Abstract

The purpose of this study was to help gifted children who experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress so that the potential of gifted children is not lost in vain. In this globalization era, the causes of trauma to individuals are increasing. Individual counseling with logotherapy techniques is considered appropriate to help gifted children who experience symptoms of posttraumatic stress because logotherapy counseling can help gifted children get the meaning of life. This research method was quasi-experimental. The sample in this study were students who experienced posttraumatic stress due to flooding and rob in the Genuk, Sayung, Wringjajar, Morosari and Kalisari regions,Semarang. The total partisipant 10 gifted children. The results of the study showed an increase in the meaning of life of gifted children after being given individual counseling. The hypothesis which states counseling individuals with logotherapy techniques to increase the meaning of life of gifted children who are traumatized by flooding and rob is acceptable.

Abstract

This research sought to examine the influence of psychological capital on the relationship between job resources and work engagement on the millennial generation. By surveying 322 employees working in various types of organizations (government agencies, state-owned and private) in several major cities in Indonesia using mediation analysis to evaluate the hypothesis,this study reveals that psychological capital partially mediates the relationship between job resources and work engagement. The limitations faced during this study regard the method and research design used; hence, future studies may anticipate these issues. The findings further strengthen the significance of psychological capital on stimulating the level of millennials’ work engagement. In addition, job resources must not be neglected, since it also influences work engagement.

Abstract

This research is a correlational study using quantitative method of distributing questionnaires to students of class X, XI and XII in X Senior High School in the area of West Jakarta and Y Senior High School in North Jakarta. Student-teacher trust questionnaire refers to Tchannen-Moran’s study, while school well-being questionnaire refers to Konu and Rimpelä’s study. The research is using purposive sampling technique involving 486 students. The results of the study shows that student-teacher trust has a significant positive relationship with school well-being, so that the higher student-teacher trust, the higher the school well-being. As additional, this study also shows that there is no significant difference in terms of gender.

Abstract

This research aims to know the relationship between self control with intensity of playing online games on the school children. The methods on this research is quantitative correlation, with the instrument is self control scale and intensity of playing online games scale. Quantity of subject is about 140 students of SDN Branta Paseser 1 Pamekasan who selected based on proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. The result shows that there is a relationship between self control with intensity of playing online games on the school children This means if the higher self control owned students, so the lower level intensity of playing online games. Beside that, the contribution of effective self control to the intensity of playing online games on the school children is about 64.6%.

Abstract

This study is aimed 1).to find out relation among the social support and BP. 2).Totest the difference BP based on age. The hypothesis in this study is1). there is a relationship between social support and BP. 2). There is difference BP on based age. All data are measured with scales. The partisipans to this study amounted to 247 adults aged 20-40 years. The data obtained are analyzed with SPSS program. The result showed that 1).There is norelationship between social support and BP (r= -0,40; p= 0,182) 2).There is no difference BP on based age (F= 1,491;p=0,097).Methodological recommendations are as follows 1)pay attention to sources and types of social support 2).analyze the profile of trains in each age group and gender.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the picture of thinking processes in schizophrenic patients. The subjects consisted of three people with schizophrenia who went into the residual phase. The approach used is qualitative method and use case study research design. In this study, the patterns of thinking contained in the subject include analogical thinking, concrete and scientific, but there are subjects who still think autistic. In addition, there are subjects who are better able to think creatively and logically, but the process of creative thinking is not shared by other subjects. Research subjects have difficulty in solving the problems they are experiencing, especially oneself and must need others in overcoming the problem, one of the subjects was afraid if he could not find a solution in his problem. All subjects are also still experiencing disruption of thought processes, such as: incoherence, preoccupation, flight of ideas and others. The interruption of thought processes can affect the subject in using his thinking pattern. Also in terms of self-acceptance, there is only one subject that still has not accepted its current state. Therefore, the thought process is very necessary for residual schizophrenia to be more productive, so that in the recovery period they can produce works and beneficial to others

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in counseling satisfaction between counselees who get counseling services in accordance with the characteristics of his personality and get appropriate counseling style and those who do not. The hypothesis proposed in this study was that there was the influence of counselee personality characteristics, counseling style that was in accordance with the satisfaction of counseling.Two hundred and fifty-three men and women who have lived in Semarang for at least 1 year, aged between 18 and 55 years and came from various professions participated in this research. The recruitment of participants was voluntary to participants who were students whereas for non-student participants, there is assignment from the working institutions. The experimental research method was applied by grouping the subjects in the experimental and control groups randomly. A counseling style that matches the characteristics of the participants' personality was given in the experimental group, whereas in the control group it was not. Further comparison of the experimental and control groups was conducted to prove the differences in counseling satisfaction of both groups. Two instruments used in this study were: (1) the Indonesian version of the NEO Personality Inventory-Revised (NEO-PI-R) developed by Costa & McCrae (2) Client Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ-8). It was found that in general all participants were satisfied with the counseling service received. T-test analysis was found that there was no difference in counseling satisfaction between experimental and control groups

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between permissive parenting and extroverted personality with consumptive behavior in TKI / TKW children in Bandung Tulungagung District. The research subjects were 70 students of class X and XI of SMK Negeri 1 Bandung Tulungagung. The research method uses Quantitative by using Non-Parametric Kendall analysis. Based on the analysis, it was obtained results that permissive parenting and extroverted personality with consumptive behavior had a significant correlation. Extroverted personality with consumptive behavior has a significant relationship, but permissive parenting with consumptive behavior is not significantly associated

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine if brand experience can predict brand loyalty of older adult consumers through brand trust. This cross-sectional study involved 390 Indonesian older adult consumers of a mineral water who completed a self-report questionnaire. Mediation analysis suggested that brand experience was significant for predicting brand loyalty, either directly or indirectly, suggesting partial mediation. This result further implied that older adult consumers’ experience of a brand can maintain ongoing brand loyalty.In addition, brand trust does not necessarily influence the relationship between brand experience and brand loyalty, which implies that experience is sufficient to maintain older adult consumers’ loyalty to the product. The limitations of this research and potential future research is also discussed

Abstract

This research is aimed at understanding relationship between spiritual intelligence and resilience of teenagers born in poor family in Jongin Village, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. There are 39 participants in this research, and data collecting technique uses accidental sampling technique. Resilience variable is measured with resilience scale adapted from Resilience Quotation (RQ) and Spiritual Intelligence scale is measured with scale of Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory (SISRI-24). The data is analyzed with correlation technique of Product Moment Pearson. Correlation coefficient is r = 0.654 (p < 0,01), so it can be concluded that there is positive relationship and very significance between spiritual intelligence and resilience of teenagers born in poor family in Jongin Village, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi.
