Abstract

This study is based on reality in quite a number of students who have been married STAIN Pekalongan. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors underlying the marriage occurred among students STAIN Pekalongan and wanted to know if there is a difference between the academic achievement of students before and after marriage. Randomly selected sample of students who had been married STAIN. Method of data analysis is to use factor analysis and paired sample t test. The results showed, of 17 factors (variables) are proposed, elected to 12 significant factors underlying the decision to get married students. Furthermore the factors of 12 are four main factors (principal component) is formed as follows: (a) Religion and Mass Media with variables: eager to have offspring (children) (0.532), Worry be a spinster / exposed disgrace (0,529), unceasing information about sex from Mass Media (0.773), Effect of television shows (0.865), Effect of pornography (0.836), (b) interests in Business, with a variable: For the purpose of smooth business (0.969), to strengthen business networks (0.949), (c ) Economics and culture, with a variable: For the solution of economic problems (0.540), Effect of culture/ tradition (0,692), Ready to build lives of Household (-0.851), (d) Social, with variables: Fear happen adultery (0,700), Already work (0.755). Results of statistical analysis paired t test showed no significant difference between the academic achievement before she married after marriage. This is evident based on the t test produces p-value (probability value) of 0.761 (more than 0,05).

Abstract

The aim for this research are : 1) increasing the learning independency students, 2) increasing the ability of communication of learning SQ3R Mathematic. SQ3R Learning consist of surveying question, read, recite and review. The subject of this research is student who take Diskrit Mathematic course. This procedure of the research are : (1) Preparing (2) Do (3) Observation and (4) Reflection. Based of the result of this research shows that there is increasing student in how to comunicate of learning mathematic with SQ3R. Especially in The second meeting there is high increasing in their ability and we can say that the ability of student comunication in learning mathematic is quite good. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa, 2) meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi pembelajaran SQ3R Matematika. SQ3R Belajar terdiri dari survei pertanyaan, membaca, melafalkan dan meninjau. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil kursus Matematika diskrit di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Prosedur ini dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mempersiapkan (2) Melaksanakan (3) Observasi, dan (4) Refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan mahasiswa dalam cara berkomunikasi belajar matematika dengan SQ3R. Terutama di pertemuan kedua ada peningkatan tinggi dalam kemampuan mereka dan dapat disimpulkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa dalam belajar matematika cukup baik. Abstract

Multicultural education may be one strategy to introduce the local culture to the learner so that an understanding of cultural diversity to be more thorough and complete. West Kalimantan is an area that is very sensitive to the ethnic conflict, the issue of cultural differences generated by different ethnic interests was used as a tool to exacerbate that conflict often occurs in West Kalimantan. Looking at the situation that the approach by leveraging cultural diversity can inclusivity views of learners and learning with the modernization of systems and contextual environment. So that conflicts can be mitigated through education, of course, the role of teachers and lecturers are also key to the success.

Abstract

Student needs a help service study that gets to help increase their studying achievement. The research was aimed to: (1) valid student work sheet with reading basis of quadrangle by using CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) method; (2) measure the effectiveness of the learning material which used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using circ method; (3) describing practicality by used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC. This type of research used model of 4-D which consisted of the phase of preliminary investigation, the phase of define, design, develop, and disseminate. But, in this reaserch just until phase of develop. It has also been developed student worksheet. The subjects of the research were the seventh graders, with Clutser Sampling, gotten two classes which is the experiment class and control class. The research data were collected from (1) validation sheet; (2) Observation sheet; (3) questionnaire, and (4) the test. The results showed (1) student work sheet developed have been declared valid by the validator with an average score of 3,4 from supreme scores 4, (2) teacher ability observation result gotten 3,6 of supreme scores 4 and student response are gotten 87% one mean developed tool practical; (3) result from experiment showed the average achievement of those trial class which performed better than those of control class. Base explanation upon, concluded that the development of student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC accomplishes valid tools, practical purpose and effective learning. So, Development student work sheet be reached.

Abstract

Film is entertainment for people who are able to penetrate the social class boundaries. The ability to reach various segments of the film class, film making has the potential to affect masyarakt audience. Strategic value of the film not only serves as entertainment, the film has the potential as a medium of education, which can effectively communicate educational messages, and even be able to influence a person's behavior. This is the one of the spirit for student filmmakers in Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap and Banjarnegara continues to be creative by producing indie films. Film is the medium for the message menyampaiakn, storytelling and expression. As with any work of literature (novels, short stories, drama, theater), in the film there is also a story, the scene, dialogue, scene, conflict, character, character, and setting. One of the benefits is being able to visualize movie various human characters so that it can easily intervene or influence the minds of the audience. This is where the potential effectiveness of the film in instilling moral values as part of the educational aspect of the nation's character.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) increase the involvement of students in learning activities proceed on Population Problems materials and Abatement Efforts through learning techniques OVAL-ET, 2) improving student learning outcomes in social studies learning through techniques OVAL-ET, and 3 ) determine students responses to the application of learning to OVAL-ET techniques in social studies for VIII A grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Rawalo in the first semester in the Academic Year 2010/2011. Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data about their interests, and the assessment for learning social studies, while the observations are used to collect data about student involvement in various aktvitas proceed to learn both in the classroom and outside the classroom, and learning logs are used to determine students responses to the application of engineering OVAL-ET in teaching social studies. Based on the data from this study concluded Technique "OVAL-ET" to proceed to increase the involvement of students in learning activities and student achievement. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) meningkatkan keterlibatan berproses siswa dalam aktivitas belajar pada materi Permasalahan Kependudukan dan Upaya-Upaya Penanggulangannya melalui pembelajaran dengan teknik OVAL-ET; 2) meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS melalui pembelajaran dengan teknik OVAL-ET; dan 3) mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran dengan teknik OVAL-ET pada mata pelajaran IPS bagi siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Rawalo pada semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011. Angket dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang minat, dan penilaian pembelajaran IPS selama ini, sedangkan observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang keterlibatan berproses siswa dalam berbagai aktvitas belajar baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas, dan learning logs digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan teknik OVAL-ET dalam pembelajaran IPS. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan Teknik “OVAL-ET” dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan berproses siswa dalam berbagai aktivitas belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa. Abstract

This article presented the depiction of psychological and physical violence by communists and Dutch colonies which were found in the novel of Tembang Ilalang. Such a physical violence happened to the main characters (protagonists) in terms of political force in the forms of striking, kicking, torturing, imprisoning, even the threat of killing. At the same time, the psychological violence was also appearing with the case that some people (the antagonists) had given harsh words and verbal abuse directed at Asroel as the protagonist in terms of having different ideology. Beside that his family and relatives were also sentenced to prison with some torturous experience, such a psychological violence made him suffer mentally a lot. According to Galtung’s point of view, those kinds of violence can be classified into direct violence and indirect one. The person who got direct violence would directly suffer from physical and mental violence as the result of ill treatment given to him, whereas indirect violence would effect the person indirectly with the feeling of sadness, loneliness and mournfulness as the result of ill treatment given to his family or relatives. Such a bad and sad experience during Asroel’s struggle for nation’s freedom can also be found in the real life of our community.
