Abstract

Lack of interest in learning inverse matrix mathematics causes a lack of interest in learning mathematics and produces unsatisfactory results. Researchers tried to conduct experimental research on the application of the Index Card Match learning model to mathematics learning outcomes in Inverse Matrix material at SMA Negeri 21 Makassar. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest Posttest design. The data collection techniques used are tests, observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses the normality test and the Simple Paired T-Test hypothesis test. The results of this research were hypothesis testing on the pretest and posttest which obtained results of 0.000 < 0.05. H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. From these results, it means that the application of the Index Card Match model has an influence on cognitive mathematics learning outcomes in inverse matrix material for class XI students at SMA Negeri 21 Makassar..

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students in solving problems based on personality type using personality type instruments, problem solving, and interviews. The research results show: (1) understanding the problem, the Guardian wrote down sufficient and necessary conditions; (2) make a solution plan, the subject is able to determine the information to solve the problem; (3) in carrying out the plan, the subject worked on the questions according to the steps but not precisely. (1) understand the problem, the idealist subject only writes down what is asked; (2) make a solution plan, the subject is able to determine the formula; (3) carrying out the plan, the subject uses a formula that has been prepared previously, even though the calculation is wrong. (1) understand the problem, Artisan type subjects write down all available information very clearly; (2) make a solution plan, the subject determines the formula. (3) carrying out the problem solving plan, the subject is able to solve the problem. (1) understanding the problem, the rational type subject does not write down sufficient and necessary conditions; (2) make a solution plan, the subject is able to determine the steps to solve it; (3) carry out problem solving plans, be skilled in algorithms and accurately answer questions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the factors and the influence of conceptual errors in solving problems in the form of story problems based on newman procedures in terms of mathematical disposition. This research uses a mixed method. The population of this study were seventh-grade students of MTs LAB Al Washliyah Medan with a total of 133 students. The sample was selected by purposive sampling, 30 students for quantitative data and 3 students for qualitative data. Qualitative data analysis methods involve the process of reducing, conveying and verifying data. Meanwhile, quantitative data uses hypothesis testing stages using factor analysis tests, simple linear regression and F tests. The results of qualitative data research show that conceptual errors in solving problems in the form of story problems based on Newman procedures are in line with the criteria for students' mathematical disposition. Quantitative data shows that there is only one factor formed and there is a significant influence between mathematical disposition and concept errors in solving story problems based on newman.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a mathematical science that continues to grow and develop, because cultural influences make learning mathematics no longer boring. Ethnomathematics has become a trend in the field of educational culture, apart from that, ethnomathematics also preserves the existence of cultural values in the future. This research aims to describe the exploration of the decorative variety of Malay deli. In Malay Deli culture there are knick-knacks as Malay Deli decorations, such as tepak betel, balai, and pending. The results of this research showed that mathematical concepts were found in the Malay Deli Decorative Variety. This means that Tepak Sirih, Balai, and Pending can be used as teaching aids in mathematics learning. The mathematical concepts contained in this research are the concept of flat shapes and spatial shapes, namely trapezoids on tepak betel and balai, rectangles on tepak betel, balai, as well as pockets on the kekak musang shirt, circles on the circumference of the head for climbers, as well as the concept of prisms. with an isosceles trapezoid base on the betel palm.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' perception of their mathematics classroom learning environments in class VIII of SMP IT Ar-Rahmah after implementing the STEAM Project. The type of research is a mixed method. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) the student mathematics learning outcomes are in the high category; (2) The perceptions of the learning environment indicate that the post-test scores were slightly higher than the pre-test scores for all scales: Student Cohesiveness, Teacher Support, Involvement, Investigation, Task Orientation, Cooperation, Equity;  (3) The teacher prepared the project design in teaching the 3D shape, students also have to work in groups, communicate,  presenting their work, and all the students had the opportunity to engage with mathematical content.
