Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of educated unemployment rates, education rate, economic growth, employment Rate and wages in Jambi Province and analyzed the effect of education rate, economic growth, employment rate and wages on the educated unemployment rate in Jambi Province. The data used is time series data from 2001-2016. This study uses descriptive analysis methods and quantitative analysis. The results showed that partially education rate and employment rate positive and significant influence on the educated unemployment rate in Jambi Province. While economic growth and wages has no effect on the educated unemployment rate in Jambi Province. Simultaneously the education rate, economic growth, employment rate and wages have a significant influence on the educated unemployment rate in Jambi Province.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyse the development value of GDRP, investment, production and absorption of labor in the city of Jambi as well as the influence of the value of production, investment and GDRP against labor absorption in the small city of industry Jambi. This type of research is explanatory research (research description). Where as to do hypothesis testing using linear regression equation itself multiple. The results of this study showed a good influence simultaneously or partially between production, investment and GDP against labor absorption in the small industry in the city of Jambi. Where the value of R2 which is 0.946 acquired for. That has meaning to the magnitude of the role or contribution of the variable the value of production, investment and GDRP was able to explain labor absorption in the small industry in the city of Jambi amounted to 94.6%. While the rest of 5.4% is affected by other factors that are not revealed in this study. This research suggests to maintain the condition of the economy that is stable then the Government must encourage sector agriculture and small business medium to keep growing because this sector is resistant to fluctuation and absorb the manpower in the amount large.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of poverty levels in Batanghari and Muaro Jambi regencies, to know the development of depth index and poverty severity index in Batanghari and Muaro Jambi District and find out the differences in poverty levels, depth index and poverty severity index between Batanghari and Muaro Jambi districts . This study uses time series research methods with quantitative analysis tools for different tests (t-test) using Independent Sample T-test. The data used in this research is secondary data. Secondary data comes from the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi Province. The results of this study indicate that during the period 2002-2016 the average poverty level in Batanghari District was 13.37% and the average poverty rate in Muaro Jambi District was 6.51%. Based on the results of independent sample t-test, it was found that each independent variable, namely poverty level, poverty depth index, and poverty severity index in Batanghari District together had significant differences to poverty level, poverty depth index, and poverty severity index. in Muaro Jambi District for the period 2002-2016.

Abstract

The research entitled “Analyzing The Affect of the Economic Growth, the Investment and the Wage Towards the Employment of regency/city in Jambi Province”. The purposes of this research were : (1) to analyze the economic growth, the Investments, the wage and the employment regency/city in Jambi province, and (2) to analyze the affect the economic growth, the investment and the wage towards employment regency/city in Jambi Province. With independent variable the economic growth, the Investment and the wage for regency/city while the dependent variable is employment regency/city in Jambi Province. This researcher used panel data regression. The F test indicated that simultaneously the variables of the economic growth, the investments and wage significantly affected employment regency/city in Jambi Province. while t test revealed that partially economic growth and investment affected employment regency/city in Jambi Province positively and significantly, meanwhile the wage insignificant to the employment at the regency/city in Jambi Province.

Abstract

This research entitled “Analyzing the affect of population growth, education, economic growth, government expenditure, unemployment rate and inflation towards the poverty rate of Jambi city”. The purpose of this research were to analyze the population growth, education, economic growth, government expenditure, unemployment rate, inflation and the poverty rate and to analyze the affect of population growth, education, economic growth, government expenditure, unemployment rate, and inflation towards the poverty rate of Jambi city.This research used ordinary least squares. The F test indicated that simultaneously the variables of the population growth, education, economic growth, government expenditure, unemployment rate, and inflation significantly affected the poverty rate of Jambi city. While t test revealed that partially education, government expenditure, unemployment rate and inflation affected the poverty rate of Jambi city. Meanwhile, the variables of population growth and economic growth insignificant to the poverty rate of Jambi city.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the condition and development of GDP per province of per capita, income inequality, the level of open unemployment and education in regencies / cities in Jambi Province. In addition, it also analyzes the influence of GDP per province of per capita, income inequality, open unemployment and education in regencies/ cities in Jambi Province in 2013-2017. The method of analysis in this research is panel data analysis with the fixed effect method. The research concludes that GDP per province of per capita Jambi province constantly increasing. The Gini ratio in Jambi Province varies. The open unemployment rate in Jambi Province has decreased. The average length of school in Jambi province constantly increasing. GDP per province of per capita has a positive and insignificant effect. Gini Ratio has a negative and insignificant effect. The Open Unemployment Rate has a positive and significant effect. Average School Duration has a negative and significant effect.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the socio-economic conditions of women, what factors influence the decisions of working women and how much the income contribution of women working towards the household economy. In determining the location of the study, this study used a "multistage sampling" method. Furthermore, proportional sampling will be applied, which is sampling in each region in proportion to the number of samples in each region. This study uses the "Binnary Logistic Regression" model, because the dependent variable is a dummy variable. The results of this study indicate that the average length of education of respondents 12 years, the number of dependents 4 people, 52.41 percent of respondents with perceptions of gender equality and 3.5 million/month the average income of respondents' husbands. The regression results show the variable number of dependents and gender instincts has a significant effect on the decision of married women to work. While the education level and husband's income variables did not significantly influence the decision of married women to work. And the biggest contribution is respondents who work in the private formal sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic conditions of Go-Jek drivers and the effect of working hours, work experience, age, education and number of passengers on the income of Go-Jek drivers in Jambi City. The data used are primary data obtained from questionnaires and direct interviews with a sample of 98. The sampling method used was incidental sampling. The data analysis tool used is descriptive and quantitative analysis with multiple linear analysis. The socio-economic conditions of Go-Jek drivers in Jambi City are known that the average age is 29 years. The average sex is male. The average marital status is not married. The average education is high school / equivalent. The average number of dependents is 2 people. The average job status is the main. The average side business is in the service sector. The average expenditure for operational costs is for fuel costs, pulses and internet costs, vehicle maintenance costs. The average expenditure for food consumption is for rice and non-rice. The average expenditure for non-food consumption is for education costs, health costs, clothing and others. The simultaneous results of multiple linear regression analysis that the income of Go-Jek drivers in Jambi City is influenced by working hours, work experience, age, education and number of passengers . While partially working hours, work experience, age, college education and number of passengers are significant influences on the income of Go-Jek drivers, while high school education has no significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of age, number of family dependents, land area, and number of working hours on the income of corn farmers (case study in Mekarsari Village). The population in this study were corn farmers in Mekarsari Village which amounted to 56 respondents. The method of data collection is a questionnaire. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. The results of the study show that 91.05% of corn farmers' income is influenced by age, number of family dependents, land area, and number of hours worked. Partially the age has a negative and significant effect while the land area, the number of family dependents, the number of working hours have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously age, number of family dependents, land area, and number of hours worked significantly influence the income of corn farmers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the street lighting tax and its effect on the gas and water electricity sector in Tanjung Jabung Barat District. In addition, the authors identified the development and tax contribution of street lighting. Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, the level of effectiveness of street lighting tax in tanjung jabung barat district and the influence of street lighting tax output on the electricity, gas and water sector in the West Tanjung Jabung Regency. This study used secondary data from the period 2006 to 2013. The data analysis method used in the study this is a descriptive quantitative method with regression analysis in interpolation data.
