Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of ginger powder in the feed with different doses of the survival and growth of tilapia fish (Oreochromis Niloticus). The method used is tilapia fish obtained from Fish Seed Center (BBI) is natural. Seed fish used as many as 10 heads/container research. Total container study 12 units with a capacity of each container of 20 liters of water. Research container filled with water of 10 liters. The treatments tested was the administration of different doses of ginger powder in feed tilapia fish. In this study, there were 4 treatment, the dosage of 2.5% (treatment A), the dose of 5% (treatment B), the dose of 7.5% (treatment C), without the provision of ginger powder (treatment D). Research carried out for 6 weeks showed that the growth and survival rate of tilapia fish highest in treatment B (ginger 5%) with an absolute growth of 2.68 gr, 0.0638 g daily growth, and survival rate of 100%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of seaweed soaking liquid seepage towards daily growth rate and production of seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii. The usefulness of this research is the data and information with seepage benefits of seaweed with a test frequency of immersion. This study was conducted in February to the month of March 2014 in BBAP Takalar, Takalar, South Sulawesi Province, tools and materials used jars, aeration, wearing a green, plastic bag crop thermometer, pH-meter, hand refractometer, Scales, autoclave, sliding bar, knife Kutter, Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed, seawater, detergent and distilled water. The experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with treatments and 3 replications and 1 control. Treatment A (1 time), treatment B (2 times), the carrying out of the C (3 times), the carrying out of D (control). Testing frequency leakage liquid immersion using seaweed as liquid fertilizer correlated to the growth and production of seaweed daily. The average daily relative growth rate and production are considered to be effective is the treatment C with a frequency of immersion 3 times each (0.0357% / day and 1,5000gr / m2) and lowest in D without soaking treatment (control) respectively (0.0094% / day and 0,3967gr / m2).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of Skeletonema Costatum fostered optimal rumen fluid in increasing the survival rate of Vannamei shrimp larvae. The method used is Vannamei shrimp larvae stadia zoea obtained from the hatchery in North Galesong. Vannamei shrimp larvae are used as many as 200 birds/container research. Total container study 12 units with a capacity of each container as much as 45 liters of water but only filled with 20 liters of water. The treatments tested was feeding with different densities against Vannamei shrimp larvae survival. In this study, there are three treatments, namely feeding fostered rumen fluid with a density of 300 ml / container (treatment A), feeding fostered rumen fluid with a density of 400 ml / container (treatment B), feeding fostered rumen fluid with a density 500 ml / container (treatment C), and without the provision of rumen fluid (treatment D). Results of research on the best treatment obtained in treatment C (feeding with a frequency of 500 ml/container) with a survival rate of 55.33%. Need to pay attention to water quality parameters in order to stay in decent condition for the survival of Vannamei shrimp larvae.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the state of socio-ecological adaptation of coastal communities to the development of seaweed cultivation, and the dynamics of technostructure of coastal communities in the development of seaweed farming in Sub Lamalaka, District Bantaeng. The usefulness of this research is as information for the government to educate coastal communities in environmental preservation seaweed farming so that those resources can be used sustainably. This research was conducted in March and April 2010 in the village of Lamalaka, District Bantaeng, Bantaeng. This location was chosen intentionally (purposive) in consideration that the area is an area of development of the cultivation of seaweed (E. Cottonii) at the same seaweed production areas in South Sulawesi. The method used is the snowball sampling method with the number of informants as many as 23 people. The results showed that the adaptation of the socio-ecology of coastal communities in Sub Lamalaka occurs through the relationship of social interaction between the members of coastal communities which are then adapted to the conditions of suitability to the development of seaweed farming sustainable and in the form of the dynamics of techno structures that are in a transitional phase between the use of irrational becomes rational technology.

Abstract

The use of probiotics as an attempt to improve the cultivation environment and suppress the disease proved to help overcome some of the problems in shrimp farming. This study aims to determine the exact concentration of probiotics in shrimp maintenance Vanannamei and see the effects on water quality, growth, survival, and shrimp production Vannammei. Research carried out on a laboratory scale by using 12 aquariums measuring 30 x 25 cm with a volume of 25 liters each aquarium filled sized shrimp with stocking density 20 birds. Probiotics mixed premises of feed and given 4 times a day with a concentration corresponding treatments, A = 3 PPM, B = 4 PPM, C = 5 PPM and D controls that are set in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. During maintenance of shrimp fed as much as 5% of the total biomass with a frequency of 4 times/day, the results of research addressing that administration of probiotics with different concentrations significantly affected the growth and survival of Shrimp Vannamae although not significantly affect water quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the formulation of tilapia Oreochromis Niloticus. While the usefulness of a public information materials for farmers tilapia Oreochromis Niloticus in determining the type of feed the good order growth and increasing production. Research carried out for 2 months starting from September to October 2015 held at the Fish Farming Center, District Bontorannu, Gowa, South Sulawesi Province. Test animals used are tilapia fish age 1 month with a size of 3-5 cm a total of 120 individuals. Doses tested different treatments namely A (10%), B (15%), C (30 20%) and D controls. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey's test further. Results of research conducted during the two months showed that the mixing of the rumen to feed tilapia fish was lowest for the treatment of B (15%), without the mix feed the rumen which is highest in the control treatment.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of planting depth of seaweed (Caulerpa sp) is different to growth, as well as the depth of planting is best for the growth of seaweed Caulerpa sp. The experimental design of this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments ie different planting depths are: 50 cm, 100 cm and 150 cm, each treatment was repeated 3 test kali.Parameter absolute growth and daily growth rate is using ANOVA and followed by LSD test. Based on these results, value - average absolute growth (PM) was obtained at a depth of 50 cm is (197.5 g) followed by a depth of 100 cm (177.5 g) and the lowest at a depth of 150 cm (114.3 g). Results of water quality measurements at the site of the research is still in the ideal conditions for the growth of Caulerpa sp.

Abstract

The study of the population of Vibrio sp isolated from water and sediment in semi-intensive ponds with a different percentage of doses of feed carried on the pond size 2500 m2 as 8 plot consisting of 6 plots the treatment and 2 plots reservoir. Shrimp used size PL 12 with dense stocking 25 tail/m2 maintained for 100 days. The treatments tested were to compare the percentage of feed between day and night. Treatment A = 100% at day and 0% at night, treatment B = 60% at day and 40% during the night, treatment C = 80% at day and 20% during the night. Each treatment was repeated twice. The results showed that population of bacteria in the sediment pond were in the range of 106 to 1012 CFU /mL. While the population of bacteria in water was in the range of 103 to 109 CFU/mL. Populations of Vibrio sp. in the pond sediment for all treatments during the study were in the range of 103 to 105 CFU/ mL. While in aqueous media is still in the range of 101 to 103 CFU/mL for all treatments. In general, bacterial populations are found in both sediment and water pond on the media is still in a safe range for the growth of cultured organisms.
