Abstract

The purpose of this study to improve (1) the skills of scientific work, (2) the cognitive abilities of students of class X-A1 at SMAN 2 Malang through the application of models Group Investigation (GI) combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL). Type of research is Action Research Action (PTK) with research subjects-A1 class X SMAN 2 Malang. Data collected by the research instrument consisting of a sheet of observation skills of scientific work, scientific work reports, students' cognitive abilities tests, field notes and enforceability of teacher learning, and qualitatively analyzed descriptively. Results of the study are: (1) Model Group Investigation (GI) combined Problem Based Learning (PBL) improve the skills of scientific work class X-A1 at SMAN 2 Malang, (2) Model Group Investigation (GI) combined Problem Based Learning (PBL) improve the cognitive abilities of X-A1 grade students at SMAN 2 Malang. Based on the discussion of the proposed suggestions in this study were: (1) application of the combined GImodel of PBL, can not be carried out independently entirely by students, (2) the need for time management as effectively as possible, to avoid the addition of excess time.

Abstract

The aim of research to determine the diversity of plant species of moss in the forest areas  around the reservoir Kedung Brubus Pilang Kenceng District of Madison County , based on the external structure and taxonomy , as the building blocks of high school biology lab manual mosses ( Bryophyta ) .Teknik research exploration , consisting of 6 points location as a decision mosses around the reservoir Kedung Brubus . Moss plants were found to be observed , identified, noted habitat , research location on the chart observations , documented and made herbarium . The results of the study there are 10 species Leucophanes glaucum, Thiudium investa, Polytrichum commune, Garovaglia plicata, Chenidium lychnites, Meteorium miquelianum, ricissa sp, Pogonotum cirrhatum, Fissidens cristatus, Barbrlla enervis.

Abstract

The development of rapid information technology makes learners freed in obtaining teaching materials. One of them is a web-based teaching materials. The purpose of the research is to produce a web-based teaching materials on the subjects of Environmental Sciences to enhance student motivation Budi Utomo Malang Teachers' Training College. Development of teaching materials based website using ADDIE models. Development research was conducted from April to December 2015. Based on the results of validation material obtained from the value of 80% and the media expert validation and design to get the value of 93.75% and 83.33%, it means that the teaching materials developed have been fit for use as an ingredient supportingteaching Environmental Science course, but still be revised on the advice and comments from experts as well as students. Web-based teaching materials have been developed and tested on students can create and enhance motivation sebesar 85,75.%.

Abstract

Dependence on certain essential food commodities has led to the difficulty of overcoming  food availability. One of the food that has potential as a substitute for staple foods are sweet potatoes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the lactic acid concentration and soaking time on the glucose contant and quality sweet potato flour. The research is quantitative with RAL factorial 2 x 1 in 3 times repetition. The factor of research are variation of lactic acid concentration (0%, 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%) and variation of lactic acid soaking time (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes).Research use titration Na-tiosulfat to collect the data of glucose contant. Anava two tail is used to examine the hypothesis continued with BNJ examination. The result of hypothesis shows that sig t (variation of lactic acid concentration and variation of lactic acid soaking time) for glucose contant in sweet potato flour 0,000 with significance degree 0,05. From result above, the conclusion is variation of lactic acid concentration and variation of lactic acid soaking time affect the glucose contant and quality sweet potato flour.

Abstract

One of the solutions to pursue lack of the aquaculture technology is to provide a training program for fish farmer.This research was used using the analysis of factors affecting the training effectiveness. Objective of the research were to measure the causality relations of the training equipment factor, the quality of the participants and the material, the provision of the training methods, and the quality of the trainers toward the effectiveness of training program. Object ofthe research was the Purnawidya of aquaculture training in the Banyuwangi Training Center which spread out in 3 provinces with over 105 participated. Data were analyzed by using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results shows that equipments have a positive significant impact toward the effectiveness of the training and the efficiency of the aquaculture performance. The quality of the training and the material, the methods, and the quality of the trainers notsignificant impacted the of effectiveness of the training program. The result recommends that the Banyuwangi Training Center need to improve the criteria for selecting the participants, the quality of the materials, and to improve the quality of the trainers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of formaldehyde used as a preservative in driedfish that circulate in the Great Market Madiun and organoleptic salted fish containing formalin.The samples in this study used purposive sampling is a sampling technique with specificconsiderations. Two salted fish samples taken in the North, two samples were taken in the south,two samples were taken in the West, two samples were taken in the east, and two samples weretaken in the central Great Market Madiun. Questionnaire data collection using questionnaires anddocumentation. Results showed that the formaldehyde content in dried fish balur, peda, and terican be determined with Fehling method. If salted fish samples (+) containing formalin there willbe changes color from blue to green color and there are deposits of red brick, while the sample ()containing formalin will remain blue when heated and there is a brick red precipitate. Of 30samples of dried fish salted fish only 1 (-) contain formaldehyde, which is peda salted fish west.Organoleptic clean white color most preferred by the panelists as much as 92% panelists found insamples dried fish balur middle east. Is not the typical organoleptic flavor of salted fish mostpreferred by the panelists as much as 78% of the panelists found in fish samples salted teri east.Organoleptic chewy texture intact most preferred by the panelists as much as 88% and there is apanelist on the samples salted fish teri middle.

