Abstract

The purpose of this Research is to know sand quality and exploiting go out to sea as smooth aggregate for a concrete mixture asphalt. Where to determine made by optimum asphalt content 5 object test with asphalt rate variation, that are 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% and 7%. After obtaining optimum asphalt content value that is 6,4% hereinafter will be made by object test by using optimum asphalt rate. Sand condition to be used by is the condition of sea sand influenced by up and down of water sea, condition of sea sand which do not influenced by up and down of water sea, Sand condition influenced by up and down of water sea which have washed out. For three conditions of the sand tested by Marshall (measuring tool) with time variation of submersion that is 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours and 24 hours. The obtained data is the condition of sea sand that influenced by up and down of sea, do not fulfill the specification of discharge, where sand discharge go out to sea above 4,5 mm.

Abstract

Using of charcoal dust of coconut shell in asphalt concrete mixture has been researched with some variations of number of blow to characteristic of asphalt concrete mixture type III.The aim of this research is to know characteristic of asphalt concrete mixture of type III which using charcoal dust of coconut shell with vary number of blow.Scenarios of variation of number of blow were twice of 75, twice of 100, twice of 200, and twice of 250 of blows. Scenarious of variation of charcoal dust of coconut shell content were 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%.Results of research showed that performance of stability, flow and durability of asphalt concrete mixture type III increase at using 2 % of charcoal dust of coconut shell with twice of 75 of blows. The more number of blows at asphalt concrete mixture of type III, tend to increase MQ value of asphalt concrete mixture for both with or without charcoal dust of coconut shell; which meant asphalt more stiff and tend to brittle, which it finally crash easily. The more number of blows and the higher percentage of charcoal dust of coconut shell in making specimen can decrease characteristic of durability of asphalt concrete.

Abstract

Regional river of Watutela Wuno which is located in Palu and Donggala Regency in Central Sulawesi represent the valley area encircled by mountain with many river emit a stream of among other things later on have estuary to Palu river. The river is very potential developed as water resource to fulfill amount of water required of resident especially at dry season by developing a dam. This study is to know the potential river or location to be made dam location to fulfilling amount of water required resident, livestock and garden and also know the amount water availability at the river. Method used by data collecting from related institution, survey field and analyze the condition of location of candidate dam and also test the sensitivity to determine the development priority. From the analysis got that Ngia dam in Ngatabaru village most important to can be developed with the consideration of various aspects.

Abstract

This research aims to predict wave length, velocity, energy and fluks energy of wave, longshore current,tidal wave at shoreline beach of gulf tomini. The wave caused by wind can be predicting by wilson formula.Orientation of wave from north (58%) and from NW (47%) caused by the wind that happen in august todecember with velocity 9,3 – 10,9 m/s. Another parameters of wave i.e : High wave ranging from 1,59 m to2,02 m, wave length between 42 m and 51 m, their period is 5,17 S – 5,71 S. Longshore current = 0,074 m/swith 1,7259 m high of wave at breaker zone in 2,213 m deep. This value contribute to ratio (h/H) is 1,282.According velocity wave give fluks energy 3773 to 6038 Joule/m2. Influks sediment in beach 3,04 to 6,43m3/hour.

Abstract

The main problem in designing construction structure on soft soil is a considerable large deformation, therefore in this research light material is used that is styrofoam concrete to replace landfill in raft footing so the deformation can be reduced. The percentage styrofoam used in concrete miixture are 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%, then the deformation form caused by construction weight is analysed using Plaxis sofware version 7.0 with soil model Mohr-Coulomb at three soil water surface condition, they are in very deep water surface, in foundation base and on soil surface. The research result shows that the large the total construction weight, the larger vertical and horisontal movements happened. For styrofoam concrete with the percentage of styrofoam 100% the vertical movement is the opposite direction with other material-fills, because the total weight of construction is lesser than excavated soil weight at 2,45 meter deep.
