Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang tak kunjung usai membuat sebagian masyarakat mulai lelah dan abai menerapkan protokol kesehatan, termasuk masyarakat pesisir Sukolilo, Surabaya. Di lokasi tersebut sudah banyak dijumpai masyarakat yang sudah beraktivitas seperti kehidupan normal layaknya sebelum pandemic Covid-19 terjadi. Banyak masyarakat yang sudah beraktivitas di luar rumah tanpa memakai masker, menjaga jarak, dan lain seterusnya. Padahal pandemic Covid-19 gelombang kedua menyebabkan kasus kesakitan maupun angka kematian yang jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan pandemic sebelumnya. Oleh sebab itu menjadi penting untuk dilakukan edukasi kreatif guna menyadarkan masyarakat akan pentingnya menerapakan protokol kesehatan agar dapat terhindar dari penularan penyakit Covid-19. Kegiatan edukasi kreatif dilakukan melalui poster dan video beragam bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia, Jawa dan Madura sehingga masyarakat lebih mudah memahami terkait gejala, penularan dan pencegahan Covid-19. Kegiatan edukasi tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode door to door, sehingga tidak ada kegiatan pengumpulan masa yang dapat meningkatkan resiko penularan Covid-19. ` Masyarakat tersebut sangat antusias dengan kegiatan edukasi yang dilakukan, mereka juga menjadi lebih disiplin dalam menerapakan protokol kesehatan guna menghindari penularan penyakit Covid-19.

Abstract

Terjadinya pandemi Covid-19 gelombang 2 menimbulkan banyak masyarakat yang terkonfirmasi positif. Hal tersebut menyebabkan terjadinya over capacity di Pelayanan Kesehatan, sehingga pasien harus melakukan isolasi mandiri di rumah. Tuntutan berdiam diri di rumah dapat memicu terjadinya gangguan psikologis atau kondisi stres. Padahal kondisi stres sangat merugikan bagi tubuh, karena dapat membuat system imun menurun, serta menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan lainnya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukannya pendampingan psychoreligius care terhadap pasien Covid-19 yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri. Kegiatan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk:  1) mengidentifikasi tingkat stres pada pasien Covid-19 yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri. 2) Memberikan pendampingan psikoreligius care untuk mengurangi tingkat stres pada pasien isoman. Metode pelaksanaan pertama dilakukan tahap penjaringan (pre-test), kemudian pengolahan data, implementasi pendampingan psychoreligius care dan terakhir tahap evaluasi kegiatan (post-test). Hasil pendampingan dan screening diperoleh data bahwa, 1) Pasien covid-19 mengalami kecemasan ketika sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri dengan tingkatan yang berbeda-beda. 2) Setelah dilakukan pendampingan psychoreligius care selama 14 hari terjadi penurunan tingkat kecemasan sebesar 82,86%. Kegiatan pendampingan berjalan dengan baik dan masih perlu dilakukan pendampingan berlanjut mengingat ada sebesar 17,14% pasien isoman yang membutuhkan durasi waktu lebih lama untuk mengatasi kondisi kecemasan maupun stres yang terjadi pada dirinya.Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Isolasi Mandiri, Covid-19, Psychoreligius CareAssistance for Covid-19 Self-Isolation Patients at UM Surabaya with Psychoreligious CareABSTRACT The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic wave 2 caused many people who were confirmed positive. This causes overcapacity in health services, so patients must be self-isolate at home. The demand to stay at home can trigger psychological disorders or stressful conditions. Whereas stress conditions are very detrimental to the body, because it can make the immune system decrease, and it cause other health problems. Therefore, it is necessary to provide psychoreligious care assistance for Covid-19 patients who are undergoing self isolation. This mentoring activity aims to: 1) identify stress levels in Covid-19 patients who are undergoing self-isolation. 2) psychoreligious care assistance are given to reduce stress levels in isoman patients. The first implementation method is the screening stage (pre-test), then data processing, implementation of psychoreligious care assistance and finally the activity evaluation stage (post-test). The results of mentoring and screening obtained data that, 1) Covid-19 patients experienced anxiety while undergoing independent isolation with different levels. 2) After 14 days of psychoreligious care assistance, there was a decrease in anxiety levels of 82.86%. Mentoring activities are going well and there is still a need for continued assistance considering there are 17.14% of isoman patients who need a longer duration of time to deal with anxiety and stress conditions that occur to them.Keywords: Assistance, Self-Isolation, Covid-19, Psychoreligious Care