Abstract

Learning biology is one area of Natural Sciences (IPA) which is integral with practical  activities. The lab activities are very important in understanding science concepts. One material that requires practical learning activities more meaningful so that the material of plant growth and development of class XII Science. It would require new innovation in the development lab manual. This study aims to make research the effect of duration of use and dose of manure mulchon plant growth chili as the building blocks lab manual.This research was conducted using a "Research and Development" (Research and Development). At this stage of research using Grid Design Divided (RPT) which uses two treatments, use of mulch and manure dose use with penggulangan 3 times, while in the Development stage using the results of research into practical instructions were validated by various experts. Based on the results of research and development,we can conclude several things: study the effect of long use of mulch and a dose of manure on the growth of chili can be used as the building blocks of manual lab work with Highlights Growth and Development Plant class XII Science developed in this study expressed very valid, based validation results from two experts namely materials experts and media specialists, with a 88% value validation.

Abstract

Rhodamin is one of additional food ingredient which often used to recolour the food.The additional food ingredient contains carsinogenic which can affect our health with a cancer asthat ingredient is not acceptable ingredient for food. Unfortunately,many Indonesian do not knowwhether the syntetical ingredients can be used or that is being prohibited to use. The purpose ofthis research is not only to observe whether there is Rhodamin B inside the tomato sauces aroundMadiun, but also to get the result of the analysis as the mateial for aditif subtance experiment inBio-chemical lesson. Furthermore, this descriptive qualitative research used non randomsampling as its technique. The sample is taken from pentol seller, mie ayam seller and baksoseller. The samples are being analyzed with Kremtografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). The result of theanalysis showed that all of the sample is negative. On the other hand, there is no Rhodamin B onit. The indicated sample has the same Rf with Rhodamin B. It will change it color into red as itsresponse toward H2SO4 and HCl. The sample also being compared with wantex. The resultshowed that the Rf samples had A3, A4, A5, B4, B5,C1, C2, C3, C4 dan C5. Based on the result,the assumption of the samples is that the samples have wantex material on it

Abstract

During this time the students learning system, especially on the structure of animals in biology education IKIP PGRI MADIUN. information presented in the form of modules still no or less so difficult to accept students in particular about the material or preparations that are less known as well as local reptile anatomy that is found around the neighborhood students. The aim of developing local reptile anatomy modules in subjects animal structure. Research using 4-Dmodel of development (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Results of development in the form of draft module to be tested and improved understanding of the concept of students. The trial results are obtained material content of the course structure validator experts percentage of 86.66% was obtained animals can be categorized valid (good). The trial results stating that: 1) the modules worth diujicabakan field and very helpful in learning the anatomy of reptiles 2) Students are more familiar with preparations anatomy reptiles as obtained from the student environment and the result of understanding the concept of students with test pre test and posh test through the test T is obtained thitung 15.22> ttable 1,717 or able to enhance student understanding of concepts. Limitations modules developed only compiled on the subject of local reptile anatomy

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the activity and student achievement on thematerial using instructional media ecosystem crossword puzzle with Talking Stick models. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Kartoharjo, with theobject of research students VIIE class with 15 students. Data collection is done is by testing,observation and documentation in the form of a check list. The research process was conductedin two cycles each includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation andreflection stages. In the present study showed an increase in activity and student achievement inlearning biology. It can be seen from the increase in the number of students who completed theKKM is ≥75. In the student activity before any action there are 3 students (20%), following thecycle I increased to 7 students (46.6%), the second cycle to 13 students (86.6%) completed. Onstudent achievement also increased the number of students who completed the pre cycle, the firstcycle to the second cycle. Pre cycle 5 students ((33.3%), after the first cycle of action has increasedthere are 8 students (53.3%), the second cycle, there were 13 students (86.6%) completed.Improved completeness KKM students make the mean value the average grade also increasedfrom 54.0 to 70.6 before and increased to 84.3. improvement in cognitive aspects seen from theresults of the post test showed increased learning achievement siswayang biology. Can be seenfrom the increase in the percentage of students completeness, ie the cycle I as much as 53.3% to86.6% in the second cycle. Based on these studies it can be concluded that by using a learningmodel dengann Talking Stick media crossword puzzles can increase the activity of class andstudent achievement VIIE SMP Negeri 1 Kartoharjo.
