Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi UHO : Jurnal Penelitian Kajian Ilmu Komunikasi dan Informasi Is a journal of scientific in the form of research results in communication and information science. This journal is published 4 times a year (January, April, July and October) published by the Laboratorium Ilmu Komunikasi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik Universitas Halu Oleo, Kendari. Articles are written in Indonesian and English. Each text that is published will go through the verification and editing process by the editor and the articles will be reviewed using a double-blind review system by the partners who are competent in their field. This journal is expected to be a medium for researchers / writers who want to publish the results of their research so that it can become a reference for further studies related to the study of Communication and information. Scope of the Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi UHO : Penelitian Kajian Ilmu Komunikasi dan Informasi covers communication management, mass media (TV, Radio, Newspapers), public relations, marketing communications, political communication, organizational communication, cultural communication, online media and popular culture. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT The principal issues raised in this research is how Contextual Communication Model and Visitor Librarian in Supporting Services Circulation. The purpose of this research was to determine and describe the Contextual Communication Model and Visitor Librarian Circulation Services to Support the library and archives southeast Sulawesi region. In this study, the authors used the descriptive research to describe the facts and the properties of the relationship between the phenomenon investigated. With the qualitative methods to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the subject of research by describing and collect data through literature and field by interview and observation with 12 informants as a data source. The results showed that the implementation of the Capital Communications Contextual Librarian and visitors to Support Services Circulation of the library and archives area in Southeast Sulawesi in principle is already well underway ranging from Media communication and interest in reading run optimally because it is supported by adequate funding so that the Support Services circulation only through donations and so it was appropriate interest in reading that is expected to users / pemustaka. Meaning "Lawero" As a symbol in the city of Baubau (Study Communicators Baubau City community leaders), Supervising La Ode Jumaidin and Hasriani Amin. The problem of this research is no understanding of understanding, both community leaders or the general public about lawero which became one of the symbols in Baubau city that gave birth to symbolize different things between the people in the city Baubau. This study aims to identify and analyze the meaning lawero as a symbol in the city of Baubau. This paper is based on the theory of the symbol being addressed by Susanne Langer. This research method using descriptive qualitative method. Determination of informants by purposive sampling (intentionally). The data collected by observation, interview and documentation. This research shows that, Statues Lawero tail shows the tail end of the upright leads to the ground. And the head of the statue shows the face and abdomen Lawero lawero of land. Describing animal resembling a dragon, are very large and able to redeem a layer of soil, air and sea, in charge of guarding and protecting people and communities Baubau city so as to create wealth and prosperity together. Symbols and Communication Process Indigenous Leader to Culture Ekah Sundanese (Studies Ethnography of Communication at the Sundanese society in the Village Atula , District Ladongi , East Kolaka Timur) supervising I Masrul, S.Ag., M.Si and supervising II by Joko, S.Sos, M.Si The Problems in this study Any communication symbol contained in a ceremony ekah ( Aqiqah ) and how the communication process of traditional leaders about ekah ( Aqiqah ) in maintaining Sundanese culture in Sub atula Eastern District of Kolaka Ladongi, The purpose of this study was to determine the communication symbol contained in ekah ceremony and traditional leaders about the communication process ekah in maintaining Sundanese culture, The benefits of this research are theoretically : this study is expected to add to and expand the horizons of the theory ethnography of communication , practical : this study is expected to provide input to the community that will become traditional leaders to maintain the original culture Sundanese , methodologically : for further research , it can be used as one of the reference materials and reference in conducting research in connection with symbols and communication processes ekah traditional leaders against ethnic Sundanese culture.Subjects in this study were traditional leaders and community leaders who know clearly about the ceremony ekah Sundanese . Mechanical determination of informants in this study be done by purposive sampling technique which is chosen deliberately by considering that the informant in question know and memehami true heart of the problem , with the number of informants as many as seven people . The data collected was analyzed using analysis of ethnography of communication . These results indicate that the symbols contained in the ceremony ekah include symbols verbal embodied in the form of nadoman and non - verbal embodied in the form of property or objects contained therein while the communication process custom figure includes the primary communication are realized in the form of delivering a message to his family and the secondary process manifested in the form of delivering a message to the community that the ceremony ekah Sundanese conserved and respect and preserve Sundanese heritage.Keywords: Symbol Of Communication , Communication Process , Sundanese traditional figure , Ekah Culture Sundanese.]]>

