Abstract

The development of technology capable to imitating the process of human thinking  and led to a new branch of computer science named the expert system. One of the problem that can be solved by an expert system is selecting hypercholesterolemia drugs.  Drug selection starts from find the symptoms and then determine the best drug for the patient. This is consist with the mechanism of forward chaining which starts from searching for information about the symptoms, and then try to illustrate the conclusions. To accommodate the missing fact, expert systems can be complemented with the Bayes theorem that provides a simple rule for calculating the conditional probability so the accuracy of the method approaches the accuracy of the experts. This reseacrh uses 30 training data and 76 testing data of medical record that use hypercholesterolemia drugs from Tugurejo Hospital of Semarang. The variable are common symptoms and some hypercholesterolemia drugs. This research obtained a selection of hypercholesterolemia drugs system with 96.05% accuracy

Abstract

Universitas Indo Global Mandiri adalah salah satu Universitas yang beradadi kota Palembang, seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar maka dibutuhkan sebuah Sistem aplikasi e-learning. E-Learning adalah salah satu metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi komputer, jaringan komputer dan/atau Internet. E- Learning memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk belajar melalui komputer di tempat mereka masing- masing tanpa harus secara fisik pergi mengikuti perkuliahan di kelas seperti perkuliahan secara konvensional. Dengan adanya e-learning diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk lebih memahami materi pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh dosen. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Program Studi Sistem Informasi Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Indo Global Mandiri. Didalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode RAD (Rapid Aplication Development) dan rancangan system menggunakan Use Case yang terdiri dari tiga class yakni, admin, dosen dan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to make comparisons on the internet network using the application of the Burst method and processed with Quality of Service analysis in which there are parameters of throughput, delay, and jitter. This analysis was carried out because there was a problem with a slow internet network. This happens because there is no configured bandwidth management on the Microtic router and also the unequal distribution of bandwidth when more and more bandwidth users. Methods: Burst is one of the bandwidth management methods available on the Microtic router. Quality of Service analysis is performed to test the parameters of throughput, delay, and jitter on each of the internet networks. After this test is complete, it shows that the results of using the Burst method as a bandwidth regulator, internet network access can be controlled, and each client gets the bandwidth evenly as needed. Result: The work result using Burst is more optimal than performance without using Burst. By using Burst the number of packets lost and failed transactions is reduced by more than 70%. Novelty: This study focuses on the implementation of Burst which is applied to one client2 and will be compared with client1 without the application of Burst.

Abstract

Nowadays internet technology provide more convenience for searching information on a daily. Users are allowed to find and publish their resources on the internet using search engine. Search engine is a computer program designed to facilitate a user to find the information or data that they need. Search engines generally find the data based on keywords they entered, therefore a lot of case when the user can’t find the data that they need because there are an error while entering a keyword. Thats why a search engine with the ability to detect the entered words is required so the error can be avoided while we search the data. The feature that used to provide the text suggestion is autocomplete and spell checking using Levenshtein distance algorithm. The purpose of this research is to apply the autocomplete feature and spell checking with Levenshtein distance algorithm to get text suggestion in an error data searching in library and determine the level of accuracy on data search trials. This research using 1155 data obtained from UNNES Library. The variables are the input process and the classification of books. The accuracy of Levenshtein algorithm is 86% based on 1055 source case and 100 target case.

Abstract

This study aims to automate the process of understanding temple relief, despite the difficulties to analyze the contents of natural images. Three preprocessing stages are develop in this research namely edge detection based on convolution (EC), edge detection based on gaussian (EG) and Hybrid which is a combination between edge detection based on convolution and gaussian. These algorithm is to support the operation of Watershed transform to segment relief images. A set of relief images obtained from several temples near Malang City are used in this experiment. Two experimental parameter are develop in order to measure the performance of these algorithm, namely number of object and quality of retrieval from segmentation result. The result of experiment show that hybrid approach deliver the best performances compare the other approaches.

