Penggunaan model fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas pada sistem produksi citronella di Jawa Barat (sebagai tahap awal dari pengembangan model pembandingan ekonomi dari teknologi yang dipakai) menunjukkan bahwa sistem pfoduksi citrolella di Jawa Barat mempunyai hasil balik skala lebih besar dari satu. Abstract. The use of Cobb-Douglas production function on citronella production system in West Java (as preliminary stage of economic comparison model of the technology) showed that the return to scale of the system is larger than unity.

Abstract

Sari. Tiga puluh lima turunan benziliden-3 benzopirannon-4 telah disintesis dan diuji aktivitas anti inflamasi dan analgesiknya dengan menggunakan Acetosal, Fenilbutazon, Ketoprofen, serta Glafenin sebagai pembanding. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan empat senyawa (HD34, HD4, HD44, dan HD49) mempunyai aktivitas anti inflamasi dan analgesik lebih tinggi dari pada pembanding. Senyawa tersebut mempunyai harapan sebagai obat anti inflamasi dan analgesic yang baik meski pun mempunyai struktur yang agak berbeda dengan anti inflamasi non-steroid, roid, dan masih memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Abstract. Thirty five derivatives of benzylidene-3 benzopyranone-4 have been synthetized and its anti inflamation and analgesic activities examined using Acetosal, Phenylbutazon, Ketoprofen, and Glafenin as reference substances. The results show that four derivatives possess higher anti inflamation and analgesic activities compared to the reference. These four substances are promising anti inflamatory and analgesic drugs having different structure than the existing non steroidal anti inflamatory drugs, which should be further investigated.

Abstract

Sari. Hasil pengamatan fotoelektrik bintang standar dengan refraktor Bamberg, di Obseryatorium Boscha, Lembang, pada periode Juli 1982, memperlihatkan koefisien ekstingsi angkasa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan koefisien ekstingsi yang diperoleh pada bulan Juni Juli 1983. Koefisien ekstingsi adalah ukuran transparansi angkasa. Makin besar koefisien absorpsi makin rendah transparansi. Berkurangnya transparansi di tahun 1982 diduga karena penambahan partikel stratosfer, yang berasal dari sisa letusan Galunggung. Abstract. Observations of photoelectric standard stars with the Bamberg refractor of the Bosscha Observatory, in July 1982 revealed abnormally high atmospheric extinction coefficients, as compared to that obtained in July 1983. It is thought that the increase of extinction in July 1982, was caused by the increase in number of small particles in the stratrosphere, The particles were remnants from the eruption of Mount Galunggung (ca. 90 km south east of the Observatory) which erupted weeks earlier.

Abstract

Abstract. A study on the influence of alteration of water temperature on the respiration of a carp, Cyprinus carpio L. was performed. Oxygen consumption was measured by the continuous-flow technique. All fishes used in this experiment were acclimatized to 200C. It revealed that increasement of water temperature to 300C would caused the oxygen consumption of a fish to increase. Sari. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengaruh perubahan suhu air terhadap pernapasan ikan mas, Cyprinus carpio L. Pengukuran penggunaan oksigen dilakukan dengan teknik air mengalir. Ikan yang dipakai dalam percobaan ini diaklimatisasikan pada suhu 20'C. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan suhu air hingga 30'C menyebabkan pertambahan penggunaan oksigen pada ikan.

Abstract

Abstract. There are many methods to increase signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of seismic records in order to identify the interested signals, resolve them into their components and extract any valuable information relating the source mechanism the earth's structure in which the seismic wave travel, and other seismic wave properties. In this study N-th Root processing technique is applied on S-wave data recorded at the Warramunga Seismic Array (WRA) in Northern Australia. Besides signal enhancement, arrival identification and slowness measurement are also products of this processing. Sari. Ada beberapa cara untuk menaikkan angka perbandingan isyarat dan derau (S/N) pada rekaman gelombang seismic yang berguna dalam proses mencirikan isyarat, memisahkan kelompok gelombang dan menarik beberapa informasi penting yang berhubungan dengan mekanisme sumber, struktur dalam bumi yang dilalui gelombang dan beberapa sifat gelombang seismik. Pada penelitian ini dicoba digunakan teknik akar pangkat N pada data gelombang S yang terekam pada stasiun pengamat gempa Warramunga di Australia Utara. Selain perbaikan amplitudo isyarat dihasilkan juga pencirian gelombang dan pengukurang slowness (kebalikan kecepatan) oleh pengolahan data gelombang ini.

