Abstract

Bumiayu is one of the villages that has a community that is active in running Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM), one of which is UKM SE. Maju Jaya Banana Chips. This UKM has a problem of having a short shelf life because the oil draining is not optimal. In addition, the product of banana chips are limited to only salted banana chips and dry sale chips. Thus a spinner is needed to optimize the copying process and also product innovations such as chocolate, caramel and balado banana chips. Extension activities and demonstrations on the manufacture of various flavored chips and grinder machines are expected to help increase the income of these SE Maju Jaya. The target in this community service program is the presence of new products from SE Maju Jaya Banana Chips and prolong the self life of their product.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan karakteristik fisikokimia gelatin dari kulit ikan ayam-ayam. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dengan pra-perlakuan perendaman asam fosfat (konsentrasi: 0,2 M; 0,4 M; dan 0,6 M). Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa  perbedaan pra-perlakuan pada ekstraksi gelatin dari kulit ikan ayam-ayam melalui perendaman asam fosfat dengan konsentrasi 0,2 M, 0,4 M, dan 0,6 M memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada nilai rendemen, viskositas, kekuatan gel, titik gel, titik lelehn dan kadar lemak gelatin kuli ikan ayam-ayam. Sebaliknya, pra-perlakuan ekstraksi GKA dengan konsentrasi asam sitrat yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap nilai pH, kadar air, kadari protein, dan kadar abu dari gelatin kulit ikan ayam-ayam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the revolving fund institutional activities at UPK PNPM-MPd post program and to find out what are the obstacles and problems that arise in institutional management. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Researcher data collection uses several methods including: documentation, observation and interviews with actors and beneficiaries of revolving fund activities, including: administrators of BKAD, UPK, BP-UPK, Verification Team and Funding Team. The study was conducted at the Ex-PNPM-MPd UPK in Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency.

Abstract

Daun kelor memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang cukup lengkap dan banyak sifat fungsional yang berguna untuk meningkatkan status gizi, khususnya bagi anak-anak. Meskipun demikian, pemanfaatan daun kelor sebagai sumber bahan pangan yang dapat diolah menjadi beragam produk pangan yang menarik, bergizi tinggi dan murah masih sangat terbatas. Kreativitas dalam pengolahan pangan berbasis kelor diharapkan akan mampu menunjang kecukupan gizi bagi anak-anak. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan untuk pengolahan serta pemanfaatan daun kelor, diharapkan akan membantu ketercukupan gizi secara murah serta mendorong semangat berwirausaha melalui praktek pembuatan olahan pangan sederhana berbasis daun kelor, seperti biskuit, pudding dan es krim.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki banyak potensi dalam bidang wisata di setiap wilayahnya, salah satunya adalah Perkampungan Sumberwangi yang berada di Desa Donowarih, Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Salah satu elemen masyarakat Perkampungan Sumberwangi yang potensial dikembangkan adalah kelompok Karang Taruna, melalui kegiatan peningkatan ketrampilan berbasis potensi unggulan kampong Sumberwangi berupa ketrampilan produksi keripik umbi-umbian. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengembangkan potensi agrowisata perkampungan Sumberwangi melalui diklat (pendidikan dan Pelatihan) guna meningkatkan ketrampilan anggota Karang Taruna melalui pembuatan keripik umbi-umbian. Keripik yang diproduksi diantaranya keripik ubi kayu (singkong dan keripik talas (mbote). Target luaran yang telah dicapai adalah terbentuknya kelembagaan Karang Taruna Sumberwangi yang mampu mendukung program peningkatan keterampilan anggota dalam pengembangan ekonomi di Kampung Sumberwangi dalam hal produksi keripik umbi-umbian, serta meningkatnya jejaring kerjasama anggota Karang Taruna Sumberwangi dengan pihak luar, khususnya bidang pemasaran produk keripik yang dihasilkan oleh Karang Taruna Sumberwangi

Abstract

Tuban Regency is one of the regencies in East Java that has abundant natural resources, especially in the field of fisheries. Catfish are quite popular among the people in Tuban Regency, but when the stock surplus or harvest is high, the selling price of catfish at the level of the community of farmers has decreased and resulted in decreased profits. Based on these conditions, we are optimizing the processing of catfish in order to increase the value of the benefits obtained by diversifying processed catfish products in the form of smoked catfish. Smoked fish has higher value because it can preserve fish and give a distinctive taste to the product. The purpose of this empowerment study is to compare income between diversifying and selling in fresh form.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSabun memegang peranan penting dalam upaya menggalakkan budaya hidup bersih dan sehat pada masyarakat. Bahan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan sabun cukup sederhana dan banyak tersedia di pasaran dengan harga yang relatif murah. Proses pembuatan Sabun juga sangat sederhana, peralatan yang digunakan mudah ditemukan dan dapat diaplikasikan dalam produksi sekala kecil. Pondok Pesantren Ar-Rohmah putri merupakan pondok pesantren yang berada di Kabupaten Malang tepatnya di daerah Sumbersekar Kecamatan Dau.  Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan tentang konsep wirausaha dan proses pembuatan sabun. Evaluasi kegiatan oleh peserta juga menunjukkan hasil yang baik tentang kepuasan peserta dalam segala aspek dalam kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Embung Biting is a native habitat for freshwater fish for Cyprinidae, tilapia, catfish and other endemic fish species. Abundant of natural biological resources including supply of embung water from water sources are very important for meeting the community's water needs. In order to preserve the biological resources of ponds and as a source of fish nutrition for the people of Sukorame Village, it is necessary to be given an understanding to preserve the embung through the introduction of good and environmentally friendly methods of fish farming. This activity has been able to provide an understanding to the community of the importance of sustainability of the embung which is seen in the enthusiasm of the participants and the motivation of the participants to improve entrepreneurial skills in the field of fish farming as alternative livelihoods.

Abstract

Purification method on crude porang flour, using with multistage ethanol washing technique, resulted purified  porang flour which can be used for meatballs production. The objective of this paper was to deliver scientific knowledge on formulating meat ball ingredients as well as to demonstrate and to carry out a practical work on making  a meat balls using mixture gels of composite flour contained porang flour and k-carrageenan flour. The extensions process was conducted at a community family welfare organization (CFWO), Klangon Village, Saradan Distric, Madiun Region and Pandan Asri Community Village Forest Organization at Klangon Village, Saradan Distric, Madiun Region. Finally, the extension activities resulted deep awareness for a targeted people in maximixing the use of porang bulbs for food preparations and the product can be sold as processed food. This activity will support Local Government Wisdom as stated: “one village one product”.

Abstract

After a presentation of the management process of a grain silo, we present the necessity of the analysis and the identification of information in a grain silo wile using a strategic planning based on the OOPP method (Objectives Oriented Project Planning). This kind of analysis leads to an efficient management of the activities of grain silo. In fact, the OOPP method constitutes a tool of a global systemic modeling enabling to analyze a complex situation by a hierarchically decomposition until reaching an elementary level allowing to an operational planning.