Abstract

Anaemia is a condition where blood red blood levels or haemoglobin is lower than normal values. More than 50% of cases of anaemia are spread throughout the world. One of checks to diagnose anaemia is examination of haemoglobin levels. Examination of haemoglobin levels can be determined by several methods, namely the Sahli’s method, the Cyanmethemoglobin method manually and by automatic method. Examination of haemoglobin levels with a of more than 5 minutes incubation time leads to inaccurate results. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. This type of research is experimental research to determine the effect of the incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. The population in this research is outpatients with a diagnosis of kidney failure at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto, in March 2019. The number of examination samples is 9 samples which is carried out at the Gatoel Hospital Laboratory, Mojokerto. The results of this research show that the average haemoglobin incubation rate of 5 minutes is 7,52 g/dl, incubation of 20 minutes is 7,18 g / dl, and incubation of 30 minutes is 7,04 g / dl. The conclusion of this research is that there is no effect on the delay in incubation time on the results of the haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method.

Abstract

ABSTRACT            Hydroponics is a technique for cultivating vegetable and fruit plants. The principle of hydroponic technique is the provision of nutrient solution as a source of plant nutrients. These plants are grown in certain media using water instead of soil. The presence of stagnant water in hydroponic techniques can be a breeding place for Aedes aegypti larvae. Aedes aegypti mosquito can do as a vector for dengue fever. Dengue fever is still a public health problem today. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential of AB mix as a nutrient for hydroponic plants as larvicides of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.This research was a pure experimental research. The research design used a pre post only group design. The research sample was F3 larvae of Aedes aegypti instar III. The research variables were the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae and variations in the concentration of AB mix. The test was repeated 10 times. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Based on the results obtained in all treatments there was death or mortality of mosquito larvae. The administration of 75% AB Mix with a duration of 70 minutes is the most optimal treatment to eradicate Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. So, it can be concluded that AB Mix can be used as an alternative larvicide to eradicate Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. Keywords                   : AB Mix, mortalitas dan Larva Aedes aegypti

Abstract

Pada tahun 2020 seluruh dunia sedang mengalami kondisi pandemik akibat infeksi virus. Virus SARS-CoV-2 yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit COVID-19. Kondisi ini mengakibatkan “Panic Buying”, karena semua orang mencoba untuk menghindari penyebaran dan penularan penyakit COVID-19 dengan melakukan berbagai cara, salah satunya dengan mengambil tambahan suplemen seperti vitamin C dan suplemen probiotik. Probiotik merupakan kelompok bakteri asam laktat, jika dikonsumsi dalam jumlah yang cukup dapat memberikan manfaat kesehatan bagi tubuh. Bakteri asam laktat memiliki fungsi sebagai imunomodulator atau meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh sehingga dapat mencegah infeksi penyakit pada hewan dan manusia. Kegiatan edukasi dan pelayanan dilakukan melalui poster dan penyampaian langsung dengan metode door to door. Sehingga karyawan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya lebih mudah memahami terkait konsumsi bakteri asam laktat untuk peningkatan sistem imun di COVID-19. Para karyawan sangat antusias dengan kegiatan edukasi yang dilakukan, mereka juga menjadi lebih disiplis untuk menghindari penularan dan pencegahan penyakit COVID-19.Kata Kunci: edukasi dan pelayanan karyawan, COVID-19, Bakteri Asam Laktat, dan sistem imun.

Abstract

Toksoplasmosis merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan karena terjadinya infeksi parasite Toxoplasma gondii. Penyakit ini bersifat zoonosis, karena dapat ditularkan dari hewan ke manusia. Kucing menjadi hospes definitive dari T. gondii, penyakit ini dapat menginfeksi manusia ketika mengkonsumsi daging mentah, mengkonsumsi makanan dan minuman ang terkontaminasi dan dapat ditularkan dari ibu ke janin atau ke bayi yang disusuinya. Kondisi ini umumnya dialami oleh kucing liar atau kucing peliharaan yang sering diberikan daging mentah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang bahaya toksoplasmosis, sehingga dapat melakukan cara pencegahan dan antisipasi penyebaran toksoplasmosis. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah presentasi dan diskusi tentang bahaya toksoplasmosis. Untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman peserta terkait bahaya toksoplasma, dilakuakn pretest di awal dan dilakukan postest diakhir kegiatan. Kegiatan ini diikuti sebanyak 38 peserta, yaitu ibu-ibu rumah tangga di balong panggang Gresik. Adapun rat-rata nilai pretest adalah sebesar 51,43 poin, sedangkan rata-rata nilai postest sebesar 72,29 poin. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyebab, bahaya, cara penularan dan cara pencegahan penyakit toksoplasmosis. Kegiatan edukasi diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan sehingga masyarakat tersebut dapat menerapkan langkah-langkah pencegahan infeksi penyakit toksoplasmosis

