Abstract

In the hydrocarbon  exploration, we need the method that result the direct hydrocarbon indicator to estimate the reservoir location and dimension accurately. It is a difficult and long standing problem. The method that used before was inverting the linearized of Zoepprit’s equation. But this method would not result the physical property depend on frequency. We know that the seismic wave propagate in the porous and fluid saturated media will attenuate and wave dispersion. This phenomenon is caused by the dissipation of seismic energy that depend on frequency. So by this idea, we will use the frequency-dependent of physical property to improve the accuracy of direct hydrocarbon indicator. The physical property will be used here is the P-Wave velocity. The method is call the P-Wave Difference Dispersion Factor (PPDF).

Abstract

Analysis of seismic hazard estimation is one method for estimating the effect of earthquakes. The purpose of this study was to determine the maximum value of ground acceleration in bedrock or PGA values for the Lampung Province region. This analysis of seismic hazard estimation is carried out by a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) method. In the process of estimating the influence of earthquakes, the PSHA method principally uses 3 types of earthquake sources, namely the source of background earthquakes, subduction earthquakes (earthquake subduction) and fault earthquakes (faut). The calculation of the estimated seismic hazard value is carried out using the 2007 USGS PSHA program. The distribution of seismic hazard values for the Lampung Province region on bedrock with a 500-year return period or a 10% probability on the PGA condition (T = 0) is 0.1 g to 1, 3 g and a 2500 year return period or a probability of 2% in the PGA condition (T = 0) is 0.1 g to 1.3 g.

Abstract

To investigate soil vulnerability zones, one of the methods is microtremor analysis to analyze soil characteristics based on the natural frequency of the soil layer. However, the technology used to obtain the data is still expensive. Considering the need for this technology, this research was conducted to design a tool used as a microtremor analysis with Arduino-based accelerometer which is affordable and easier to use.  As a result, the design of the accelerometer body size is 18.5 cm x 12 cm x 7 cm with the bottom side of the box made of the iron plate as a vibration medium and the lid box is made of mica. The program system can work efficiently with a maximum sampling rate of data collection of 500/s. From the validation test, the f0 value of the HVSR curve from the accelerometer tool ranges from 0.19 Hz - 0.93 Hz. Whereas from the reference tool Reftek Accelerograph produces a range of 0.18 Hz - 0.90 Hz. The smallest difference between the two measurement tools is 0.0072 Hz at point 1 and the biggest difference is 0.1299 Hz at point 3. The average difference between the two values of f0 is 0.0377 Hz.

Abstract

Reservoir rock permeability and porosity are physical properties of rocks that control reservoir quality. Conventionally, rock porosity and permeability values are obtained from measurements in the laboratory or through well logs. At present, calculation of porosity and permeability can be calculated using digital image processing / Digital Rock Physics (DRP). Core data samples are processed by X-ray diffraction using CT-micro-tomography scan. The result is an image model of the core sample, 2D and 3D images. The combination of theoretical processing and digital images can be obtained from the value of porosity and permeability of rock samples. In this study, we calculated porosity and permeability values using the Digital Rock Physics (DRP) approach in sandstone samples from the Ngrayong Formation, North East Java Basin. The results of the digital image simulation and processing on the Ngrayong Formation sandstone samples ranged in value from 33.50% and permeability around 1267.02 mDarcy.

Abstract

Pesawaran District, as a new district which was established in 2007, has experienced a rapid growth in population. As the population increases, housing and residential land needs will increase. Therefore, there should be a careful planning in determining the location of housing and settlement development in Pesawaran District. This study aims to: 1) Know the weight for each parameter used in determining the level of potential for a land for the development of housing and residential areas with method AHP 2) Know the potential level of land in Pesawaran District for the development of housing and settlements. The method used is AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), while the method by spatial analysis using GIS (Geographic Information System). The results of the study with AHP calculations show that the most dominant parameter is accessibility. The reason is, accessibility will affect the ease of transportation services and affordability of distance. The results of the analysis using GIS resulted in 5 potential locations for the development of residential and residential areas in Pesawaran District which are very potential (13456.50 ha), potential (47941.61 ha), quite potential (47362.11 ha), less extensively potential (16107.09 ha), and no potential (8251.13 ha).

Abstract

Landslides are one of the disasters that often occur in Srimartani Village, Piyungan District, Yogyakarta. The biggest cause of landslides is the steep slope and the existence of a sliding plane on the slope. This study aims to identify the sliding plane on the slopes in Srimartani Village. This research was conducted using geoelectric method Wenner configuration with a: 10 m and n: 6. The data acquisition was taken in 6 lines. Data processing was done using Res2Dinv software and the result is a 2D true resistivity cross section. The results of the interpretation of the six lines indicate the existence of a sliding plane which is characterized by low resistivity contrast at the bottom and higher resistivity near the surface. Low resistivity (10 Ωm) is identified as clay rock and high resistivity ( 10 Ωm) above is identified as surface soil.
