bukit Batu Bengkalis, dengan menggunakan pendekatan komunikasi dan konseling pada Komunitas Peduli Api. Total sampel 32 orang anggota Masyarakat Peduli Api. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan perilaku komunikasi terhadap aktivitas komunikasi untuk pencegahan kebakaran hutan bagi anggota MPA. Dan juga ada korelasi yang signifikan dengan nilai-nilai Islam dan aktivitas komunikasi untuk pencegahan kebakaran hutan bagi anggota MPA. Oleh karena itu perilaku komunikasi dan budidaya nilai-nilai Islam yang berkontribusi terhadap terbentuknya pola komunikasi pencegahan kebakaran hutan bagi anggota MPA di Desa Sepahat Bengkalis.
