Abstract

Abstract

Research on consumer preferences on mountain shoe products is crucial. Mountain shoes are an important tool in mountain climbing activities that are at risk. Errors in the design of a mountain shoe cause inconvenience to consumers. This article discusses the factors that affect consumer satisfaction of mountain shoe products, so get the appropriate product design. Data processing is done by Kano method that shows response from respondent tend to spread. Another finding is that the number of values between categories in some attributes has an insignificant difference. Determination of Kano category is done by using Kanos satisfaction coefficient graph. The results show that the dominating category is must-be, ie 9 attributes need to be a priority because it is a basic need that must be met.

Abstract

Product developments of post stroke rehabilitation robot have being done either by local universities or by foreign ones. In this development processes, customer needs were identified prior to the use of QFD method, assuming that improved performance of customer needs linearly affects satisfaction level. This assumption frequently does not fit real condition in the market, wherein customer satisfaction on certain needs dramatically increases by an improvement on their performance and, on the other hand, improved performance on other needs does not affect customer satisfaction at all. In this research, we conclude that almost all of attributes under study belong to one-dimentional categories. Exceptions are associated with portable attribute that belong to must-be categoris and moveable attribute that belong to attractive categories. Moreover, price attribute will affect consumer satisfaction the most given it is fullfilled and control attribute will influence customer dissatisfaction the most if it is not fullfilled.

Abstract

Research on smoked fish packaging has only focused on its functional side to increase product life. Meanwhile, research on smoked fish packaging design that focuses on improving and expanding markets has never existed. Until now, smoked fish was sold without packaging even though the amount of production continued to increase. The purpose of this study was to determine consumer preferences for the design of smoked fish packaging. With the recognition of these preferences, it is expected that the smoked fish industry players can apply it so that it can increase the sale value and the number of sales. This study uses focus group discussion as a qualitative method and conjoint analysis as a quantitative method. Color, material, shape, size, brand, and additional information is the attribute chosen at the focus group discussion as a representation of smoked fish packaging to determine the level of its preference. The results of this study indicate that brands have the highest preference compared to others (importance values 30.303%).

Abstract

Abstract   The dynamic of course scheduling is a direct factor to the high density of transport in the university environment. The high intensity of the drive at the University as a result of the scheduling pattern of lectures, of course, followed by the high emissions produced by vehicles are used. The absence of the scheduling pattern lecture addressing impacts on the environment will certainly will confuse this environment with emissions continue discarded by humans. By incorporating the concept of constraint programming with a barrier that consider the impact on the environment in the course scheduling is expected to reduce vehicle emissions college participants. Department of Civil Engineering, as the oldest and largest department in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Diponegoro with an average number of 280 students each object in the application of his generation into the design of our proposed algorithm because it has the most number of vehicles compared to other departments in the Faculty of Engineering. The results of the application of this algorithm, is able to reduce the amount of emissions by 50% for the class of 2011 and 2010 and even 66.6% for the class of 2009 students.

Abstract

Wheat flour consumption in Indonesia continues to increase, so the government must import wheat on a large scale. One of the ways to reduce wheat consumption is by using substitutes. Mocaf (modified cassava flour) is a kind of flour that derived from cassava plants (Manihot esculenta). This flour can be used as a substitute for wheat flour due to its similar characteristics. Even though it has high economic potential, mocaf has only been marketed locally. One of the reason is the lack of quality packaging. The purpose of this study is to identify consumer preferences for mocaf packaging so that they can market the product not only locally but also nationally. In this study, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method with four alternatives (plastic stand up pouch combination, Aluminium foil stand up pouch combination, screen printing plastic pouch, and paper pouch combination) and three criteria (price, model, and durability) is used to determine consumer preferences for mocaf packaging. This research obtained the conclusion that the highest weight for criterion and alternative are price and the screen printing plastic pouch.

Abstract

In 2019, the government planned to achieve sugar self-sufficiency to meet domestic sugar needs. One type of sugar that is most consumed is granulated sugar. In Indonesia, various models, prices, and sizes of sugar are marketed. Competition for producers in selling their products is getting tighter, so they need to understand the criteria that influence consumers in buying granulated sugar. Research on sugar has been conducted, but until now, research on determining the criteria for sugar products has never been conducted. Many factors are the criteria for choosing sugar to be selected by consumers. To find out what alternatives and criteria are preferred by consumers, the method of Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) is used. AHP method consists of several stages that are: hierarchy determination, evaluation of criteria and alternatives, Synthesis of priority, logical consistency, and preference value. From the results of calculations that carried out, it was found that the quality and taste were the highest criteria as a reference for choosing sugar brands.

Abstract

Muslim dominates the total population in Indonesia. Islamic modern retail growth in Indonesia is predicted to increase since Muslims started to consider the religion aspects for their daily life. Nevertheless, there has not been much research on this matter. This study aims to investigate Islamic modern retail attributes for Muslim shoppers in Indonesia. Furthermore, this research will focus on the patronage intention of Muslim shoppers. A sample of 144 consumers of modern Islamic retail in Indonesia was collected. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that Islamic modern retail attributes, such as the Islamic store atmosphere and Islamic value, had a significant positive effect on Muslim shopper’s patronage intention. While other attributes, such as Muslim product, humanistic, and halal product certification, have no significant effect on Muslim shopper’s patronage intention. This study confirmed that each one-unit increase in independent variables, namely Muslim product, Islamic store atmosphere, humanistic, halal product certification, and Islamic value, respectively, will cause an increase in patronage intentions of 0.114, 0.238, 0.025, 0.044, and 0.263 unit.
