Analisa (ISSN 1410-4350, e-ISSN 2443-3853) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Office of Religious Research and Development Ministry of Religious Affairs Semarang Indonesia. It specializes in these three aspects; religious life, religious education, religious text and heritage.
Analisa has been accredited by the Indonesian Institute of Science (SK Kepala LIPI Number 501/I/Akred/P2MI-LIPI/08/2012).
Analisa has been published twice a year in Indonesian since 1996 and started from 2016 Analisa will be fully published in English as a preparation to be an international journal.

This research focused on the congregation of the Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah in Piji, Dawe, Kudus, particularly on how they make any effort to make their potentials of religious observance can maximally grow. In order to find out their efforts, the writer applied participatory observation and was involved in their daily lives. The data were then organized in certain way according to the theme previously deter- mined. In order to achieve the maximum of religious observance which they call as wuṣūl dan wilāyah, the congregation of Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah use a series of rituals namely baiat (allegiance), zikir (remembrance), khataman ratib (complet- ing ratib), muraqabah, khalwat (seclusion), fida’, manaqib, and performing pilgrim- age to the grave of wali (muslim saints).

This research aims to measure the effect of implementation of religious education at the high school under the religious foundations toward religious behavior student in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Province. There are five aspect of behaviour that measured include religiosity, honesty, tolerance, love peace and social concerns. Formulation of the problems in this study are (1) are there any effect of the implementation of religious education for student of religious behavior (2) How is the implementation of religious education as ap- plied to schools under the Religious foundations. (3) how the implementation of the ideal model of religious education at the high school under thereligious foundations. By using the mixed methods analysis this research found three findings: (1) there is influence of religion on the behavior of the implementation of religious education for learners. (2) religious education at high school under the Religious foundations in Kupang East Nusa Tenggara have implemented five aspects measured in the subjects of religious education. (3) there are three models of a good education: an evaluation of the cognitive, affective and psychomotor, strengthening the practice, and establising communication with inte- gral outsiders .

The Fikih Manhaji, written by Musthafa al-Khani and taught in some pesantrensin Indonesia, is regarded as a modern fiqh book. This writing is based upon a study of the book which uses qualitative method and descriptiveanalitical analysis. Although the Fikih Manhaji contains of three volumes, this study, however, is only focusing on the chapter of al-ghuslu (bathing) which is discussed in the first volume. Al-ghuslu is divided into two categories: mandi wajib (a must/obligatory bathing) and mandi sunnah (recommended bathing). In addition to giving the definition of the two groups, the book also discusses some examples of each category.

Kajian dampak sertifikasi guru terhadap kompetensi perlu terus dilakukan, termasuk kajian terhadap guru mata pelajaran PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) di Madrasah Tsanawiah. Salah satu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kompetensi guru PAI MTs yang berstatus tersertifikasi dan guru PAI MTs yang belum tersertifikasi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis Anova dua jalur. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru PAI MTs negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Banjar Kalimantan Selatan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih secara random dengan teknik strata berjumlah 60 orang guru PAI dan untuk sampel siswa sebanyak 120. Salah satu hasil enelitian adalah diketahui terdapat perbedaan kompetensi guru PAI yang tersertifikasi dan kompetensi guru PAI yang belum tersertifikasi. Hasil analisis lanjut diketahui bahwa kompetensi guru PAI yang belum tersertifikasi lebih baik daripada kompetensi guru PAI yang sudah tersertifikasi

In the reform era, there are interesting developments regarding the trend of parental choice of education in Indonesia, when the Middle-class Muslim more interested send their children to schools based on strong basic religious (Islamic). This study aims to answer the question why Islamic Primary School attracted many parents of Middle-class Muslim? The method of data collection is done by indepth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results showed that the preferences of parents in educating their children in SDIT is influenced by the three factors, namely; theological, sociological, and academic factors. Theological factors are reasons based on considerations of religion. Sociological factors associated with increasing image of Islamic schools. Academic factors related to the ability SDIT in achieving high academic achievement for their students. The position of the teacher as a murabby (moral guide) into the carrying capacity of the school principal. Murabby position makes the relationship between teacher and student is not merely a formal relationship in school, but as the relationship between parent and a child at home as well. Therefore, the future development of primary schools need to consider the quality of religious education in order to attract parental choice of education of the Middle-class Muslim.

