Abstract

ABSTRAK Perception librarian to librarian at university libraries udayana Unit 2015, namely human resources capabilities of the library, work in the library of supporting facilities, personal perception of HR. Human resources capacity of the library is the ability of librarians in terms of processing or in the service has been good, but should be improved further, supporting the library facilities are adequate. So that the libraries in knowing aspects of inadequate library, the library in terms of human resource capacity. Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper is descriptive research with qualitative approach. This study will explained about the processing of library collection that involved by 4 (four) librarians to do inventaritation, classification, and catalogitation at Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University. The Techniques of collecting data are interview, observation, and documentation. In this study, author process the datas with triangulation, reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion, while the technique of presenting data using narrative descriptly. The Inveritation process in Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University doesn’t have any special room for this inventaritation activity, and the staff of Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University have not schedule on this activity because they are depends on the crowdedness of the service in library. While the classification process of the Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University applied the 14th reference of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) for the book classification, and the catalogitation activity at Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University was hampered by the obstacle on the new system. Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study, is the of internet the type of this research is quantitative descriptive research which is aimed to. Examine the us of the internet in the Public Library of Badung Regency Bali and the effect of the implementation of the internet in the Library. The expected benefits of this research are for educational institution and for the Library itself The study is located in the Public Library of Badung Regency. The population in this study is all visitors in the Public Library of Badung Regency and the sample is among of the population  technique used is in the research Random Sampling. The data collection techniques used is this study are observation and purposive questionnaires, but the analysis technique is a simple linear regression analysis which using the formula Y = a + bX Keywords: Internet, Library, Research

Abstract

ABSTRACT Regional Library of Yogyakarta City is located in the city which is predicated as an Indonesian Education City. The town is filled by students and therefore the people have a high academic information needs. In the era of information disclosure, as it is today, and in the middle of the high demand of user’s information needs, librarians are required to have information literacy skills. This study discusses librarian’s information literacy based on Empowering Eight models and the role of librarian's information literacy in fulfilling the user’s information needs in Yogyakarta City Regional Library by using descriptive method and qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study come from a textbook, online books, journals, previous research, interviews and observations. Technique of data analysis used by the author is the data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results of this study show that librarian’s information literacy in Yogyakarta City Regional Library in accordance with the Empowering Eight model’s and the role of librarian’s information literacy in fulfilling the user’s information needs shows only two components namely, the identification and application. Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study is The Layout of Library to Improve Reading Interest of the users in the library of Faculty of Law Udayana Uviversity. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study aims are to determine the layout of the library of the Faculty of Law Udayana University and to determine the influence or relationship betwen layout library and reading interest. The expected benefits of this research are for educational institutions and for the library it self. This study is located in the Library of the Faculty of Law Udayana University. Students who become members of the library of the Faculty of Law, University of Udayana registered in 2016 is used as the population of this study. Samples in this study is calculated using the formula slovin, while the sample collection technique used is Probability Sampling. This study uses questionnaires as data collection techniques. The techniques of data analysis used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis while using the formula Y = a + bX . Keywords: Layout, Interests Read, Library, Research

Abstract

ABSTRACT The titled of this study is The Evaluation of Cooperation between Library and Archives of Bali with PT Telkom Indonesia in order to improve Library service. The type of research is quantitative descriptive. This study aims to determine whether there is influence the cooperation of Library and Archives of Bali with PT Telkom Indonesia in order to improve Library services. This research is located in the Library and Archives of Bali. The population in this study is the number of new members of the National Library and Archives of Bali in March 2016. In the sample calculation using the formula slovin, with a total sample of 94 people, while the data collection techniques used were proportionate stratified sampling random. This study uses data collection techniques such as questionnaires. The techniques of data analysis research is simple linear regression analysis while using the formula Y = a + bX. Abstract

ABSTRACT User education is an activity which is important to do for a library. This study aims to determine whether there is affect between user education to the utilization of library services at Library of Udayana University. The library has a complete enough facilities which is supported by user education to educate academic community of Udayana University in order to utilize the facilities and services available effectively and efficiently. This study discusses the affect of user education to the utilization of library services at Library of Udayana University which are using descriptive method and quantitative approaches. The data sources in this study derived from articles in journals, textbooks, websites, previous studies, questionnaires, direct observation and interviews. The techniques of data analysis used in this research are using validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis and t test using SPSS (Statistical Package of Social Science). The results of this study state that there is a significant relationship between user education to the utilization of library services at Library of Udayana University. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research are to know the condition and usage of Balinese literature collection service at Library of Badung Regency. This research are quantitative descriptive research, the technicque to getting data are quesionaire, observation, literature studi and documentation. The  subject of this research all of visitors, which use of Balinese Literature collection with 50 samples. The technicque of sampling is incidental sampling. This time of research about 1 month, started an 1 April – 31 April 2016. The result of this research is almost of respondent (98%) said that the condition at Library of Badung Regency is well. Most of Balinese literature collection are adequate and fairly up to date. The average of user’s age which used Balinese literature collection are 12-15 years old and 40 years old, and most of them is women (56%) usage of Balinese Literature collection service at Library of Badung Regency. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to calculate half-life and literature obsolescence of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 in 2014 and 2015. The study was calculated based on the citations by each article. This study used quantitative methods, the unit analysis of this research are the articles of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2, in 2014 and 2015, which having citations with the year of issue. In these journals have a total 68 articles 736 citations. Based on the calculations, the highest hal-life is 8,9 years and the lowest half-life is 5,6 years, while the half-life average Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 of 2014 and 2015 is 6.8 years. Half-life of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 in 2014 and 2015 was 6.8 years, meaning that literature which has more than 6.8 years should be reconsidered to be used as a reference while those with less than 6.8 years of age can be used as a reference for information provided is considered still relevant Keywords : half-life, obsolescence

Abstract

ABSTRACT             The purpose of this research is to determine the satisfaction level users of the library book collection development policy STMIK STIKOM Indonesia. This research is quantitative descriptive research and the techniques of data collection  used questionnaires, literature, and observation. The subjects of this research were all visitors of STMIK STIKOM Indonesia library. The population is all library visitors in February 2016 which are totally 304 people and pointed 173 as sample became respondents. The technique of sampling is using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. This research are conducted for one month in March 2016. The results of this research is the book collection development activity of library STMIK STIKOM Indonesia are carried out routinely and it has been considered in accordance with the need of users, but has not been fulfilled need of the library users, with an average  63.17% of user satisfaction rate. Keywords: user satisfaction, library collection,college library
