Abstract

Remote monitoring using high-frequency Wifi telemetry communications media is a solution that enables to benefits from data transfer speed, remote communication, data security system and uses less energy. This study aims to establish a telemetry communication system of integrated sensor networks for the volcanic geographic area with some advantages such as the physical parameters of a volcano conditions accurately in real-time and online, the higher transmission speed, easily duplicated, and the flexibility for additional high sensors as a part of the decision making to determine the volcano status. Wifi telemetry 2.4GHz offers a high data transfer speed, the current supported equipment or modules have been reached a speed of 100Mbps. Range coverage’s performed on this test reached a maximum distance of 2 km line of sight, the data in the form of sensor data and moving images. The visual data expected is not in fully real-time, because there are 5 seconds delays from the production time. To use a shorter delay in order to the image goes faster, the main processor of raspberry experienced some over heat, and then it is not suitable for a long-term continuous use.

Abstract

The exposure of high temperatures which exposed reinforced concrete beams will cause damage to the cement paste as a binding component of the materials and decrease the ability of the beam. The objective of the study is to identify the high temperatures effect which exposed reinforced concrete beams (10 x 15 x 100 cm), focusing on the bending stiffness, deflection and bending capacity. The tests were conducted in some temperature variations which are 400 ˚C, 600 ˚C and 800 ˚C with the heating concept based on the slow changes of surface temperature and the convective heat transfer, the normal beam specimens (27 ˚C) were also tested as control specimens. The results show that the bending capacity decreases as the heating temperature increases, followed by the decrease of bending stiffness and also the increase of deflection before the beam reaches the first yield, then there is an increase on the bending stiffness of the beam which have been exposed by high temperature at 400 ˚C after the first yield is reached.

Abstract

Bundaran Kecil intersection is close to Tambun Bungai intersection, so vehicle must stop at each intersection because it gets red signal. To reduce delay and queue, signal coordination is required. Primary data include vehicle volume, geometric intersection and roundabout, signal timing, saturation flow, and travel time. Method used are Indonesian highway capacity manual (IHCM) 1997 and saturation flow approach method. From analysis, on roundabout, degree of saturation at weaving DA (R. T. A. Milono street - G. Obos street) reached 0.901. On signalized intersection, average delay value is > 60 sec/pcu (LOS F). Best scenario is 8th scenario with cycle time of 90 seconds and has LOS D. Based on coordination diagram obtained offset of 40 seconds and bandwidth of 13 seconds.

Abstract

Unsignalized intersection at Jl. Kaliurang Km 13 -Jl.Besi Jongkang, Yogyakarta has traffic flow increased. Vehicles meet from various directions in the intersection and not equipped with traffic control resulting potential traffic conflicts that can eventually lead to an accident. A factor most causing the accident is speed. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of the speed towards the motorized safety at unsignalized intersection. Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT) is a method of predicting an accident by the conflict in intersection or road. This method requires some data such as vehicle speed (km/h) and a range of conflict (m) that can be obtained the time to accidents (S) which the conflict can be known to serious or non serious conflict. If a conflict included into the category of serious conflict, the conflict has a potential to cause an accident. Finally, TCT method results show that the unsignalized intersection at Jl. Kaliurang Km 13 -Jl. Besi Jongkang have 76.9% potencial of accidents with an average speed of serious conflict is 26.24 km/h. However, the range distance for conflict only 2.0-3.5 m so the potential of accident increased.

Abstract

Undisciplined and difficulty to find parking space are problems at El Tari Airport Kupang. The purpose of research to determine the capacity and demand of parking space and the effectiveness of parking services. The methods used include analysis of parking characteristics, linear regression, method of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results showed that the demand parking space for car at El Tari Airport in existing condition is already exceeding capacity, while for motorcycle still sufficient. For the next 5 years the demand of parking space is 573 parking spaces (SRP) for cars and 599 SRP for motorcycles. The relationship between parking space demand and the number of passengers are y = 1.463x - 6203.6 for car and y = 3.3449x - 14565 for motorcycles. For parking service performance with IPA method, there are 7 variables as the main priority improvement, that is the ability of the parking operator to direct the vehicle to the parking lot, arrange the traffic in the parking area, direct the driver in and out of the parking lot, supervision of parking offenders, parking attendant behavior on the driver, circulation arrangement and vehicle parking position expressed by parking signs and markings, and parking patterns in order.

Abstract

Implementation of road projects southern cross wawar - congot purworejo central java at week 27 is delayed. From 53.41% is only realized 12.82%. Fast track method, the program crashes, and what if is used to accelerate the implementation of delayed project. The purpose of this study is to determine the acceleration of implementation, to evaluate the effectiveness acceleration and to evaluate the implementation of road projects based on the control of time and cost. Time control and costs control shows sv 0.24 and cv value of 1.06, and it explains that the project is delayed, but the cost is less from the plan. Fast track method can accelerate 78 days, crash program method can accelerate 31 days, and what if method can accelerate to 7 days from prior to the acceleration, which is 110 days late. All three methods cannot speed up the project based on the plan. Fast track method is the method most quickly approaching the initial plan. Then combination of acceleration between fast track and a crash program produce total duration as scheduled. The conclusion is the combination of methods can restore the schedule according to the plan.
