Abstract

Investment gallery is a three parties collaboration, between IDX, securities company, and university that aims to increase the number of investors, especially from the civitas academica. However, in the past year, more than 50% Investment galleries failed to meet the growing investor target. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign an investment gallery that is more oriented to the wants and needs of investors and potential investors. through investment galleries and their intention to reinvest. Factors are generated through literature studies and interviews to customers and management of IDX and results in 12 factors. These factors were measured by 32 indicators and tested using an online and offline questionnaire of 193 respondents from 7 best investment galleries in Indonesia. The data obtained is processed by using factor analysis so as to form 5 factors: perceived image, customer experience, benefit, facilities, and response time. These results are then processed to see the relationship of each factor to the intention to re-invest. Based on multiple linear regression analysis, only 4 factors have significant effect, which are perceived image, benefit, facilities, and customer experience. The results of the study were then used to develop an investment gallery marketing strategy.

Abstract

Vehicle routing problem with simultaneous pickup and delivery (VRPSPD) is a problem of vehicle routes where the delivery and pickup of products to each consumer is conducted simultaneously. Pangkalan Agisindo Alam Mandiri is engaged in the distribution of 3 kg LPG. At present, pangkalan already has a schedule of visits to retail stores, but the visit route is still subjectively set which causes long mileage and high transportation costs. The problem of determining the route at this pangkalanis calledVRPSPD because pangkalandelivered filled  LPG tubes to retail stores and at the same time picked up empty LPG tubes to be brought back. To determine the route, one must consider the vehicle capacity and the ratio of the number of LPG tubes delivered and picked up. This research used a tabu search algorithm to get the proposed route. The steps in the tabu search algorithm includes  determination of the initial solution, the neighborhood search, intensification phase, diversification phase,  standard phase, and  interactive phase. By using the tabu search algorithm, the proposed route provided a savings of transportation costs of 13.72% rather than the initial route of the company.

Abstract

This research deals with the problem of postponement facility siting for distributing OPC cements produced by PT. Semen Jawa. In order to obtain the optimum value of the site location, centre of gravity (CoG) method is applied. From calculation, a location in Jatiwarna, Bekasi with longitutede and latitude of -6.30687 dan 106.9311, respectively, is selected. I addition, for the reason of efficiency, it is suggested in this paper the PT. Semen Jawa should share a location of SCG batching plant in Kampung Rambutan as a postponement facility.

Abstract

Water pump machines are electronic products that are widely used by the community. Because of the high frequency of use, this product is quickly damaged. In order to reduce the environmental impact, the ease of the product to be repaired or recycled needs to be improved, especially the dismantling process because it is the initial process to separate components. This study aims to evaluate the ease of dismantling a water pump machine based on the ease of component to be reached and the complexity of the component and product design. Evaluation begins by identifying the initial product design and the relationships between components needed to determine the order of possible product demolition and as an attribute of calculating complexity and accessibility indexes. The calculation results show that the complexity and accessibility idex values for each component are the same in all disassembly sequences because the product design does not allow for sub-assembly. The most complex components are mechanical seal, water reservoirs and lids beside the pump body. While the components that are most difficult to access are impellers, mechanical seals and rator covers.

Abstract

Research on smoked fish packaging has only focused on its functional side to increase product life. Meanwhile, research on smoked fish packaging design that focuses on improving and expanding markets has never existed. Until now, smoked fish was sold without packaging even though the amount of production continued to increase. The purpose of this study was to determine consumer preferences for the design of smoked fish packaging. With the recognition of these preferences, it is expected that the smoked fish industry players can apply it so that it can increase the sale value and the number of sales. This study uses focus group discussion as a qualitative method and conjoint analysis as a quantitative method. Color, material, shape, size, brand, and additional information is the attribute chosen at the focus group discussion as a representation of smoked fish packaging to determine the level of its preference. The results of this study indicate that brands have the highest preference compared to others (importance values 30.303%).

Abstract

Gea Craft is a small business engaged in the production various types of woman's bag from cow leather up to aged fiber with make to order production system. Leather cutting worker state feels discomfort when working and often get pain complaints from some parts of his body. It impacts to disrupt work activities and normal activities. The research aims to improve the working posture of leather cutting and accelerate the time required for process of cutting the leather by designing leather cutting machine by using rational methods. The results of this research is a leather cutting machine design which can cut the risk level from assess work posture by Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method that decreases the score become 1 (there is no significant risk) and decrease the time process of leather cutting to 26.264%.

Abstract

Increasing plastic waste in Indonesia make residents around Brontokusuman Waste Bank RW 20-22 Yogyakarta produce ecobrick.  Ecobrick is one way of handling plastic waste by packing clean and dry plastic into a plastic bottle to specified density.  The problem nowadays is nostandard operating procedure (SOP) for the ecobrick production.  Therefore, this study aims to develop SOP for ecobrick production to be systematic and structured so as to maintain product quality and consistency both in terms of aesthetics and product weight.  This research was conducted using qualitative methods, like observation, interviews with actors and SOP experts, and documentation.  Then, data analysis method by Miles and Huberman was carried out, such as reduction, evaluation and conclusion.  This research also presents preparation of initial SOP design, simulation of initial SOP production and problem identification, then improvement, final SOP design and simulation.  The result is SOP production of standardized aesthetic and weightecobrick.

Abstract

Work posture analysis plays an important role in providing safe and productive workplace, through minimizing musculoskeletal symptoms or disorders. The postural analysis can be conducted through observation, direct, and self-report method. Each has their advantages and disadvantages. Purpose of this study is to compare obervation and self-report analysis in the context of degre of agreenes. One rater observes and gives rating to the fifteeen work postures in an automotive service company using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). In addition, six workers in the automotive service company also fill out the Nordic questionnaire as a self-report of musculoskeletal symptoms or disorders. Descriptive analysis is conducted to compare the musculoskeletal symptoms using both observer and self-report analysis. Results show that RULA is slighlty better than REBA in accordance to the Nordic questionnaire’ result. Implications of the result is discussed.

Abstract

Shrimp agro-industry is one of the food processing industries, which converts raw shrimp into high-value shrimp processed products. The production system used in shrimp agroindustry to respond market demand is a hybrid make to stock (MTS) and make to order (MTO). The decision to determine which products will be stored as supply sources and which products are made to fulfill orders is a critical decision that must be made on the MTS-MTO hybrid system. The concept of customer order decoupling point (CODP) is used to identify material flow points that connect a product with different consumers. This study aims to present a conceptual model in the MTS-MTO hibrid system based on customer order decoupling point (CODP) which is adjusted to product characteristics, production characteristics and market characteristics in the shrimp agroindustry. The results of the study are presented in a business process model template that describes the order of decisions for storing products or making products to fulfill orders and conceptual models in the form of diagrams named the CODP conceptual model on shrimp agroindustry.
