Abstract

Sari. Keragaman musim dalam aktivitas kambium pembuluh pada Swietenia macrophylla King telah diteliti mulai bulan Agustus 1983 sampai dengan Juli 1984. Di bulan Agustus aktivitas tersebut lambat dan di bulan September tampak sifat-sifat dorman. Setelah bulan-bulan kering itu aktivitas kambium kembali tampak di bulan Oktober saat curah hujan tinggi. Aktivitas terus berlangsung di bulan-bulan berikutnya dan mereda di bulan Maret. Aktivitas kambium paling tinggi berlangsung di bulan April sewaktu terjadi puncak kedua dalam curah hujan di musim hujan. Aktivitas yang tinggi ilu terjadi bersamaan dengan munculnya daun baru yang didahului oleh suatu periode gugur daun yang singkat. Aktivitas kambium mereda di bulan-bulan berikutnya. Abstract. Seasonal variation in the activity of the vascular cambium of Swietenian macrophylla King has been investigated from August 1983 to July 1984. Cambial activity is slow in August, and in September dormant features are seen. After the preceding dry months the cambium shows activity again in October when heavy rainfall occurs. The activity continues during the following months and slows down in March. The cambium is most active in April when a second peak of rainfall occurs in the rainy season. This grand activity of the cambium coincides with the emergence of a new crop of leaves which is preceded by a brief period of defoliation. Cambial activity slows down again in the following months.

Abstract

Abstract. PWM modulator with feedback analog is often used in a voltage/current control system, but sometimes problems arise in which the modulator could not be used with this method. To overcome this problem a programmed numeric PWM modulator is used. This paper discusses the working procedure and realization from the software and hardware point of yiew by using 8085 microprocessor. One of its application is to control the firing time of power switching transistor in a DC converter (BUCK) where the input BUCK is connected to the solar cell panel and the output side is connected to the battery. With time firing control of the power transistor, the power of the solar cell panel can be transferred to the battery at its maximum. Sari. Modulator PWM dengan umpan balik analog sering digunakan dalam sistem pengaturan tegangan/arus, tetapi kadang-kadang hal ini menimbulkan masalah, sehingga modulator dengan cara ini tidak dapat dipergunakan lagi. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasinya adalah dengan menggunakan modulator PWM numerik terprogram. Di sini diuraikan cara kerja dan realisasinya ditinjau dari piranti lunak dan piranti keras dengan menggunalan mikroprosessor 8085. Salah satu aplikasinya adalah pengaturan waktu penyalaan transistor daya switching pada suatu konverter arus searah (BUCK). Sisi masukan BUCK dihubungkan ke suatu panel sel surya dan sisi keluaran dihubungkan ke baterai. Dengan pengaturan waktu penyalaan transistor daya, maka daya dari panel sel surya dapat ditransfer semaksimum mungkin ke dalam baterai.

Abstract

Abstract. This paper describes the development of pitch control strategy for space craft possessing a Direct Broadcasting Satellite configuration which is assumed to consist of a main rigid body plus large flexible solar arrays. The bias momentum concept of the double gimballed reaction wheel is applied for generating the pitch control torques. It is found that the wheel acceleration/deceleration produces an undesired cross coupling in roll, yaw, and pitch axis, In order to minimize this coupling, the pitch control strategy is then constructed based on the Pontryagin's Maximum principle. For comparison the classical second order theory is also applied. It can be shown that the application of maximum principle results in a better control strategy. Sari. Tulisan ini menyajikan perancangan strategi kendali poros tukik suatu wahana antariksa yang memiliki konfigurasi Satelit Siaran Langsung yang terdiri dari badan utama kaku dan panel surya lentur berukuran besar. Konsep pengubahan momentum roda reaksi dua engsel diterapkan untuk membangkitkan torsi kendali poros tukik. Dalam analisis di sini ditemukan kopling silang (cross coupling) pada ketiga poros olah gerak wahana. Untuk memperkecil kopling tersebut, strategi kendali poros tukik dibangun berdasarkan prinsip maksimum dari Pontryagin. Sebagai pembanding, teori kendali klasik orde dua juga diterapkan. Di sini dapat ditunjukkan kelebihan prinsip maksimum Pontryagin.