Abstract

Abstract. Four subspecies of Oncomelania hupensis, namely O.h.lindoensis, O.h.hupensis, O.h.nosophora and O.h.quadrasi were exposed to miracidia of four different geographical strains of Schistosoma japonicum, i.e.: the Chinese, Japanese, Philippine and lndonesian strains. Result of this experiments showed that O.h.lindoensis from Indonesia and O.h.hupensis from China found to be the most susceptible for all geographical strains of S.japonicum while O.h.quarasi from the Philippines was the most refractory and could only be infected with the Philippine strain. Sari. Empat subspecies Oncomelania hupensis: O.h. lindoensis, O.h. hupensis, O.h. nosophora, dan O.h. quadrasi telah dicoba diinfeksikan di dalam laboratorium dengan miracidia dan berbagai strain Schistosoma japonicum. Strain S. japonicum yang dipakai untuk menginfeksi keempat subspecies O. hupensis tersebut adalah strain Cina, Jepang, Filipina dan Indonesia sendiri. Hasil percobaan ini menunjukkan bahwa O.h. lindoensis dari Indonesia dan O.h. hupensis dari Cina ternyata paling tidak rentan dan hanya dapat diinfeksi oleh S. japonicum dari strain Filipina sendiri.

Abstract

Sari. Haloalkana dapat dibuat dengan berbagai cara. Pembuatan 1-haloalkana mendapat kesulitan baik dengan cara melalui raksi karbonium maupun reaksi radikal. Hal ini disebabkan karena baik dalam reaksi karbonium maupun reaksi radikal, radikal dan karbonium primer kurang stabil bila dibandingkan dengan yang sekunder maupun tertiernya. Dengan metode husdiecker pembuatan ini masih mungkin karena diantara tahap-tahap reaksi terdapat reaksi. Cristol dan Firth memodofikasi metode Husdiecker ini dengan menggunakan merkurioksida sebagai ganti perakoksida. Di dalam percobaan ini reaksi diikuti dengan memperhatikan gelembung-gelembung CO2 dalam "bubbler". Bila tidak terjadi lagi gelembung maka reaksi dianggap telah selesai. Hasil yang diperoleh hanya 27%. Di sini dibahas tahap-tahap reaksi yang bersaing dan yang menentukan hasil akhir. Abstract. Haloalkane can b e prepared by defferent methods. The preparation of 1-haloalkane, specially the long chained one, faces difficulties, through carbonium reaction as well as through radical reaction. This is because primary carbonium ions as well as primary radical intermediates are both less stable than the secondary and tertiary one. Using the Hunsdiecker method the preparation is still possible because among the reactions steps the following reaction occurs which practically goes to completion. Cristol and Firth modified this method by using mercurieoxide instead of silveroxjde. In this experiment mercurioxide is also used. The reaction is followed by observing CO2 bubbles in the bubbler. When there are no bubbles formed in the bubbler the reaction is assumed to be complete. The yield is only 27%. In this paper is discussed the competing reactions steps which determine the final yield.

Abstract

Abstract. In order to improve its drawability at room temperature, the large strain deformation behavior of a Cu-Zn-Al alloy with a two-phase α + β structure has been studied. Mechanical tests and quantitative metallography on wire specimens in different stages of the drawing process allowed to come to a better understanding of structure-property relationship. The relative deformation of the two phases has been found to depend on various factors such as the hardness difference between the two phases the drawing strain and the shape indices of the constituents. Sari. Sebuah panduan Cu-Zn-Al dengan struktur a+B, diuji tarik melalui proses "wire drawing" pada temperature kamar. Pengujian ini dimaksudkan untuk mempelajari dan sekaligus memperbaiki sifat "kemampuan tarik" dari panduan. Kawat hasil penatikan dingin ini kemudian diuji mekanik dan kuantitatis metallografi, untuk memperoleh suatu hubungan antara struktur-mikro dan sifat-sifat logam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan dari sifat deformasi antara fasa a dan fasa B tergantung pada faktor-faktor seperti, perbedaan kekerasan antara kedua fasa, besarnya regangan yang diberikan ketika proses penatikan dingin dan perubahan bentuk butir / struktur dari kedua fasa sebelum dan sesudah penarikan.

Abstract

Sari. Telah dilakukan penetapan kadar plasmatik dari senyawa p bifenil-4, okso-4, metil-2-butirat (F-1594) sebagai salah satu obat anti inflamasi dengan teknik kombinasi kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa. F-1594 dengan 'internal standar' p-bifenil 4-chloro 2' asetat diekstraksi dari plasma, dipisahkan melalui kromatografi gas yang dilengkapi dengan kolom kapiler kemudian dianalisa secara fragmentografi massa. Dengan menggunakan sedikit cuplikan, cara ini mampu mendeteksi suatu sediaan dengan konsentrasi yang sangat kecil. Abstract. The determination of p-biphenyl-4, oxo-4, methyl-2-butyric acid (F-1594) as an antiinflammatory agent in the human plasma by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is described. Quantitation was achieved after extraction from the plasma, F 1594 and p-biphenyl 4-chloro 2'-acetic acid as an internal standard, separated by gas chromatography with the capillary column and analysed by mass fragmentography. This process requires only a very little sample and it enables the detection of very low concentration.
