Abstract

Anaemia is a condition where blood red blood levels or haemoglobin is lower than normal values. More than 50% of cases of anaemia are spread throughout the world. One of checks to diagnose anaemia is examination of haemoglobin levels. Examination of haemoglobin levels can be determined by several methods, namely the Sahli’s method, the Cyanmethemoglobin method manually and by automatic method. Examination of haemoglobin levels with a of more than 5 minutes incubation time leads to inaccurate results. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. This type of research is experimental research to determine the effect of the incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. The population in this research is outpatients with a diagnosis of kidney failure at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto, in March 2019. The number of examination samples is 9 samples which is carried out at the Gatoel Hospital Laboratory, Mojokerto. The results of this research show that the average haemoglobin incubation rate of 5 minutes is 7,52 g/dl, incubation of 20 minutes is 7,18 g / dl, and incubation of 30 minutes is 7,04 g / dl. The conclusion of this research is that there is no effect on the delay in incubation time on the results of the haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transmission of the Zika virus a mathematical model that was introduced by Ding, Tao, and Zhu (2016). Based on the analysis, obtained a disease-free equilibrium point, then the stability is seen from the basic reproduction number. The basic reproduction numbers show supporting factors and inhibitors of transmission of Zika virus. Then looking for optimal control, the principle is to control transmission of the Zika virus through reducing interactions between mosquitoes and humans, transmission from infected mosquitoes to susceptible humans, and estimates of mosquito deaths by being given insecticides. With the optimal control solution obtained, it produces a strategy to prevent and control the Zika virus and does not incur expensive costs.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Telenomus sp. as a biological agent, can be used to control a new pest, namely Spodoptera frugiperda which attacks maize in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to count the number of eggs of S. frugiperda parasitized by Telenomus sp. and to calculate the level of parasitization of the parasitoid Telenomus sp. against S. frugiperda in the laboratory. Research method that used in this research were searching for S. frugiperda caterpillars and preparation of Telenomus sp. The data analysis used in this research was inferential analysis. The results of this study were tested using the normality test, as well as the homogeneity test, and continued with the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that parasite level of parasitoid in tube I, tube II, tube III, and tube IV, namely 0%, 23.5%, 18.3%, 11.3%, and the calculation of sex ratio on Telenomus sp. were 2 females and 1 male were found. This study concludes that the number of parasitoids Telenomus sp. affects the level of egg parasitization.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Pseudo-differential operator in a function space is obtained from the Fourier transform of this function space with a multiplier function. This paper will discuss and prove the boundedness of pseudo-differential operator in Lebesgue space with the multiplier function is in the class S0. The evolution of the pseudo-differential theory was then rapid. Based on development from this history, it has gave birth to the general definition of pseudo-differential operator that explain in this paper The general definition of pseudo-differential, of course has an applied or representation. One of them is the problem of partial differential equations in the Poisson equation  have the solution , and using Fourier transforms is obtained. In this case the form can be carried in the general form of a pseudo-differential operator. The  solution can be estimated for every if operator  is a bounded operator. In this paper, the operator defined with correspondes some symbol that describe this operator is more interest. The conclusion of this paper is the boundedness pseudo-differential operator , so we can estimated this number.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

One of the diseases that attack the lungs is pneumonia. This disease can attack someone with a weak immune system. Pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs that can be caused by pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The purpose of this study was to classify fungal pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, and lipoid pneumonia based on texture characteristics and the MLP method using machine learning WEKA. The method in this study has three stages including pre-processing, extraction of texture features consisting of Histogram and GLCM, and classification using the MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron) method. The results of the texture feature extraction showed that the three types of pneumonia were: lipoid pneumonia with brightness, sharp contrast random distribution on correlation characteristics, bacterial pneumonia with high brightness, high contrast random distribution on energy characteristics, and fungal pneumonia with brightness, sharp contrast, random distribution of homogeneity attributes. The third similarity of pneumonia is in the gray level that collects each other in the middle. The method used in this study resulted in the same accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, namely 100%. The image classification in this study shows the success of the texture features and the MLP method in classifying pneumonia images accurately so that they can be used as additional tools that make it easier for medical experts.   ©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Soursop leaves (Annona muricata Linn.) contain antioxidant compounds. Antioxidants are useful for protecting body cells from damage caused by free radicals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the antioxidant and organoleptic activity of soursop leaf herbal tea (Annona muricata Linn.). The antioxidant activity test used the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyil-1-picrylhydrazyl), while the organoleptic test was performed using the scoring method. The results of the study stated that the highest taste value was obtained in the 150-minute drying time sample of 2.4 and the lowest value in the 60-minute drying time sample of 2.1. The highest color was obtained in the sample drying time of 60 minutes of 3.5, while the lowest value of the sample of drying time of 150 minutes was 1.8. The highest aroma value was obtained in the 60-minute drying time sample of 3.2 and the lowest aroma value in the 120-minute drying time sample of 2.2.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

The quality of laboratory examination results must always be guaranteed in the sense that it can provide a level of accuracy and precision that can be accounted for. Therefore, a study of External Quality Consolidation (PME) was conducted. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of External Quality Monitoring in the field of clinical chemistry parameters of Serum Glutamic Oxalocetic Transaminase (SGOT) and Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) at the Public Health Center Laboratory in the Surabaya area. The population in this study was a health center in the area of the Surabaya City Health Office with a sample of 15 health centers that had examinations in the field of clinical chemistry. The sample used in this study was normal level control serum which was measured on the parameters of Serum Glutamic Oxalocetic Transaminase (SGOT) and Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Oxalocetic Transaminase (SGPT). The results of data analysis showed that the percentage of PME levels of SGOT with good VIS criteria was 73.33%, sufficient criteria was 0%, less criteria was 6.67%, poor criteria was 20%. While the SGPT parameters good criteria are 53.33%, sufficient criteria are 33.33%, less criteria are 13.33%, poor criteria are 0%.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.
