The significant influential factors are trust, knowledge andattitude. While other factors simultaneously affect the citizen in behavingtoward using healthy latrines. The conclusion was that the behaviour inaccessing healthy latrines is created by individual’s knowledge, attitudes andactions. The behaviour will be established and successful if the cultural factorapproach is carried out simultaneously. The individual’s concept aboutsomething is the impact of the individual’s way of thinking about somethingbased on the culture containing non-individual but public meaning. Abstract

Dialogue and co-existence between religious believers have been practicedquite extensively in Indonesia, especially since the New Order era. From thebeginning, it did happen top-down because of the government's politicalstrategy to create a peaceful and stable society for the success of physicaldevelopment. However, in subsequent developments, the importance ofchanging approaches to dialogue and cooperation between religiousbelievers was considered as an urgent matter. Therefore, the activeinvolvement of citizens and the creation of social spaces for the interactionand encounter of citizens of different religions, ethnicities and cultures havebeen initiated and practiced by the government in many regions of Indonesia.Unfortunately, intolerant and exclusive attitudes among citizens still occur.By using philosophical inquiry methods to analyze various practices ofinterreligious dialogue in Indonesia, it was found that first, there has been achange in approach in interreligious dialogue in Indonesia. Second, it isincreasingly being realized that social spaces for encounters betweendifferent citizens must continue to be expanded as a medium to combatintolerant attitudes. Third, caring ethics, especially aspects of attention, canbe a moral and philosophical foundation that strengthens caring interactionsbetween citizens in the social space that has been formed.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a descriptive analysis of ethnicity politics from theperspective of Glazer and Moynihan "Beyond The Melting Pot" to expandKotawaringin Province. The research method used is qualitative with a casestudy approach. The research data were obtained from observations, document searches and in-deep interviews. The results found that the desireto separate from Central Kalimantan Province made the five prospectiveregencies of Kotawaringin Province form a Melting Pot. "Melting Pot," whichis meant here, is to be "Orang Kotawaringin." The Kotawaringin communityis very heterogeneous, originating from not only one ethnicity but being ableto unite for a common goal.In contrast to Glazer and Moynihan's "Being America," which illustrates thepattern of ethnic interaction in New York City is eternal. In Kotawaringin, thisethnic identity is only temporary and impermanent. The collective identity ofbeing an Orang Kotawaringin is built according to an instrumentalistperspective, namely: ethnicity is seen not only as a given value or as a resultof a social construction but rather as used to obtain benefits, including federalbenefits.
