Abstract

Tourist accommodations in Jepara Regency are focalized on only a number of strategic tourist locations. As such, their insufficient spread constrains tourist accessibility to necessities. This article analyzes and specify locations in Jepara Regency that may be developed into tourist accommodations such so that they are optimally distributed to boost and optimize tourism activities. The analysis carried out employed the weighted overlay quantitative research approach using Geographic Information System software. From the analysis, a map of recommendation was made containing the optimal locations in Jepara Regency to be developed into tourist accommodations consisted of the North, East, and West regions. The locations were determined in consideration of potential for visual beauty, accessibility, proximity to tourist attractions, accessibility to public facilities, proximity to city center, land use, and the slope of land. This study recommends that the government continues to mediate the development of accommodations so as not to be overly centered in the western part of Jepara and considers the regional capacity and environmental conditions of the area in the next few years. Furthermore, the government needs to strengthen the tourism systems in the northern and eastern regions so that these regions are prepped in time to be developed. Keywords: Accommodation, Tourism, Optimal Location

Abstract

Poverty and employment are socio-economic issues that are often a problem in Indonesia, including in the West Sumatra. The high poverty and unemployment rates in West Sumatra cause its people trying to make use of their capital to survive. One of the basic components utilized by the community is the availability of land. However, the level of inequality in the distribution of land tenure and ownership is quite high. To solve these problems, government development the Agrarian Reform Program. One of the locations of the agrarian program is Pasaman Regency. The use of land as an effort to support people's livelihoods depends on the livelihood strategies and influences livelihood outcomes. The livelihood outcome depends on external and internal factors that are inherent in people's livelihoods, as stated in the Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF). This research uses the SLF method because the SLF can be used to sharpen the monitoring and evaluation system in development projects. Since 2019, this activity had never been evaluated and it is not yet known how it will impact the community's sustainable livelihoods. Therefore, this study aims to examine the factors that influence the impact of the implementation of the agrarian reform program on the livelihoods of the people in Pasaman Regency. The research results show that the agrarian reform program provides livelihood outcomes in the form of increased welfare, increased income and reduced community vulnerability. This livelihood achievement is influenced by the community's ability to manage livelihood capital, the level of vulnaberality and the transformation of structures and processes to support the community's sustainable livelihoods.

Abstract

Maluku Province is an area with minimal access to sanitation because of its archipelagic location. Access to sanitation is one indicator of sustainable development goals (SDGs) that must archive in 2030. To achieve sustainable universal sanitation access, an indicator is needed that can be used to make policies that can grow access to proper sanitation. This study aims to determine the factors that can improve sanitation in Maluku Province. The development of livable housing must also pay attention to access and proper sanitation. This study used secondary data to analyze multilinear regression of socioeconomic impact on access to sanitation. Economic growth affects people's welfare. Economic growth is usually followed by a reduction in poverty, an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI), and an expansion of employment opportunities. This study uses secondary data from 2006 to 2016. Integrating human development, reducing poverty, and increasing residential ownership is needed to increase Maluku Province's sanitation access. With improved policies and better master plans for improving the quality of social variables, this variable will also affect increasing access to sanitation in Maluku Province. Abstract

Mobility reduction is believed to effectively reduce the spread of Covid-19 disease by lowering the SARS-COV-2 transmission in the population. A big data platform consists of a big scale of anonymized smartphone location data collected by Citydash.ai and presented as mobility data during the pandemic time to help humanity control the spreading of Covid-19 in Indonesia. This research aims to find the relation between mobility and population density to the spread of Covid-19 in Yogyakarta City and its surrounding areas, Indonesia, by using GIS to visualize the mobility, population density and Covid-19. This research also used a simple correlation method by making a cross-tabulation of the data to verify the relation between variables. This research found that mobility into Yogyakarta City and its surrounding area relates to its Covid-19 spread. At the same time, this research also found that mobility inside the area, mobility out of the area, and population density did not relate to the expansion of Covid-19 in Yogyakarta City and its surrounding areas. This anomaly should be considered in the Covid-19 mitigation or similar diseases to help public health, data-driven decision-making, and improving community response to Covid-19.
