MIQOT: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman is a peer reviewed academic journal, established in 1976 as part of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan (see: video), dedicated to the publication of scholarly articles in various branches of Islamic Studies, by which exchanges of ideas as research findings and contemporary issues are facilitated. MIQOT is accredited as an academic journal by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia (SK Dirjen Dikti No. 040/P/2014) valid through February 2019. Abstract

Abstract : This research examines the views of Mohammed Arkoun and Hasan Hanafi on Wasatiyah Islam in Indonesia. Both Muslim scholars emphasize the importance of interfaith dialogue and the wise application of religion. This research uses a literature review to collect data from the works of Arkoun, Hanafi, and other relevant sources on Islam and Wasatiyah in Indonesia. The results showed that Arkoun and Hanafi had a significant influence on Wasatiyah Islam in Indonesia. Wasatiyah Islam encourages interfaith harmony and religious diversity through dialog and inclusiveness. The research findings imply that the ideas of Arkoun and Hanafi are important for Wasatiyah Islam in Indonesia and can help develop a moderate and inclusive outlook.Keywords : Indonesia, Islam, Wasatiyah,  interfaith harmony,  religious diversity

Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the role of Imam Abu Hynifah in the spread of moderate Islam. Through an analytical and descriptive research approach, the study investigates whether Imam Abu Hynifah can be considered one of the leading scholars in Wasatiah Islam and explores the impact of his views on the spread of moderate Islamic teachings around the world. The research draws on a variety of sources, including books, Imam Abu Hynifah’s writings, and relevant articles from academic journals. This article presents a comprehensive analysis of Imam Abu Hynifah’s views and contributions to Islamic jurisprudence. Abstract

Abstract: Westernization seems to have affected the way Indonesian society thinks. This is evidenced by the identity and character crisis as well as a lifestyle that is slowly starting to ignore spiritual elements. In response to this, Universitas Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA) took an important step by establishing the Center for Islamic and Occidental Studies (CIOS) which focuses on the study of Islam and occidentalism. This article analyzes the role of CIOS in achieving the goal of restoring Islamic civilization. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through books, journals, and media related to the topic. The study found that westernization significantly affected the intellectual and political aspects of Indonesian society.Keywords: CIOS, Occidentalism, westernisation, orientalism, Islamic civilization.

Abstract

Abstract: This article presents research results on moderation (wasthiyyah) values at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the interpretation and internalization of the values   of moderation in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor education. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study concluded that the values   of moderation in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor are interpreted as an integral part of the Five Souls of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor which include: a soul of sincerity, a spirit of simplicity, a spirit of independence, a spirit of Islamic brotherhood and a spirit of freedom. The values of moderation in the five souls are comprehensively internalized in every breath, movement and step in every educational activity and practice through a continuous educational process with an independent, structured and systematized curriculum through typical disciplined patterns and lifestyles.Keywords: Value, Moderation, Internalization, Gontor

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out the fostering of religious harmony, the values of harmony and the obstacles faced by religious people through pesantren in Darussholah IV and Dalilul Khoirot An-Nawawi Islamic boarding schools in Bangka Belitung. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. The results of this study are: cooperation in religious activities, as well as cooperation in social service activities. While the values of religious harmony are: the value of unity, ta'aruf", the value of equality of degrees, the value of tawheed, especially tawheed uluhiyah (tawheed of worship), the pledge of rejection of all forms and practices of worship to other than Allah and the value of faith. While the obstacles are: not wanting to be friends with close residents, there are some groups of people who argue with each other over matters of belief so that they want to be right themselves and who often idolize other groups, lack of knowledge and understanding of religion, negligence between together with the people so that the formation of conflict and mutual suspicion.Keywords : Coaching, Religius Harmony, Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Abstract: This article will find policy considerations in disaster mitigation planning by looking at disasters that have occurred before and Islam contributes to caring for the environment before, during and after disasters. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were obtained from secondary sources to explore conceptual and comparative perspectives. The results of this study are three, namely; Islamic teachings in the Qur'an and Hadith show guidelines for humans to preserve nature to prevent natural disasters early on. Government policy also plays an important role in preventing all possibilities that have the potential to trigger natural disasters. Finally, two factors, namely Islamic teachings and government policies in terms of preventing disasters, must create the prevention of natural disasters.Keywords: Environment, Conservation, Islam, Indonesian policy, Mitigating

Abstract

Abstract: The concept of unity needs to be studied on the basis of Islamic pretexts, describing the unity of Muslims in order to organize the continuity of life. The purpose of this study is to offer the concept of unity according to KH. A Wahab chasbullah so as to provide an understanding of the reader in responding to divisions within the Muslim community, both on a national and international scale. This research took the form of library research , in which several articles were found in the media, especially the NU swara magazine, from 1920-1930. The results of this study have found that KH. A Wahab chasbullah about unity based on QSAli imron verse 103, QS Al-hujurat verse 13, several hadiths and qoul sohabi . According to him, the importance of the unity of the Islamic Ummah is that the purpose of Islam for humanity can be achieved, social order with the understanding of Islam rahmatan lilalamin is able to bridge national and international scale relations. Further research can be developed for researchers by focusing on KH. A Wahab chasbullah in terms of education, politics, or the NU organizational movement in his day.Keywords: Thought KH. Abstract

Abstract: This research paper, has tried to highlight the contribution of Anzar Shah Kashmiri to hadith and Islamic sciences. The research concentrates on one of the prominent figures of Darul Uloom Deoband who devoted his entire life to the service of the Qur'an and Hadith, and was a teacher of Hadith and Tafsir as well as a scholar of the sciences of these two most authentic subjects in Islamic studies and research. To write this research, I read and researched many articles in Arabic and English and Urdu, from different authors about Sheikh Anzar Shah Kashmiri to complete this paper. Sheikh Anzar Shah Kashmiri was one of the great scholars of Islamic sciences in India, who through his vast knowledge of Hadith and Quranic sciences, transmitted the information to his disciples and students in particular, while through his public speeches and addresses, the information was transferred to the general public in general.