Abstract

The information technology systems are developing faster; one of its developments is a system to process the recording of sales data (Selling System). To support the selling process in Ali Cycle bicycle shop, which previously done manually, it needs a system to record the stock of goods, transaction, supplier, and sales report. There is a lot of model in building the system, one of the model is traditional development model, generally, the phase of this model is never-ending related to system problems or bugs, sometimes bugs are not found in the development but comes after practical use begins. A Point of Sale (POS) system with Test Driven Development (TDD) method has been built in which a test is written before the coding phase in a purpose of the codes, which are created, has passed the test, reducing the bug and it tests the system. The results show that all codes have passed the test; the test consists of 89 functions and 397 statements. Evaluation results of end-users testing showed that the majority of respondents strongly agree and agree with a system with an average rating of 94% for performance, 89% interface and 83% user satisfaction. The conclusion is, building a POS system using TDD method succeeded by producing a useful system as the requirement and expected system quality.

Abstract

Cloud computing merupakan sebuah teknologi yang menyediakan layanan terhadap sumber daya komputasi melalui sebuah jaringan. Sumber daya yang di sediakan di dalam cloud computing meliputi mesin, media penyimpanan data, sistem operasi dan program aplikasi. Fitur dari cloud computing dipercaya akan jauh lebih hemat dan memuaskan. Masalah yang muncul adalah bagaimana mengimplementasi Cloud Computing dengan menggunakan Windows Azure Pack dan bagaimana provisioning Windows Azure Pack SQL Database. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah pada proses deploying dan provisioning SQL Database Server. Pengimplementasian cloud computing menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem agile dengan langkah-langkah meliputi perencanaan, implementasi, pengujian (test), dokumentasi, deployment dan pemeliharaan. Untuk menjalankan proses tersebut kebutuhan perangkat yang dipersiapkan meliputi perangkat keras seperti PC Server Cisco UCS C240 M3S2, Hardisk 8753 GB, 256 GB RAM, bandwith minimal 1 Mbps dan kebutuhan perangkat lunak meliputi Windows Server 2012 R2, VMM, Windows Azure Pack, IIS, SQL Server 2012 dan Web Patform Installer. Hasil dari implementasi cloud computing menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem agile adalah terbentuknya sebuah sistem cloud hosting provider dengan menggunakan Windows Azure Pack dan SQL Server 2012 sebagai sistem utama dan pengelolaan database menggunakan Microsoft SQL Server Management

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluation of the SID ITB STIKOM Bali usability was carried out using used framework and the Moscow technique, where until now there has never been an evaluation of the usability of SID, causing the relevant stakeholders not to know the usefulness of the system and not knowing the improvements that need to be made to the SID system. Methods: The method chosen in this study is literature study and observation, SID system analysis, distribution and processing questionnaire data, data analysis, and concluding. Result: The result of this study is the global usability value for SID based on ten aspects of the Sirius framework usability and recommendations for improving the SID STIKOM Bali system based on the Moscow Technique ranking. Novelty: This research's novelty can be a reference material for stakeholders in determining policies related to improving the SID system at ITB STIKOM Bali.

Abstract

Completeness of data in each institution, such as major in a university, is necessary. Data of former school has important role in the need of students data. However, there is no relationship between data of former school and variable of students’ score. The suitable classification used in this research is data mining technique which is naïve bayes algorithm. This algorithm is able to manage massive data with a relative fast timing. By using this algorithm, the data results 64.77% performances in classifying former major in school towards variable of score. Hence, the researchers optimize selection feature by using Backward Elimination and result 71.71% performances data. It concludes that performance increases with selection feature. The increasing shows that not all variable of score affects the former school major.

Abstract

Data Grouping scholarship applicants Bantuan Belajar Mahasiswa (BBM) grouped into 3 categories entitled of students who are eligible to receive, be considered, and not eligible to receive scholarship. Grouping into 3 groups is useful to make it easier to determine the scholarship recipients fuel. K-Medoids algorithm is an algorithm of clustering techniques based partitions. This technique can group data is student scholarship applicants. The purpose of this study was to measure the performance of the algorithm, this measurement in view of the results of the cluster by calculating the value of purity (purity measure) of each cluster is generated. The data used in this research is data of students who apply for scholarships as many as 36 students. Data will be converted into three datasets with different formats, namely the partial codification attribute data, attributes and attribute the overall codification of the original data. Value purity on the whole dataset of data codification greatest value is 91.67%, it can be concluded that the K-Medoids algorithm is more suitable for use in a dataset with attributes encoded format overall.