Behavioural Communication Workers Kumarakom Boat Harbour City Kendari (Ethnography Ethnic Studies Muna Against Values and Work Motivation) with a primary supervisor Mr. La Ode Jumaidin, S.Sos.M.Si and Mr. Masrul, S.Ag.M. Si as a mentor two. This study aims to determine the communication behavior docker boat bases kendari city. Subjects in this study were all docker boat base of 160 people, informant who used 10 people representing. Technics determination of informants using purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, and literature and documentation, while data analysis techniques using seruksi analysis and presentation of data. From the analysis of the data indicates that the docker boat base includes people who know and understand how the expression should be used. They can use expressions to the right and be able to use feelings / emotions within oneself through expressions and body movements are shown in both verbal and non-verbal.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah Kompas.Com Memberikan Ekseskusi Mati Bali Nine Cs. Dalam Pemberitaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kasus eksekusi mati bali nine dalam harian kompas.com dalam bentuk fakta pemberitaan melalui median online. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penelitian perpustakaan melalui model analisis framing Roberret E Etman. Bersumbar dari data dokumen berita harian Kompa.Com dalam kurung waktu 2005 – 2015. Data penelitian di analisis dalam tiga tahapan yaikni; subjuk penelitian, isi berita dan framing yang digunakan. Berita yang di analisis mencakup judul, rubrik,halaman,edisi dan nama hariana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitin diperoleh bahwa pemberitaan yang dilakukan oleh harian Kompas.Com sesuai framenya atau terfokus pada aspek hukumnya saja. Hal ini dapa dilihat dari beberapa pemberitaan menyangkut kronologi penangkapan,proses persidangan,penahanan,grasi hinga sampai hukuman mati. Meskipun begitu terdapat pula beberapa berita yang keluar dari frame hukum (out off framing) pada aspek politik dan hubungan internasional terutama upanaya grasi. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the function of public relations in improving the quality of health care at the Regional General Hospital (RGH) Kendari City. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and data collection techniques are used interview, observation and document. Data analysis was performed based on primary and secondary data that during the study. The results showed that the function of public relations in improving the quality of health services at the RGH Kendari City, namely: (1) support the activities of the management and the achievement of objectives, supporting the activities of the Regional General Hospital Kendari City began planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of the work, (2) creating a two-way communication to the public through the delivery of information or policies important related health services in hospitals and distribute back information from the public to the management RGH Kendari City, (3) serve the public and provide information management, namely PR disseminate needed information public and giving information to leaders in connection with health services in hospitals in the public interest, and (4) fostering a harmonious relationship that PR RGH of Kendari always maintained a public relations internally which is doing a good relationship with the users of health services and fostering good relationships with the users of the service externally as one effort improve the quality of health care at the RGH Kendari City. <![CDATA[Abstract The problem in this research are the meaning of symbols Carving is Pa 'Manuk Londong in Toraja Society and How to Use of Symbols Carving Pa' Manuk Londong in Toraja people. The purpose of this research were to determine the meaning of the symbols carved Pa 'Manuk Londong and use symbols carved Pa' Manuk Londong the Toraja people. The location of this research was held in Lamunde village, District Tinondo, East Kolaka. The used theory is the symbol theory by Susanne Langer. In this research the number of informants as many as 5 people to represent the Toraja society. Data used in this research is qualitative data and data analysis techniques used in this research is qualitative interpretative analysis. The results of this research indicate that the symbol Carving Pa 'Manuk Londong used Torajanese the Toraja traditional house (Tongkonan and reeds) and duplicate Toraja traditional house that is in use by the Toraja people both in Tanah Toraja (Toraja Regency and North Toraja) and the there is the migration areas that have significance both in terms of its use, color engravings and drawings roosters used. This research is expected to provide benefits and contributions of Sciences for the community, especially for Toraja people in overseas. This research is also expected to served the benefit in the development of Communication Studies, especially on research Meaning Use of Symbols Carving "Pa 'Manuk Londong" In the Toraja people. <![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this research is how type of anxiousness communication and what kind of element make something to come to the surface anxiousness communication of ethnic students of Papua on relation among ethnic in Halu Oleo University. This research aimed to identify and analyze: (1) anxiousnees communication form of ethnic students of Papua on relation among ethnic in Halu Oleo Universty, (2) what make something to come to the surface factor of anxiousness communication. The approach used in this research is anxiety/uncertainty management theory by William Gudykunst 1988, with qualitative research, this research apply purposive sampling as culling informant in a intentional manner grounded on aim and researcher’s requirement, with consideration that informant could hand over official statement concerning the problems that for perusal. The location of research carried on Halu Oleo University accompanying ten people from the students of Papua’s ethnic in Halu Oleo University. The data used in this research descriptive qualitative. The research findings showed that the form of anxiousness communication ethnic students of Papua on relation among ethnic on this research divide two shape: (1) indeterminancy on communicating the ethnic students of Papua exhibit hesitancy at the first time they braid connection with the others student, they disposed to cleared the track to do communicated to the others student whom they didn’t knew previously, as conciseness can we said that the indeterminancy turn up because the hesitancy. Interdeteminancy composed four matter one other thing: interdeteminancy at the early connection, alleviate process interdeteminancy, self identification, and self reliance the students of the ethnic students of Papua on relation among ethnic. (2) anxiousness communication be intended on this research is anxiety, hesitancy, afraid by perceived ethnic students of Papua on communicated. At this point divide on two shape: (a) surroundings situation, and (b) style of life some ethnic students of Papua cause something to be experienced disparity bringing on them to feel anxiousness when they initiate a communicating to the others student.
