Abstract

The following article explores the essence and the integrated education from epistemology point of view, its concept, its curriculum, its object, its goal, its learning process, and the integrated form as an alternative education. According to the writer that the integrated education denotes an alternative education nowadays and in the future. In addition, it is important to formulate the effective form of the integrated system of education should be based on a variety of perspectives. The first step is to formulate the basic of its philosophy, and the next step is how to state the conceptualization of the vision, mission statement, the goal, and afterward the step to decide the effective form so that the system of the integrated education can adapt and response the challenge and the change.

Abstract

Dalam dasawarsa terakhir ini, terlihat fenomena menggembirakan sekaligus menggairahkan kehidupan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan tumbuhnya lembaga-Iembaga pendidikan Islam terpadu di beberapa kota besar. Jenjang pendidikan pada lembaga tersebut mulai tingkat Taman Kanak-kanak, Sekolah Dasar, SLTP serta SMU. Hal tersebut ternyata dapat mengundang simpati umat yang memandangnya sebagai bentuk modernisasi pendidikan Islam, sekaJipun terkadang mengundang munculnya sikap prokontra, terutama menyangkut persoalan beberapa sisi sistem dan biaya pendidikan.

Abstract

Islamic education is a holistic and comprehensive learning process which difference from other education systems, where the system only bringing forward the IQ (Intelligent Quotient) part of the education, neglecting the EQ (Emotional Quotient), SQ (Spiritual Quotient), or TQ (Transcendental Quotient). To avoid this defect, an Islamic education Institute, called Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu which means Integrated Islamic Elementary School, offers a system which doesn't make a distinction those elements. Years after years, after its foundation, the school got a large intake of pupils because of the acceptation of the community, though people have different perception about the system. That's why this paper will reveal the parents' reason of bringing their offspring to that school. The research starts with population but unfortunately only 75 people respond to the questionnaire of the percentage, has been found that there are positive and negative perceptions. To get this standard deviation has to be found, and after it has been found, the normal curve can be calculated. After collecting and analyzing the data, it profs that most respondents have a positive perception towards the SDIT system, especially at the Luqman AI Hakim Elementary School (about 61.4%) and others have a good opinion about the system namely 94%.

Abstract

The concept of the integrated education emerges can be regarded as a process to discover the profile of ideal education. Actually, the term focusing on how to form the model of education that combining various aspects of potentials of learners. The aspects involve the cognition, affection, psychomotor, and the combination among the talent" environmental cultures, and social system. According to the author, that the developing learners' creativity can be conducted as well as possible if there is a conducive situation in education institution. In this respect, the creativity will increase if there is a harmony and conducive interaction between individual personal and his/her environment. For that reason, the ideal education process can produce outcomes who have character, Islamic Civilization, and mastering science and technology constitutes collective responsibility of school, family, and society. In brief, the education is a process and human investment how to produce a qualified human resources.

Abstract

The industrialization implies the changing of many aspects of human life. One of them tends to emerge the orientation of materialism and its consumerism. If this phenomena cannot overcome, can threaten the balancing between inner worldly and otherworldly. The phenomena, particularly the social facts that happen recently, cause rising of parents' afraid of their children's future. In this sense, the emergence of Sekolah Islam Terpadu - The integrated Islamic School becomes an alternative to overcome the problems aforementioned, because it integrates the concept of Islamic education and the method of modern education. We expect that the Integrated Islamic School can become an alternative solution effectively, it is needed to change the approaches of education- from traditional approach to accelerated learning. In this context, there are four important components in accelerated learning. The combination of four components that often called SAVI, namely Somatic (learning by moving and doing), Auditory (learning by talking and hearing), Visual (learning by observing and picturing), and Intellectual (learning by problem and reflecting). But the problem that faced by the Integrated Islamic School is how to pay more attention to affective education.

Abstract

The developing of the Integrated Islamic School in recent years appears the problem especially the using of the term" integrated", besides, the conceptual problem and it is important to clarify and to solve the conceptual problem. The terminology of integrated can narrow Islam as a religion because Islam is only can be regarded as the knowledge of Islamic religion and the general knowledge is not Islamic knowledge. Departing from the discourse on the Integrated Islamic Education mentioned above, it should be placed the problem of the concept of ilm in Islam as diin. Based on the belief of the function of Islam as revelation can guide human life, it is clear that all knowledge /science constitute an Islamic knowledge/science that based on a truth principle and methodology. The right knowledge/science is Islam, whether the knowledge developed in Europe and America or the Middle East, and the wrong knowledge can be regarded as the disbelievers' knowledge. According to the author that the criteria of the right is in accordance with the law of universe and sacred texts and the high grade of the right is only dzanni, relative and probable.

Abstract

The integrated education demands the enjoyable learning and professional teachers. The article below traces an integrated education concept and its learning strategy. The existence of professional teacher means that they can develop internal individual's intellectualities, for instance the potential that still does not appear from learners. The integrated learning will make the material of lesson that taught denotes a valuable unity in the learners' live. The valuable learning experience at school constitutes becoming the demand of the future that needs a strong creativity and mental facing the challenging of future. Besides, the learners have a high education, skill and professionalism. The integrated learning is very useful for the learners especially for whom that needs particular education, because the learners pay attention to the strategy of this learning so that this strategy can motivate the learners. Therefore, it is expected that the outcome of education can solve the problems that possible emerge in their lives including creating a new field of endeavor.