Abstract

Sari. Badai tropis muncul di laut dengan temperatur permukaan lebih besar dari 26'C dan dikaitkan dengan thermal ridge. Tulisan ini membahasa dua badai tropis di belahan bumi selatan, yaitu badai tropis ERROL yang muncul pada 13 Januari 1982 kemudian menghilang pada 20 Januari 1982, dan badai tropis BRUNO yang muncul pada 15 Januari 1982 dan berkurang intensitasnya, kemudian menghilang pada 20 Januari 1982. Data klimatologis menunjukkan bahwa beberapa stasiun hujan di Indonesia bagian selatan ekuator yang terletak dekat dengan lintasan badai tropis mengalami kenaikan curah hujan antara 123% dan 355% dari harga curah normalnya. Di beberapa stasiun, kecepatan angin juga meningkat melebihi 20 knot selama periode badai tropis. Abstract. Tropical storms emerge in the oceans with surface temperature greater than 260C and the emergence of tropical storm is related to thermal ridge. This paper presents two tropical storms in the southern hemisphere i. e.: tropical storm ERROL emerged on January 13, 1982, then dissipated on January 20, 1982, and tropical storm BRUNO emerged on January 15, 1982 and it decreased in intensity, then dissipated on January 20, 1982. Climatological data have shown that some rainfall stations in Indonesia, south of the equator, which are located near the tropical storm track, showed an increase in rainfall ranging from 123% to 355% of its normal rainfall values. In some stations, wind speeds also increase beyond 20 knots during the tropical storm periods.

Sari. Tulisan ini menguraikan induksi embrio somatik dan pertumbuhan planlet yang dihasilkan dari kultur jaringan daun Coffea arabica. Untuk pembentukan kalus, potongan jaringan daun ditanam pada medium Linsmaier dan Skoog dengan 3% sukrosa ditambah berbagai konsentrasi 2,4-asam diklorofenoksi asetat atau asam naftalen asetat dan kinetin. Delapan belas minggu setelah penanaman, kalus akan dibentuk pada medium Linsmaier dan Skoog dengan 2 pM 2,4-asam diklorofenoksi asetat dan 5-7 pM kinetin dan juga pada medium dengan 0,05 pM asam naftalen asetat dan 6-8 pM kinetin. Pembentukan embrio somatic diperoleh dengan pemotongan kalus pada medium padat Linsmaier dan Skoog dengan 3 pM sampai 35 pM kinetin dan 0,05 pM asam indole butirat dan juga dalam medium cair Gamborg, Miller, dan Ojima yang diberi 0,05 pM sampai 2,5 pM 2,4-asam diklorofenoksi asetat. Abstract. Somatic embryo induction and subsequent plantlets development in culture of Coffea arabica leaf tissue explants was described. For callus formation leaf segments were grown on medium Linsmaier and Skoog with 3% sucrose and varying concentrations of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyaceticacid or Naphthalene Acetic Acid and Kinetin. Eighteen weeks after inoculation, callus will be formed on Linsmaier and Skoog's medium with 2 μM 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 5-7 μM Kinetin and also on medium with 0.05 μM Naphtalene Acetic Acid and 6-8 μM Kinetin. Somatic embryos are then formed by inoculation of calli segments on medium Linsmaier & Skoog with 3 μM to 35 μM Kinetin and 0.05 μM Indole Butyric Acid. Somatic embryos are also formed in liquid medium of Gamborg, Miller and Ojima supplemented with 0.05 μM to 2.5 μM 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.

Abstract

Penentuan kadar antidepresan amin trisiklik yang beredar di Indonesia (amitriptilin, nortriptilin, dan imipramin) dengan cara spektrofotodensitometri dilakukan terhadap tablet dan urin. Isolasi dari tablet dilakukan dengan methanol dan dari urin dengan eter. Cara ini sudah dicoba untuk menentukan kadar senyawa amin trisiklik dalam tablet dan urin sukarelawan setelah pemberian senyawa-senyawa ini dalam dosis tunggal. A spectrophotodensitometric method has been carried out for the determination of tricylic amine antidepressants available in lndonesia (amitriptyline, nortriptyline and imipramine) in tablets and urine. Isolation was done by methanol from tablets and by ether from urine. The method has been applied for examinations of tricyclic amine compounds in tablets as well as in urine of volunteers receiving a single dose of the compounds.

Sari. Suatu penyelidikan dilakukan terhadap pasangan roda gigi miring yang memiliki spesifikasi sebagai berikut: totaI contact ratio lebih besar dari 2,0 dan overlap ratio lebih kecil dari 1,0. Dalam penyelidikan ini dibuat suatur set up percobaan untuk mengukur pengaruh kesalahan pemasangan poros roda gigi terhadap karakteristik getaran maupun regangan yang terjadi pada roga gigi miring tersebut. Besaran yang diukur mencakup percepatan akselerasi getaran, regangan pada akar gigi, dan dilakukan pula analisa frekuensi terhadap sinyal getaran tersebut. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesalahan pemasangan yang tertentu memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap karakteristik getaran maupun pola regangan pada roda gigi miring tersebut. Kesalahan deviasi poros maupun inklinasi poros yang sama besar, yang terjadi pada sisi depan dan pada sisi belakangan roda gigi, ternyata menghasilkan karakteristik getaran maupun harga regangan yang berbeda. Abstract. A pair of helical gears with the following specifications: (1) the total contact ratio of more than 2.0, and (2) the overlap ratio of less than 1.0, has been investigated to determine the relationship of the gears shaft alignment errors with the vibration characteristic, and with the tooth strains as well. For this purpose an experimental set up has been made available to measure the acceleration level, tooth root strains, and to carry out frequency analysis of the gear vibration signals. It was found that at a certain level of gears shaft alignment errors the characteristic of gear vibration were strongly affected by errors. The results demonstrated that for the same amount of error, the gear shaft deviation and gear shaft inclination applied at different sides, i.e., at gear leading side and at gear trailing side, produced different gear vibration characteristics as well as tooth strain values.

