<![CDATA[Guidance toward the female prisoners in the penitentiary institution is based on: age. sex and the length of the sanction. as well as other criteria or the development needed for the guidance. which requires special treatment. The purposes and importance of this research are: (J) to find out all of the elements that influence . the whole process of the prisoners guidance. (2) to discover all the uncovered needs during the guiding time and also discover the guidance model as an alternative. The method that is used in this research is ridical sociological with the specification of descriptive analysis. Based on the result 0 research and discussion. it can be concluded that the elements which influence the pris ers guidance contains four things: self,family. community and the officer. The all four el ments are connected each other. The needs that are not well accommodated in the implementation of prisoners guidance are: a) The prisoner who do not have any family that ar lling to guarantee. b) The management of stress. depression,fear that are experience Py the prisoners in the time when the prisoners will be free have not been accommodated. uggestion: it is necessary to create an institution and shelter for the ex-prisoners. includng the psychologists. <![CDATA[City marketing is a strategy to achieve city s vision, it should be supported with city planning as a foundation for city to create image, attraction, sufficient infrastructure, and human resources which support city marketing. City planning ;s not only to supply the citizen, but it is also to satisfy market target. In Indonesia, city planning process refers to guidance which is produced by central government. This situation makes city planning product is "similar" among cities and it is just supply oriented to citizen need with national standard. Even though, the purpose of the guidance is to facilitate local government to produce comprehensive city planning. Competitive advantage ;s an important strategy in city marketing. Unfortunately, because of the similarity of city planning, city has no competitive advantage. City has not attraction place which consists of economy attraction, quality of life, and also sufficient infrastructure. Place attraction is required in city marketing. It is necessary for city which uses city marketing approach in city planning with orientation to market target. Human resources with capacity in entrepreneurship are also important to produce city planning which has orientation in city marketing.]]>

<![CDATA[Semarang as a capital city gives a good impression to other cities. Semarang has established infrastructure for city population for years. The establishment of infrastructure. unfortunately. takes public spaces and affects public space availability. Prior, Simpanglima Park was a public space which changed its function to be the area of food /consumer goods paddlers. So there lWlS no space available for entertainment activities of the population. There mzs not only Simpanglima. but also Taman KB that its condition was screaming. Visitor who came to the park felt unsatisfactory caused by impolite and crime baggers. There were so food paddlers who sell food with un-normal prices as well as garbage and its bad smelt problems. At the end. people prefer malls for passing the time or entertainment. Only with 1000 to 2000 rupiahs for park retribution they can avoid impolite sellers, crime baggers and got cool air atmosphere. But nowadays. the Government has been improving the lnfrastructure so the public spaces have been returned to their function]]>

<![CDATA[Health is one of the main factors contributing to the quality of life. Good health is resulted from various factors. including the quality and quantity of food intake. Many researches show that nutritional factors contribute in the prevention of degenerative diseases, such as heart disease and cancer. Carrot is one kind of root vegetables that widely consumed, contains health promoting compounds. particularly carotenoids. Boiling is one of ca"ot processing methods usually done at household level. The boiling of ca"ot was supposed to influence carotene content of carrot and therefore would change its antioxidant activity. The aim of this study was to study the changes of carotene content and antioxidant activity of carrot during boiling process. The carotene content and antioxidant activity were analyzed by open-column chromatography (OCC) followed by spectrophotometer and by 2,2-diphenylI- picrylhydrazy/ (DPPH) methods, respectively. This study found that carrot boiledfor 24-30 minutes had the highest antioxidant activity. and more than 30 minutes of boiling. the antioxidant activity was decreased. In order to get the highest carotene content and antioxidant activity of boiled ca"ot {with usual shape made in household processing. which is cross-sectional slices with 2-4 mm thickness}. the boiling time therefore should be 24-30 minutes.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to know the affectivity of bibliotherapy to reduce anxiety of cancer patients. The hypothesis is there is differentiation before and after bibliotherapy treatment among cancer patients. The anxiety decreases after bibliotherapy treatment. This research uses Single-Case Experimental Design (quasi experiment). Subjects are 1m? female patients with cervix and uterus cancers. There are J 5 sessions, including bibliotherapy treatment 9 sessions. Result shows that there are decreasing anxieties toward their cancers among the subjects. There are differentiations between anxiety scale (Hamilton anxiety scale and Death anxiety scale). After the bibliotherapy treatment, posttest scores are decreasing compared with the pretest scores]]>

<![CDATA[Inward migration is a common phenomenon in Jakarta especially before and after Lebaran (Moslem Holy Day). In that moment, a lot of people who are mostly marginal groups are coming to Jakarta to seek jobs. These inward migrant are typically workforce with limited education and therefore lays on informal sectors. Due to the characteristic of inward migrants. the city government tends to reject the migrants through legal operations in the train and bus station. The city government believes that accept migrants will only increase their budget operationfor public services, in contrary there will be no contribution of migrant to the city. It looks like that the city is only a market for investor, business, industry, and high quality residents. This article tries to identify the advantage and disadvantage of legal operation approach by comparing it to city marketing approach. Result of this comparison will be used as recommendation for city to deal with inward migration.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil in the world. The high productivity of palm oilshould be followed by processing and diversification of processed palm oil products. One ofthe products are refined palm oil to eat. Palm oil can be processed into various kinds ofproductsfrom the stem, fruit, root. Thefruit is made into oil palm. Oil palmfroit is processedthrough handling the fruit bunches. boiling. threshing. pulverized. oil extraction. andclarification to become Crude Palm Oil (CPO). CPO has a variety of nutrients that arebeneficial to human health. such as a-, a-, ii-carotene, vitamin E (tocopherol. tokotrienol).Iicopene, lutein. sterols, unsaturatedfatty acid and ubiquinone. Generally CPO is processedinto cooking oil. However; cooking oil processing causes damage to the nutrition. To gainbenefit from the nutrients il needs to employ other treatment methods such as moleculardistillation and Supercritical Fluid Extraxtion (SFE). However. the process is still expensive.modified conventional cooking oil processing methods is also developed so that it can produceoil that still has a high nutrient. which is called Red Palm Oil (RPO). RPO can be used toreduce the risk of anemia in pregnant women. RPO when stored at room temperature can lastup to 8 months with a-carotene decrease from 500 to become 370. J ppm. With a high nutritionalvalue RPO can be used in a variety of products that are not exposed to excessive heat.including, saute oil, oils sachets for instant noodles. and salad dressings.]]>

<![CDATA[In general there are two main characteristic landscape of Semarang. Lowland in north area while hilly area in south part. Historically north area land construction shapes because of sedimentation process over hundred years. New sedimentation area in particular north coast Semarang the land condition is unstable that causes buildings is this area sinking. On the other hand global warming caused increasing sea level give impact of sea water come settlement area (rob). The level of houses in this area has to increase gradually. Most people in this area rebuild their houses by increasing the level of the house by pulling soil in order to raise floor level. This condition give impact of decreasing land level because of the weight of new soil and the house. One solution of this problem is by building new construction of raise pile house (rumah panggung) "ith light building materials under the original house.]]>