Abstract

Culex quenquefasciatus is a mosquito that acts as a vector of filariasis disease. In Indonesia filariasis is still one of the endemic diseases. This proves that the handling of vector Culex quenquefasciatus is still not done optimally. One way that can be done to control mosquito vectors one of them is to use larvacide. Larvacide which is widely used today is still synthetic. Although very efficient in causing mosquito mortality, larvacide synthesis harms the environment and can cause vectors resistance. Then another larvacide alternative is needed that is effective and does not cause negative effects. Plants can be a choice of larvacide from nature. The study aims to find out the potential of the water extract of bay leaves and papaya leaves in killing the larvae of the Cx. quenquefasciatus mosquito as well as the value of LC50 after 24-hour observation. The type of research used is experimental research. The concentration of the water extract of bay leaves and papaya leaves used is 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90% with trhee times replication. LC50 is calculated using the Finney formula (1971), the calculation is carried out using application SPSS statistical version 26. Based on the research conducted, the value of bay leaf water extract LC50 = 62.89 g/ml and papaya leaf water extract LC50 = 45.10 g/ml. So based on the LC50 value, ita can be concluded that papaya leaf water extract is more effective in causing mortality Cx. quenquefasciatus compared with bay leaf water extract.

Abstract

Terjadinya lonjakan kasus Covid-19 di kota Surabaya mengakibatkan daya tampung rumah sakit rujukan mengalami peningkatan, sehingga banyak pasien terkonfirmasi positif Covid-19 yang terpaksa harus menjalani isolasi mandiri. Banyaknya warga kota Surabaya yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri, memperparah kondisi ekonomi yang memang sudah tidak stabil sejak terjadinya pandemi. Oleh sabab itu UMSurabaya tergerak untuk mengejawantahkan spirit ke-Islaman dalam wujud aksi nyata peduli pada masyarakat. UMSurabaya menggandeng lazizmu, dosen dan mahasiswa bergerak melakukan aksi solidaritas kemanusiaan dengan menyediakan ratusan paket sehat untuk isoman dan puskesmas. Terdapat sebesar 681 paket sehat isoman yang disebarkan ke 33 kecamatan yang berada di kota Surabaya. Serta terdapat 19 puskesmas yang mendapat bantuan paket sehat dari UM Surabaya. Masyarakat Surabaya dan puskesmas sangat antusias dengan kegiatan pemberikan paket sehat, dan mereka merasa sangat terbantu dengan adanya pemberian paket sehat ini.

Abstract

Work that requires being in a humid area, can cause fungal infections. Skin fungal infections in humans can be divided into two, namely dermatophytosis and non-dermatophytosis. Dermatophytosis is a superficial fungal infection that attacks the keratinized parts of the skin, nails and hair and is caused by 3 genera, namely Microsporum, Epidermophyton, and Trichophyton. While non dermatophytosis is a fungal infection of the outer skin or this type of fungal infection does not reach the keratin tissue. Non-dermatophyte fungi include Aspergillus sp., Malessezia furfur. Due to dermatophyte and non-dermatophyte fungal infections, namely itching of the skin or earlobe. This activity aims to increase the understanding of cleaning workers at one of the universities in Surabaya about the dangers of fungus on the skin, so that they can prevent and anticipate early spread. The method used in this community service activity is the presentation and discussion of the dangers of skin fungal infections. To measure the level of understanding of the participants regarding the dangers of toxoplasmosis, a pretest was conducted at the beginning and at the end of the activity. This activity was attended by 22 janitors, both male and female. The average pretest score is 49,63 points, while the average posttest score is 71,48 points. These results indicate that there is an increase in the knowledge of cleaning workers at one of the universities in Surabaya about the causes, dangers, modes of transmission and methods of preventing skin fungal diseases. Educational activities are expected to be sustainable so that the community can apply steps to prevent skin fungal infections.
