Abstract

The meeting activity is one of the routine and scheduled activities that is definitely carried out in every institution, as well as the ITN Malang campus. Problems arise when Covid-19 begins to plague in the city of Malang so that teaching and learning activities on campus must be closed and demanded to work from home according to government recommendations. Difficulties that arise are the way to send invitations and record the results of meetings that have not been efficient. So, it is necessary to develop an application that functions to manage meetings in the ITN Malang internal environment named SeMaR (Meeting Management System). This application was developed based on web and Android using design sprint development method. The results of the analysis and testing show that the design of applications that involve potential users can produce an application that is truly in accordance with user requirements. In addition, the use of the SeMaR application to manage meeting activities in the ITN Malang is able to optimize employee performance especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, and meeting management can be more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Gracilaria sp. is a seaweed that produces "agar" and has economic value. Market demand for Gracilaria sp. is quite high but has not yet been fulfilled. Gracilaria sp. has not been widely cultivated in the waters of West Nusa Tenggara Province, including Dompu. If the level of production of Gracilaria sp. high, it can improve the community's economy. So it is necessary to increase cultivation to increase the production of Gracilaria sp. This research aims to study the growth of Gracilaria sp. cultivated with different initial seed weight treatment. The research was conducted in the Bajo Baru pond, Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara. This study used a completely randomized design method consisting of five treatments with three repetitions. The treatments were: treatment A; Gracilaria sp. with initial seed weight of 100 gr (control); treatment B: Gracilaria sp. with an initial seed weight of 375 g; treatment C: Gracilaria sp. with an initial seed weight of 425 g; treatment D: Gracilaria sp. with initial seed weight 475 g; treatment E: Gracilaria sp. with initial seed weight of 575 g. The parameters observed were absolute and daily growth, agar yield, and water quality. Cultivation and parameter observation was carried out for 30 days. Data analysis using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and graphs with descriptive analysis. The results showed that the initial seed weight of Gracillaria sp had no significant effect on absolute and daily growth. The best growth was obtained in treatment E (575 g) which gave 740 g absolute growth and 0.052 g daily growth. On the other hand, the yield value for agar shows a decreasing trend when using seeds with a higher initial weight. The yield value for the highest order was 17.56%.

Abstract

The development of agroindustry in rural areas has a strategic role because raw materials are commonly produced in the areas. One of the industrial sub-sectors that has bright prospects to develop in rural agroindustries in Indonesia is tapioca flour processing industry. The most important operatiion units in tapioca processing is rasping or grating, which is mechanical disintegration of the tuber cell’s wall in order to free the starch granules and it suspended into the water during the extraction process.  The objective of this study was to design and test the performance of cassava rasping machine powered by gasoline engine.  In the experiment, three levels of cylinder rotation speed i.e. 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm and 3500 and two feeding methods of cassava tuber i.e. perpendicular and pararrel/longitudinal to the cylinder were examined. Results showed that combination of cylinder rotation speed and feeding methods significantly affect the rasping performances. The highest performance was obtained at the condition of cylinder rotation speed of 2500 rpm with feeding method perpendicular to the cylinder.  The performance of the machine at the condition were (1) rasping capacity 488,91  kg h-1, (2) starch percentage 42,28%, (3) starch loss in waste 7,61% and (4) rasping effect  84,92%.

Abstract

The attributes of the product may have an impact on the quality of the product for consumers. Depending on this, the product development of the industry needs greater attention to the materials and hygiene used and to reduce the environmental effect of cassava chip production. This study aims to obtain product attributes according to customer desires and proposed priority technical requirements to produce environmentally friendly cassava chips in accordance with the Green Quality Function Deployment method. The first phase is the identification of the customer requirement attributes with the FGD approach, and the results obtained are the nine customer requirement attributes. The highest weight of customer requirement attributes is the attributes of environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes valued at 1.34. There are 17 attributes for the development of HAJA cassava chips (UD. HAJA) in line with the customer expectations of interviews with three experts. The first priority is the formulation of seasoning raw materials of 8,67 per cent contribution value, the second priority being energy utilized with a contribution value of 8,59 per cent.

Abstract

Dalam konsep manajemen rantai pasok, kelancaran pemenuhan permintaan konsumen dipengaruhi oleh pemasok. Kinerja pemasok akan mempengaruhi ketepatan pemenuhan kuantitas dan kualitas produk yang dipesan oleh konsumen. PT. X merupakan sebuah gudang beras yang membeli gabah dari berbagai pemasok dan kemudian memproses gabah tersebut menjadi beras. Beras ini kemudian dikemas dan dijual kepada konsumennya. Akan tetapi, proses aliran material ini tidak berjalan lancar, beberapa kali terjadi ketidaksesuaian jumlah dan kualitas barang yang dikirim oleh pemasok, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap jadwal pemenuhan permintaan konsumennya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menilai dan memilih sejumlah pemasok yang terbaik dan menentukan jumlah pesanan yang optimal agar kebutuhan konsumen dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Terdapat 3 jenis komoditas gabah yang dipasok dari 10 pemasok. Ke-10 pemasok ini yang akan dinilai dengan menggunakan kriteria: harga, kualitas, kemampuan pemasok dalam menyediakan bahan baku, pelayanan dalam bentuk pengiriman. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dan Linier Programming. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 6 pemasok yang dinilai memiliki kinerja baik yang disarankan kepada PT. X untuk dijadikan sebagai pensuplai 3 jenis gabah. Dengan menggunakan 6 pemasok ini, PT. X diperkirakan mampu melakukan penghematan biaya pembelian gabah sebesar Rp. 32.124.136,- per bulan.

Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah Work In Process (WIP) pada lantai produksi atau bottleneck merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang bisa menyebabkan terjadinya keterlambatan suplai produk kepada konsumen. Dampak lain dari terjadinya bottleneck yaitu dapat menyebabkan penumpukan bahan baku setengah jadi pada lantai produksi sehingga WIP menjadi tinggi. Kondisi ini merupakan kondisi merugikan yang harus dihindari oleh perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan usulan perbaikan pada permasalahan terjadinya bottleneck di lintasan produksi dengan menggunakan beberapa metode line balancing heuristik, yaitu metode Helgesson-Birnie / Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), metode Region Approach, metode Largest Candidate Rule dan metode J-Wagon yang diterapkan di perusahaan manufaktur (PT.’X’) yang memproduksi pallet. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pada penerapannya metode J-Wagon terpilih sebagai metode yang paling optimal diantara metode lainnya tersebut. Rekomendasi untuk PT.’X’ dalam mengatasi permasalahan bottleneck yaitu dengan pembentukan stasiun kerja yang awalnya memiliki jumlah 5 stasiun kerja diubah menjadi 4 stasiun kerja. Ini menghasilkan perbaikan lini lintasan kerja yang awalnya memiliki line efficiency sebesar 69%, balance delay sebesar 31%, smoothness index sebesar 9.22 dan total waktu menganggur sebesar 3.60 menit menjadi line efficiency sebesar 86%, balance delay sebesar 14%, smoothness index sebesar 0.80 dan total waktu menganggur sebesar 1.28 menit.