The Presence of Jehovah’s Witnesses which has contradictory concepts has harassed mostly Christian people, but it attracts many people to join this group. Even nowadays this denomination has a significant progress in number of population. This research is aimed to find the answer of the above problem and to describe about whether Jehovah’s Witnesses as a Christian denomination or religious sect in which its existence are opposed by Christian community in general. Subject of this research is focused on Jehovah’s Witnesses in Yogyakarta. This Christian denomination becomes an international religious movement and has been assured in the 1945 Constitution as well as gets recognition from the government as a religious organization who has equal rights. In Yogyakarta, this group is also accepted; this is a picture of Yogyakarta as a multicultural city, and a town with high tolerance. In contrast, other Christian’s denominations have rejected this sect because it has different basic theology. The emergence of new denominations is caused by the absence of limitation in this open room. Therefore, it needs a “re-thinking” whether to leave this phenomenon free or to create a rule to control this situation so as to create harmony in managing religious life.

This research aims to evaluated the religions teachers performance at Aliya Madrasa after attending training functional programs which managed by Balai Diklat Keagamaan on province of West Nusa Tenggara. This research important to do to seeing the change of religion teacher performance on Aliya Madrasa whether increase or decrease after attending training functional program. By using analysis of context, input, process, product (CIPP) this study had 4 findings, there are: (1) In pedagogic competency, personality, social and professional, the performances of religion teachers in Aliya Madrasa after attending training functional programs were include into fairly category. However in competition achivement the religion teacher is under expectation. (2) Performance of the religion teacher in Aliya Madrasa after attending training functional programs give positive impact on students achievement. 3) The facilities of school like management, regulation and commitment of principal of Aliya Madrasa give positive impact to teacher performance, whereas support facilities in Aliya Madrasa is not support the increasing of religion teacher performance. (4) The Religion teachers performance after participated training functional programs gave positive impact to other teachers.

Democracy has been understood differently. Law no.1/PNPS/1965 whichis previously recognized as protection of religious followers is recognized aslimitation that denied principle of democracy recently. The polemic of religiousfreedom ended with proposal of judicial review on law no.1/PNPS/1965 proposedby some group of societies. This proposal, finally, is rejected by primecourt. This rejection can be corrected since UUD 1945 follows an expressiverelativism on religious freedom. Because of the existence of ambiguous wordsin such law, revision is really needed so that there will be a clear explanationrelated to who has the authority to determine whether certain religious teachingis wrong or not. The purpose of this study is to investigate the development and the implementationof religious education curriculum developed by senior high schools (SMA) under religious foundations. This is a case study of SMA Muhammadiyah I Palangkaraya. Research design applied in this study is Stufflebeam’s CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). The results how:1) SMA Muhammadiyah I Palangkaraya develops not only curriculum designed by Ministry of National Education but also local religious education one (curriculum developed by the foundation of Muhammadiyah); the way the school develops the curriculum can also be considered as especial because it provides its nonmuslims students facilities for learning their religious teachings, 2) some supporting factors are the participation of the foundation, the principal, and the school committee in the curriculum implementation, and 3) the obstacle of the curriculum implementation is the absence of a particular place such as laboratory for religious education.

This article concerns on how Kompas and Republika framed terrorism news and how they construct a religion (Islam) in those terrorism news. The way of the media exposing and selecting the facts to be published in their newspaper is an important aspect to be studied. This is because each media has its own inclination. Data was gathered using library research. Then, those collected data were analyzed using framing analysis and constructivism perspective. The results show that Kompas and Republika clearly said that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and the terrorists have relationship with the International radical group like JI and Al-Qaeda. On the other hand, both newspapers have a slight difference in exposing the relationship between terrorists and pesantren. Republika said that those terrorists were not connected with pesantren. Meanwhile Kompas exposed the pro and contra about this matter. In addition, both media have trivial differences in reporting about dakwah prohibition.
