Abstract

The characteristics of modern packaging are standard of volume, size or package weight and contents, filling process and design of package.In the field of modern packaging, the role of quality control are in the optimal total standard packaging, size, in the filling process and labelling, and in the determination of optimal packaging size which can be handled or transported efficiently.

Abstract

The object of this design is to prepare a preplan Citronella Oil Distillating Apparatus for home industry,with 1 ton fresh leaves of Androppogon nardus L batch-capacity. The apparatus resulted has a simple aperation condition,safe and able to produce Citronella Oil that meet the standard. The rendement resulted is good and it can be constructed in the machine workshops  . The other important factors to be considered in constructingthis aparatus are technical factor and cost, which are describe in this paper.

Abstract

Sep[erti telah diketahui bensin bertimbal merupakan penghasil bahan berbahaya SPM dilingkungan pada sektor transportasi, dimana dilain pihak dapat menimbulkan banyak problem kesehatan seperti menurunnya IQ, kanker, cognitive effect dan sebagainya. Ternyata bensin tanpa timbal lebih efisien dalam penggunaan dan memelihara kualitas lingkungan.

Abstract

Dextran is a polysaccharide synthesized by bacteria, including those belongingto the genera of Leuconostoc, Streptobacter. or related forms. Its principal utility now lies in its ability to serve as a blood plasma volume expander.Dextran's chemical and physical properties depend upon both the strain of micro­ organism employed, and the environmental conditions imposed upon the bacterium during growth or the reaction conditions imposed upon the bacterium during growth or the reaction conditions where an enzymatic method of dextran pro­duction is employed.Leuconostoc and Streptococcus species convert sucrose to dextran and fructose primarily. Acetobacter species convert dextrin to dextran, and its by product fructose thistransformation is mediated by an enzyme, dextran sucrase. Its· readily obtainedextracellularly from suitable strains of Leuconostoc mesenteroides propagatedunder appropriate conditions.

Abstract

Diantara berbagai teori transfer masa yang dapat digunakan untuk menjelaskan mekanisme transfer gas, salah satu yang sangat umum digunakan adalah teori dua-selaput. Transfer gas dapat didefinisikan sebagai proses dimana gas dipindahkan dari suatufase kefase lainnya, biasanya dari zat yang berbentuk gas ke Jase cair. Penerapan yang sangat umum dari transfer gas dalam bidang pengolahan air limbah adalah transfer oksigen pada pengolahan air limbah secara biologis. Beberapa hal mengenai transfer oksigen dan proses aerasi dan kaitannya dengan teori dua-selaput, dibahas dalam tulisan ini.

Abstract

The choice of a packaging material for a particular product raises a number of im­ portant considerations. The term aseptic packaging here is refer to conditions· sufficiently controlled that viable microbiological contamination of a product during packaging does not occur or is within practical limits for the subsequent usual comercial storage and distribution. This means that occasionally a very low level of contamination from the container or airbone sources may occur but does not result in spoilage.

Abstract

CO gas from exhaust gas emzsszon industry in large quantities about I 000 ppm is dangerous for human health, if it inhaled through respiratory organ, nerve system and blood. Research has been done for catch the emission gas from exhaust gas use sodium hidroxyde solution as absorber and is sprayed by designed equipment. The result shown that percentage of CO gas absorbed by NaOH solution is direct indicate to concentration of absorber solution. NaOH solution I 000 mg/I can absorb CO gas up to 85,7%.

Abstract

Indonesia mempunyai perkebunan kelapa 3.543.457 ha dengan total produksi 2.757.100 ton kopra yang akan menghasilkan 9.649.850 ton serabut kelapa. Maka dibuat mesin pengolah serabut kelapa yang akan mengolah limbah sabut kelapa menjadi bermacam-macam produk yang dapat dimanfaatkan. Mesin pengolah sabut kelapa terdiri dari mesin crusher, mesin decorticator, mesin revolving screen dan mesin pintal tali serabut dengan kapasitas 750 meter tali per jam. Kapasitas tali yang dihasilkan oleh mesin bisa memenuhi permintaan konsumen dibanding dengan pengolahan cara manual.