Abstract. The most important phase of cartographic processes is the selection of map symbols for data presentations, since the effectiveness of maps as a medium of communication depends on this selection. A great variety of map symbols can be chosen. This study shows how to utilize symbols in solving a typical problem of a map showing distribution.Sari. Salah satu tahap yang paling menentukan dalam proses kartografi adalah pemilihan simbol untuk memetakan data. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kenyataan bahwa symbol itu banyak sekali macamnya. Manfaat peta sebagai media komunikasi akan sangat terasa bila symbol yang dipilih tepat atau cocok dengan maksud serta tujuan pembuatan peta tadi. Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana cara memilih serta menggunakan symbol untuk suatu persoalan, khususnya yang menyangkut masalah distribusi.

Abstract

Abstract. Manganese nitride, Mn4N has been investigated by means of unpolarized as well as polarized neutron diffraction technique. It was found that both (100) and (110) reflections of this compound could produce almost 100% polarized, monochromatic neutrons. Furthermore, the two reflections provide opposite senses of polarization. While (100) reflects neutrons with spins aligned opposite to the magnetization, (110) reflection provides neutrons with spins parallel to the magnetization. This would offer possibility of producing polarized, monochromatic neutrons of either state of polarization by switching from one reflection to the other, without the use of electronic flipping devices. Sari. Nitrida mangan, Mn4N telah diteliti dengan teknik difraksi neutron tak-terpolarisasi maupun terpolarisasi. Ternyata kedua refleksi, (100) dan (110), dapat menghasilkan hampir 100% neutron terpolarisasi serta monokromatik. Lebih lanjut diketahui bahwa kedua refleksi tersebut menghasilkan polarisasi yang berlawanan arah. Refleksi (100) hanya memantulkan neutron dengan polarisasi yang berlawanan arah dengan magnetisasi, sedangkan refleksi (110) menghasilkan neutron dengan polarisasi searah dengan magnetisasi. Hal ini membuka kemungkinan untuk memproduksi neutron monokromatik dengan salah satu keadaan polarisasi, dengan cara berpindah dari suatu refleksi ke refleksi lainnya tanpa menggunakan alat elektronik.

Abstract

Sari. Basazinon 45/30 EC dengan dosis 22 mg/kg b.b. telah diberikan secara oral (gavage) setiap hari kepada mencit hamil pada umur kehamilan 5 hari sampai dengan hari ke 21 pascalahir (saat disapih). Pengamatan di lakukan terhadap berbagai ciri perkembangan fisik dan seksual, serta kemampuan reproduksi mencit generasi F1. Berat badan rata-rata anak mencit selama menyusu dan minggu pertama sesudah disapih ternyata kurang (p< 0,05 dan p<0,01) dari pada anak mencit kelompok kontrol, sedangkan berat badan rata-rata pada saat dilahirkan tidak ada perbedaan. Kemampuan refleks untuk membalikkan tubuh dan telentang menjadi tertelungkup, desendensi testis untuk pertama kali dan terjadinya estrus yang pertama pada kelompok perlakuan didapat pada umur yang lebih lanjut (p < 0,5 dan p < 0,01). Tidak terjadi kelainan yang nyata dalam hal kemampuan reproduksi dan ciri-ciri perkembangan lainnya pada kelompok perlakuan. Abstract. Basazinon 45/30 EC of 22 mg/kg b.w. were administered daily by gavage to pregnant mice on day 15 of gestation to the day of weaning (21 days old). Several physical and sexual developmental criteria and the reproductive ability of the F1 generation were observed. The mean body weight of the young during the period of lactation and the first week after weaning were significantly lighter (p < 0.05 and p < 0.01) than that of the controls, while the mean birth weight were not different. The reflex ability in turning the body from supine to prone position, the first testicle descent and the first estrous, occured significantly later in experimental young (p < 0.05 and p < 0.01). No significant deviation in the reproductive ability and other developmental criteria were found.
