Abstract

Introduction: Since the COVID-19 or novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) happened in December 2019, the number of cases has been rapidly increasing. To reducing the speed of infection, nations around the world have been doing movement control order (MCO) to their city for some time. The evidence shows that MCO can help many countries controlling the pandemic. The other effects of MCO is a change in air quality and gas emissions. The current study made for collecting evidence of how MCO affect air quality and gas emissions in several areas. This study aimed to explore if there are any positive and negative effects of movement control order (MCO) to air quality and gas emissions of areas that doing so. Discussion: During the movement control order (MCO) period, human outdoor activities have significantly reduced, affecting industrial operations reduction significantly, transportations, and other activities like constructions that leads to reduction of emissions. But there is increase of O3 and indoor pollution because of household activities increase. Many countries show that there are changes in air quality because of changes in human behaviour during movement control order. Conclusion: Current Studies concludes that the COVID-19 pandemic brings changes in air quality and emissions, as MCO, quarantine, and lighter traffic affect to better air quality outdoor, but, there is also increase of indoor pollutions. It is recommended that human should to maintain air quality by making reduction of unnecessary activities that make air quality worse.

Abstract

Introduction: WHO has announced coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid19) as a global pandemic at the immune decline, one of which is due to chronic exposure to ambient air pollution. This literature review aims to describe the impact of ambient air pollution toward the risk of being infected by Covid19. Discussion: Covid19 can be found in a bat (host primer), and can be contagious through a person, also possible from pets. The symptoms that sufferers will perceive are fever, cough, diarrhea, myalgia, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomit, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and some asymptomatic people. The body's immunity affects a person's susceptibility to Covid19 infection. The body's immunity can be affected by ambient air pollution (with PM10, PM2,5, and O3 are the most pollutant in the air in various countries) for an extended period could be the reason for chronic illness (especially, respiratory tract) could reduce immune resistance. Furthermore, it might be happened on increasing at ACE2 activity and can cause increasing infected by Covid19. Prevention action can be done by contributing from all of the sectors at an observance in guarding, physical distancing, quarantine, and maintaining the ambient air quality in the future. Conclusion: Ambient air pollution must be considered as one effort to prevent chronic illness that can reduce immunity, which can increase the risk of being infected with Covid19. Furthermore, future studies will be carried out on ACE2 activity in people infected with Covid19 in order to get more valid results and following current conditions.

Abstract

Introduction: 2019-nCoV as the term for the new coronavirus that causes outbreaks of pneumonia in Wuhan City, central China by the World Health Organization (WHO), on June 28, 2020, to confirm as many as 9,843,073 cases globally, Therefore, efforts to be made to prevent the spread of this virus must be done immediately and very urgently. The purpose of literature is to discuss the global response to Covid19 and find prevention strategies in the form of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) or non-pharmaceutical interventions. Discussion: This literature review using PICO and PRISMA techniques in extracting the research data based on inclusion and exclusion criteria of several articles on the Database PubMed, Science Direct, and Wiley Online. The readiness of the Government, both in conducting initial screening (Rapid test), readiness of referral hospitals, limiting areas and activities as well as awareness of citizens in implementing new habit adaptations, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance and washing hands regularly are the keys to preventing the spread of the Covid19 virus. Conclusion: articles search from multiple databases, with filtering 2015-2020 study, found as many as 7 Full-text research articles, in the face of a pandemic, we need the readiness of the government, health and infrastructure support as well as coordination and cooperation among all parties.

Abstract

Introduction: Corona disease-19 virus (COVID-19) spread and caused a pandemic that affected people all over the world. COVID-19 is also called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus Disease (SARS-CoV). Discussion: COVID-19 is a β-coronavirus serotype which is a single strain of RNA virus and was an outbreak in 2002 (SARS-CoV) and 2012 (MERS-CoV). COVID-19 has Open Reading Frames (ORFs) consisting of Spikes (S), Envelopes (E), Membranes (M), and Nucleocapsids (N) with S parts being a glycoprotein that can attach to receptors owned by host cells, the receptors are CD 26, ACE-2, Ezrin, and Cyclophilins with the main receptor being ACE-2 in the lung organs. Process would evoke a host body's immune response consisting of natural and adaptive immune systems, involving the Antigen Presenting Cell (APC) system which consists of two, namely: Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class I and II. APC could also generate adaptive immune system, consists of B and T cells. COVID-19 had the ability to survive in B and T cells, so that cytokine-chemokine secretion continues to be known as cytokine storm that trigger Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and death. Conclusion: The recovery prognosis of COVID-19 depended on the detection of COVID-19 patients because it was related to the severity of ARDS, so the earlier it was detected, the greater the chance of recovery.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 is a unique disease that was first confirmed in Wuhan, Wubei, China in late 2019 and within 6 months the virus spread rapidly throughout the world. The obscurity in overcoming this virus is the background of the interventions applied. Several interventions conducted, such as nationwide lockdowns, quarantine and isolation. In addition to avoid the virus transmission, these interventions also have psychological impacts that affect the mental health. Methods: We did a review of the mental health outcomes referring to several interventions amid COVID-19 outbreak using two databases. Out of 302 papers found by the search engine, 5 articles were counted in this review. Discussion: Most reviewed researches proclaimed adverse mental health problems, along with anxiety, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Stressors consist of infection fears, grieves, boredom, stigma, faulty information, short sleep duration, and minimum social activities. Several researchers have proposed abiding effects. Conclusion: Social interventions which are imposed limit the process of meeting the needs of human life. It is crucial to point out the mental health of the population and take charge to diminish its adverse effects for the time being. Therefore, the Government needs to implement a strict and fair policy, especially on the issue of community survival. Public health protocol socialization needs to be done, especially in controlling the transmission of viruses in public places, such as malls, public transportations, schools, workplaces, and many other.

Abstract

Introduction: The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 has become a real hazard and affects many sectors, one of them is education. The high number of new cases has made several countries to implement lockdown and quarantine policies. This policy caused several schools and universities to be closed to break the chain of transmission. Besides, the indirect effect of COVID19 is the mental disorder of the society, including students, that is getting worse. Mental disorder has become a growing health problem and requires more attention. This study aimed to explore the risk factors affecting students' mental disorder at the period of the COVID19 pandemic based on the previously performed research from published journals. Discussion: Of the 394 literature that has been searched in Pubmed and Science Direct, by entering the keywords of coronavirus, mental disorder, education, and universities, it obtained 7 articles in accordance with inclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria in this study included articles published in 2019 and 2020, articles categorized as original research articles, articles written in English, and articles discussed mental disorder in students since the COVID19 pandemic. The results of the study showed that in countries with quite high COVID19 cases, the risk factors affecting students' health were news about new case rates, mortality rates, and COVID19 cure rates. Conclusion: Mental disorder disorders experienced by students during the pandemic were anxiety, stress, and depression. For further research, it is expected to provide recommendations for activities that can prevent students' mental disorder to not worse during the pandemic.
